Manchester United are asking €30 million for Rashford. Yesterday they stated that they are not willing to negotiate this is the final price. Barcelona would like to buy Rashford, as he has become an important player for their team, but given Barcelona's continued financial difficulties, it is difficult for them to agree on such a transfer fee. Carrick has also said that he would like to bring Rashford back to Manchester United, but the situation is complicated because Rashford himself would prefer to stay at Barcelona. For now, it’s unclear how this deal will be resolved, but I think that in this case, Rashford’s own desire will be the most important factor.
Barcelona want to pay Rashford in installments, as they often do with other players already at the club. Don't be surprised if Barcelona still have a lot of arrears to other clubs. The same applies to Rashford, Barcelona hopes Manchester United will be generous enough to let him go at the lowest price.

The program of Barcelona, when it comes to money is not a club problem it is a league problem, if you watch very well, Real Madrid are always looking for free agent players to sign because they cannot afford to pay for a player and the reason why all this are happening in La Liga is because they don’t give them free chance to borrow money and payback, in English Premier league they usually borrow money and payback there are some club in English Premier league that are owing money but they still allowed them to borrow in order to buy back, if you check right now you will discover that the league spending the highest money in every transfer window is usually the English clubs. The La Liga president need to do something about what is happening? They should allow the clubs to have freedom in borrowing because they will definitely pay back.
I just pray Manchester United will be generous but I doubt.

Manchester United reportedly won't lower their price for Rashford. Will Barcelona give up on signing him? The option is 26 million Pound, not a small amount of money. We know Barcelona is still in the financial recovery phase. They had asked for a discount, but United rejected it once again.
Rashford's statistics look amazing. He started 20 matches and scored 10 goals and made 10 assists. That's 1 goal contribution per game, excellent stats. He played a total of 34 matches, which gives a ratio of around 0.59 total. I think Barcelona shouldn't let him go just because of the cost. It would be difficult for them to find a better player for that price.
I've never been a Rashford fan but he is indeed a very good player and the price Manchester United are asking for is more than fair. Considering how crazy the transfer market has become I would say it's almost cheap. The problem is that Barcelona don't have any money so of course they are trying to bring the price down. I just wonder how they eventually think to pay for his salary, Rashford should accept a huge pay cut in order to stay...

Rashford has adapted very well. He's a popular player within Barcelona. Even if Rashford isn't Barcelona's first choice, he's a fantastic second option. Therefore, bringing him into the team would strengthen Barcelona. That's why Barcelona should sign him. I think he'll have many suitors from both La Liga and the Premier League.

Marcus Rashford might agree to a pay cut in his contract. If so, he could continue playing for Barcelona in Spain. However, if he doesn't lower his financial expectations, he will likely return to England and a transfer to a Saudi Arabian team could happen. Whether Manchester United wants him in their squad also depends on their new manager. If the new manager wants to get the best out of him, Barcelona might not allow him to be sold.
The situation is complicated because Barcelona's finances don't allow Marcus Rashford to earn a high salary, so he must be willing to lower his expectations. Marcus Rashford's performance has improved significantly since playing for Barcelona and if he's serious about advancing his career, there's no harm in accepting a pay cut. A return to Manchester United wouldn't guarantee a regular starting spot, although the current Manchester United manager likes Marcus Rashford and he should carefully consider this.

I'd prefer to see Marcus Rashford play at Barcelona because he's capable of achieving a much better level of play in this squad and sometimes moving to another club for whatever reason can derail his career. If Marcus Rashford considers the salary issue, perhaps Barcelona can make a decision about his future and this will depend on the agreement between the two parties.

In reality Rashford is already taking a pay cut at Barcelona, I just checked: Barcelona are currently paying him a gross salary of 14 million euros per year (including all the bonuses). But it looks like that this agreement represents a 15% to 25% pay cut from his previous salary Manchester United. I didn't find the exact pay cut percentage but I don't know how much further reduction he is going to accept at this point...

The asking price isn't too much if you ask me, it actually depends on how much Barcelona desires Rashford, that should be the driving force towards acquiring the English forwarder, the amount shouldn't be consequential in this case because Rashford has proven beyond all reasonable doubt that he is worth any amount of money that Manchester United is asking from them and I don't think Barcelona wouldn't meet the asking price despite their financial woes.
Marcus Rashford is a very talented player. He has a personality that allows him to give his all for Barça. He's someone who feels mentally comfortable in a team and tries to contribute as much as possible. Therefore, if Barcelona signs him, they will be strengthening their rotation squad. If you're missing a player or need a substitute, you can completely rely on a player like Rashford.
On the side of the player(Marcus Rashford) I think he is quite justified and has given his best which is why Barcelona are trying to explore the option of keeping him on permanent basis which is a move in the right direction for both the player and the club,

Am very optimistic that when this deal is finally done with it will go a long way to further motivate the English man to continue to help the club achieve their goal which is winning the La'liga and UCL.

I've never been a Rashford fan but he is indeed a very good player and the price Manchester United are asking for is more than fair. I also agree that Rashford should accept a pay cut and remain in Barcelona instead of going back to Manchester United but if he cannot accept a pay cut, he can return back to Manchester United and still excel, after all the team is in a good condition now so i believe that Michael Carrick also knows the importance of having Rashford in the squad so he will absolutely make good use of him. Staying back at Barcelona is not a bad idea for Rashford but the club is not yet out of their financial predicaments so i wonder if they can pay his salary consistently.

According to Fabrizio Romano post, Michael Carrick is planning on bringing Marcus Rashford back to Old Trafford. Everything depends on the player if truly he wants to play for Barcelona then I don't think there's anything Carrick can do about that. Yes the player is under contract at Manchester United and so therefore he is still a United player. But he can hand in transfer request and make it clear to the club that he doesn't want to play for them anymore. I think Barcelona will make sure they pay whatever that's needed to keep him at camp now.

From my own opinion, I don't think accepting the pay cut is a good option for a player like him. Know doubt he lost consistency and even finds it difficult proving his worth at Manchester United before pushing for a move that have landed him at Barcelona, since his arrival at Barcelona  he has been able to get back to consistency even not to his maximum but his impact at the team can still be recognised significantly based on his effort in the team. So if they wish to reward his efforts by permanenting his deal I think it should be as it was before coming instead of giving him a pay cut that may weaken his performance at the team.
As for returning to Manchester United,  if he can maintain his current form I think it won't be a thing of regret for him because the Manchester of before is not the one we see now.

Lmao. If younare Rashford are you going to receive a pay cut just because you like a club? There must be a balance when you want to retain a club. If Barcelona enjoys him and what he has done for the club, they should buy him and make him a permanent player like the rest of the players. The good thing is that if he does considering they have always been a top club, they can sell him when they like and may even get more money from the deal.

However, if they can't take him which is even likely than for them to take him. It's better they let him go back to Manchester United. The club isn't bad like when Amorim was still managing the club. He has a contract toll 2027 end. He can play another more season before he can become a free agent and go to another club. I don't like it when contract is too complicated, must players get their wages slash everytime, it's not ideal.

I am not Rashford so whatever he decides that will be good for him then he should go for it. But however, even at Manchester United he is being overpaid considering the little impacts he was making in the club before the loan deal that took him to Aston Villa and Barcelona. £325,000 is way too high as weekly wages for Rashford. Not only Rashford but a lot of Manchester United players are paid high wages which did not even commensurate with their input to the team. Barcelona is not financially stable now so it will be difficult for them to retain Rashford, he should just come back to Manchester United and complete his contract which is expected to terminate by 2028 and not 2027 as you said. Remember he signed a 5 year contract with Manchester United in 2023 so it will be due in 2028.

The English player might be willing to take a pay cut to remain in Barcelona. The problem is that will the club ne willing to pay £26million Marcus Rashford? Barca have been going through some financial problems that they focus on buying cheap players.

I also think that Manchester United should settle on a manager before making decisions about Rashford. They should give Michael Carrick a permanent deal or seek another option. It is the coach who will decide whether he needs Rashford in the team or not.
If he has problems with his salary, Barcelona may not want to sign him. Therefore, Barcelona needs to examine their salary policy. They need to see if there is enough room for his salary. If this transfer doesn't happen within the Financial Fair Play rules, the Red Devils might show interest in Rashford again, perhaps at the request of the new manager.

From my own opinion, I don't think accepting the pay cut is a good option for a player like him.

Hang on, are we talking about Rashford initial salary at Man Utd or his current salary at Barcelona? Because his current salary has dropped by 15% and he agreed to it since the loan. And anyway, if the salary continues to be lowered, doesn't this mean that it is the same as breaking the relationship with Barcelona because I'm sure Rashford won't agree to it and have to return to Man Utd, which is actually a bit unfortunate because Rashford is unlikely to perform like in Barcelona.

Well said, everything depends on the manager if he will be having plans for him or not. Carrick not being a permanent coach makes it difficult to make a decision about Rashford but I feel it will be wise for Rashford to remain at Barcelona and probably accept a pay cut. Manchester United fans have seen Rashford at his best and worse times and I think it will be difficult for Rashford to reach his best performance again at United so anything he does won't be appreciated if he goes back but his so called underperformance is much appreciated at Barcelona so it's better he remains where he will be valued.

If Barcelona can pay £26 million then Rashford should remain there. At Barcelona there is an assured champions league spot and also a lot of opportunities to win titles.

Rashford could actually reach a better level at Manchester United with the new manager. Therefore, a move to Manchester United could be a very important step for his rebirth. However, he is currently happy at Barcelona, and although his contract has decreased, I think he is ready to commit completely to Barcelona with a new contract. But if Barcelona demands an even lower contract fee, this transfer will probably not happen.

Ruben Amorim might have been all that but he left Manchester United in a better spirit of fighting and together. Having players like Marcus Rashford and Garnacho leaving will forever be the best thing a club manager has done in ages but then, no sane manager who wants to succeed will want to see Marcus Rashford back to Carrington and Old Trafford. Marcus Rashford is better over the Spanish league than currently,  he should go on to do well over that ends.

If it's not money problem then what is it? Do you realise that Barcelona were almost bankrupt few seasons ago? Do you know why they needed to add Spotify to the Camp Nou instead of just the normal name Camp Nou? Do you still know why they were auctioning the grass from the old stadium? Do you know why Barcelona are still unable to pay players salaries? If it's not money problem then tell us exactly what it is. When I read further and heard you talking about Real Madrid then it dawned on me that you don't even know what you're saying. Do you realise how much Real Madrid paid for Bellingham few seasons ago? Do you know how much Real Madrid approached PSG for Mbappe few seasons ago and they rejected it? Do you know how much Real Madrid paid for 16 years old Endrick? So you want Real Madrid to keep on spending massively on transfer, it has changed, instead of spending heavily, they negotiate with the player when his contract expiration is near. That's a smart business, you save and use it for other areas of the club.

Sancho left for Dortmund and he had an incredible season, when he came back to Manchester United, his performance dropped also, it seems the fault is coming from Manchester United and not the players, the same happened to Rashford, he's succeeding at the club he is now, once he returns again, we might see him return to his old self after passing his prime.

The English player might be willing to take a pay cut to remain in Barcelona. The problem is that will the club ne willing to pay £26million Marcus Rashford? Barca have been going through some financial problems that they focus on buying cheap players.
I don't think the fees is the main concern to sign him permanently. If Barcelona is really keen to do that, they can sell fermin or someone else, then use money raised to buy him. However, it's much more on his salary, which is ridiculously high.
We know how such fees is a steal for a winger who can score and assist. however, €269,000++ weekly is obviously burdening for Barcelona in long term.

If barca doesn't want him due to his salary, then send him back instead of lowballing UTD. It's impossible to expect him to reduce his salaray from €269,000++ weekly to €130,000++.
