Of course there will be interest from bigger clubs once it is confirmed that the knee injury has been treated.  My only concern is that why did he continue playing with the knee injury when him and the club were already aware that he had  knee problem, why didn't they commenced treatment immediately? Were they hoping that any club coming to buy him won't find out about the knee injury? Not that they were going to sell him at a reduced price. They knew all along and didn't mention it to AC Milan that the player had knee problem, that was very bad from Crystal Palace and Mateta camp.

Alexander Isak had a fantastic season with Newcastle United last year. This year, he's in a very bad situation with Liverpool, and the transfer could be considered a fiasco. Considering the high prices paid for player transfers in the Premier League, Liverpool definitely didn't get their money's worth in this deal. I don't know what kind of effort Isak will put in now, but I hope he can play in a way that justifies the money paid for him.

I feel sorry for him and not Crystal Palace. Metata got injured in November and the right thing to do after picking up an injury is to undergo surgery, but he has been playing with the pain, which I think was Crystal Palace's idea because of how important he is to the team.

Now, he has missed an opportunity to go to Italy, which he would have still missed if he had done the surgery. But I'm not really focusing on the failed move but on the big picture. If Metata had done the surgery immediately, it would have increased his chances of recovering on time and playing in the World Cup. According to the report, he's currently considering going under the knife and if he eventually does, it will dampen his chance of making it to the World Cup. Things are not looking good for him.

It's not unlucky. Palace knew mateta's condition, but they kept play him when he's injured. So it's all palace's fault. They think they can fool Milan by selling their damaged player. Beside that Milan's medical team did it right. They saved so much money from preventing Boniface joined the club, and now Mateta. I feel they deserve some appreciation as they saved team from being scammed.

How is that Atalanta's fault to begin with? He spend the last 3 seasons with Atalanta as well which was just decent season for him and this season, the whole Atalanta's teams are a mess including him. Aside from that although he has been decent at AFCON recently, he hasnt really score for Nigeria in World Cup qualification so yeah he was a mess and he is trying to get back on his feet so Atalanta isnt really the reason he is terrible this season

Not forget that Alexander Isak have started adapting to Liverpool pattern of football before the injury finally struck. In fact he even scored in the particular match that gave him this long time injury. I do not think it was actually Liverpool pattern of football but it was because of the change of Liverpool coach and the the change of players responsibilities.

But no matter how we talk about this, is possible that Alexander Isak has made the worse mistake of his career. There was a time I was unintentionally against him because of his lack of faithfulness to his former Club Newcastle that brought him today timeline. It does seem to be true that the strategy implemented by Arne Slot is not suitable and has even tended to make Alexander Isak struggle to adapt at Liverpool. Injury problems have also been a major setback, preventing him from performing according to expectations since his move from Newcastle. At a glance, many people would clearly label the transfer as a failed investment.

I honestly agree with you that Isak is actually the most important missing piece in the Newcastle squad that is actually making them to actually be having such a moderately poor season at the moment in the league. I think they have failed to actually replace him with someone who is with of similar quality as him even though they spent close a 100 million on Woltemade who started his Newcastle career so well but has since fell off.

Although I didn’t like the manner at which Isak left his former club but I am optimistic that won’t affect him in the Liverpool shirt, if he returns and puts back this injury behind him as he had always done at Newcastle he will most certainly be firing at all cylinders soon or best next season

I love to see him show more of what we saw at the AFCON, he did pretty well and I can tell you for free that he was happy to play at a healthy environment but after the AFCON he went back to Atalanta, if he had stayed to maybe give them a reason to keep him or anything (like increase his salary like others do) I don't think he'd display something impressive.
Like what you said about adapting to a new club I agree with you, this same thing have affected so many players and it is few that pick up immediately like they have been playing for the league they find themselves for long. Well, we can't say he'd adapt fast or not until we see him play but for me I feel he can blend in fast because of how he started immediately he moved from the English club (Fulham I think) to Atalanta, there in Italy he played like someone who has been there for long and that's what I'm expecting from him in Spain (Atletico Madrid).

I personally think that Lookman can actually get better but it depends on how the coach gives him freedom and roles and chemistry to keep him comfortable with what he does on the pitch and for this season he didn't get that from the new coach.

Lookman was very good in Gasperini's hands but not all coaches can do the same and for me this type of Lookman is the same as Lukaku in Conte's hands.
At the moment his performance is declining but that also cannot be blamed on his current condition especially before he also wanted to leave so even though the impression is not too respectful of the employment contract for the fans but I think from the beginning he should have been allowed to leave because for now apart from this it can make his value decrease because his performance is not like before this can also make a separate loss for Atalanta.
