I think Rashford will get a chance if he returns to United to play alongside Michael Carrick because he is the type of player who seems to fit Carrick's strategy, and as far as I remember,  they did play together when Carrick was still a player at Man United. There are also rumors that Carrick wants to bring Rashford back,  but whatever the outcome, the decision is now entirely up to Rashford. What I see is that Rashford feels at ease in Barcelona, and there he gets more opportunities than he did at Manchester United,  but I also see that there may be reasons why the transfer failed because Barcelona still seems to want to get Rashford for even less, while Man United has no intention of lowering the price.
Barcelona is a greedy piece of shit. Rashford has done really well since moving to Spain. He has contributed 10 goals and 13 assists so far, despite not being a regular starter. With such a fantastic performance, what's there in paying the £26 million pounds that was agreed upon by both clubs? Which, in my own opinion, is a bargain for a player of his quality. Well, I'm sure United's board will never listen to the request, and if, at the end of the day, he returns to Old Trafford, there will be many other clubs willing to offer more to have his signature.

Perhaps his brilliant performance and the rising market value have made Man United regret letting him go to Barcelona at a cheap price. It turns out Amorim's move was wrong; Rashford is performing very well. Reportedly, his market value has also increased significantly, currently estimated at £50 million, nearly double the price agreed upon in the purchase option. If this happens, then Barcelona is very lucky to have loaned Rashford, and reportedly he also does not want to return to Man United because he is very happy in Barcelona.

There's a difference between being greedy and being able to afford something, in this case I don't think they're greedy since they're having financial crisis and have enough cash to pay for Rashford's huge wage bill if they sign him. Well i understand why you think they're greedy cause £26m is something you feel a big club like Barcelona should easily afford. Yes that's true but then they're currently struggling and barely have enough to sign players.

Well Rashford has been doing great and worthy of being retained permanently by Barcelona, I feel they might try convince Manchester United on another loan. I believe that Rashford won't want to go back to Manchester United and could go to another club permanently if Barcelona fail to sign him.

Many football clubs might want to get the services of Marcus Rashford. He has shown himself to be a hardworking player since his transfer to Barcelona. His career was about to hit rock bottom at Manchester United under some coaches. But the salary of Rashford might also scare some clubs away. He earns about €14 million per year, and some clubs might not be able to afford it. If he decides to reduce his earning many clubs will give him offers. I also think that  £50 million for the English player is high.

Rashford is a great player to have in the squad, but what they still don't understand is that playing somewhere he doesn't want to be means keeping him in a "cage" will never do as well as he could at a club where he feels comfortable.
Let's remember that you are the market and they trade or sell players as stickers, but they are people, if I am well in one place I don't leave it even for double the money and feel bad.
Insisting is a mistake in my opinion.

Absolutely disagreed. Rashford has a contract, and he has to put respect on it. If he doesn't wanna go back to his old days club, he shoud push his current club to buy him out. Just because he doesn't wanna go back, then he acted like a petulant kid who lost his professionalism over the contract he signed with his old club. His fees was clear as well as his salary. So it totally depends on his destination club whether to buy him or not.

Other than that MUTD signed him for some money. So it makes sense if they're keen to recoup some money back by selling him. His price is also already reduced so hard. It's kinda stupid if they let him leave for free when he's still having years in his contract. Football club is a business, and they're not a charity.

Rashford has no intention of returning to Manchester United because he is currently quite happy being part of the Barcelona squad. Rashford's market value has indeed increased significantly after he has achieved a much better level of play. The purchase option will determine Rashford's career path because I believe he is currently capable of making a difference to the team, so deciding to buy him permanently would benefit Barcelona. Although some rumors suggest Barcelona is trying to make an offer regarding a salary reduction so they can make a much better decision regarding his future.

I'm disappointed that Rashford is been price like loaf of bread but amidst all this speculations, I don't blame Barcelona for pricing him and not want to negotiate above their bid. It's because they know Rashford don't have any option than to either go back to Manchester United where he doesn't like or he end up in Barcelona, just two place and since they know Manchester united sees him as burden, they will let the be sold at that ridiculous price they are bidding.

Another mistake that I can pinpoint from Rashford is that he didn't market his self very well, right now Barcelona can do better and win league with or without him. I saw some of his pictures including his Bio on social media and it all says he is interested in staying in Barcelona and now his market value has reduced. They want to buy him low so they can use him and sell him for outrageous price and I'm sure he is going to take the offer if the salary is very good.

Sancho left for Dortmund and he had an incredible season, when he came back to Manchester United, his performance dropped also, it seems the fault is coming from Manchester United and not the players, the same happened to Rashford, he's succeeding at the club he is now, once he returns again, we might see him return to his old self after passing his prime.
For me, I think when you enter a team that's performing, it's mainly natural that you will try your best also to be carried along. Rashford isn't actually being spectacular in Barcelona but their are players who have been covering his lapses. His the same Rashford of Manchester United the only difference is that he has team mates that turns up when he's messed up unlike Manchester United that his fault are shown because no one is covering up his lapses. Now that Manchester United is getting back on track and let's assume there will be space for him in the team, you will also notice the changes in him because he will be a better player than previous, if he messes up at least there are few players who will cover up. As a player, your team mates matters a lot. Let's assume Rashford was loaned to maybe Real Sociedad, the form you think his in now won't be the same.

Man United fans do not care for his return,  they want to earn more from his sake to Barcelona than they want him back.

Barcelona are trying to play gane all of a sudden, Man United will not back down from the agreement they have agreed prior to his Barcelona move. What Man United needs right now should be a midfielder, right winger and a new striker just if Zirkzee leaves Manchester United next transfer

You need to understand that Barcelona are currently under alot of financial restrictions on there journey to balance there books to meet the Laliga's 1:1 financial structure, and you need to know that all the months Rashford stayed in Barcelona, they were the one's paying his full wages unlike more common loan terms where wages are split between the two teams. Man United where happy for this loan and even introduced the buy option because they wanted to get raid of him, now they are adamant because Barcelona has made the player look good.

Reportedly, Rashford has bought a property in Catalona, so am not really sure Man United has pretty much any big right to say, because as usually he loves Barcelona, so they should just get this over with.

Yup that's right, Marcus Rashford is said to be preparing for a permanent move to Spain that means there is no option to return to Manchester United, On the other hand, Barcelona also wants to immediately complete the official transfer. Regarding salaries, Barcelona is willing to pay the same salary this season but maybe there will be a bonus option for example based on performance or other achievements. For now, Rashford is more suited with Barcelona while in the Premier League his performance continues to decline yeah maybe because the competition there is very tight.

When Barcelona completes the signing of Rashford, they will surely ask for a pay cut because they would want to keep to there new financial structure in other to not go back to that disaster there where in and they might place him in the Pedri and Gavi category, to compensate for the wage cut, that's when they will na add all those performance bonuses from goals and assists.

The question should be does Barcelona have enough money to spend on transfers? the answer is no, it's not about being stingy as you make it look like. Rashford is a fantastic player, we all know that but should Barcelona enter into debt just because they want to sign him fully into the squad? I think Barcelona just want to manage the players they already have and see how they can be able to scale through till January 2027. I even heard a rumor that Barcelona wants to buy and resell him and if that rumor is true it will be an insult to Rashford. If Rashford returns to Manchester United i don't think the club will release him anymore to another club except he wants to leave based on mutual consent.

You can't tell if Rashford performance will still decline now that Carrick is the current coach because most of the players that were performing poorly before Carrick took over as interim coach are currently performing well and I believe Rashford performance wouldn't be exceptional if he moves back to Old Trafford.

The problem lies between Barcelona and Manchester United agreement. If Barcelona can pay United the €30 million they requested, Barcelona can have  Rashford all to themselves but if they can't, Rashford will go back to Old Trafford since Carrick has interest in him.

Yes maybe you are right, I was just talking about Rashford past performance when he played with Manchester United and Aston Villa but if he plays under Carrick of course we can't describe his performance. I also understand that Manchester United are currently interested in Rashford it's just that I'm very sure Barcelona won't let him go and we know the reason. The same indication was made by Rashford when several media reported that Rashford was moving his assets from England to Spain that means he has made a decision, imo.

There are many rumors circulating about Rashford future at the moment, but I tend to believe that Barcelona will make his move from Manchester United permanent. Regardless of how Barcelona manage to navigate their financial difficulties, I think the club management always finds a way in the end. Rashford has the potential to perform even better next season once his status is permanent, and I don’t think returning to Manchester United would be a good option. Carrick may like Rashford qualities, but his own future is still uncertain at this point.

Many football clubs might want to get the services of Marcus Rashford. He has shown himself to be a hardworking player since his transfer to Barcelona. His career was about to hit rock bottom at Manchester United under some coaches. But the salary of Rashford might also scare some clubs away. Yes. I am not addressing the issue of how much income he will receive.

Bringing Rashford back into the team is not really a good idea to me personally, The squad is already doing marvellously well, why bring back a player that can distort the flow of the team, the attack seems to be doing just fine and the squad depth on the bench is good enough as well and honestly bringing him back can cause unnecessary competition and that can lead to dressing room ploblems.

I suspected Barcelona were going to pull something like this. It’s not surprising given their “financial troubles”. It is obvious that Barcelona are trying to take advantage of the fact that Rashford is happy at Barcelona and Manchester United don’t even want him back despite his impressive performance in the La Liga. If this isn’t handled carefully, we might just see a repeat of what happened with Antony.

Any sum of money that is now said to be set in stone is a normal negotiation process. It is February now and all parties have good reasons to wait. I think Barcelona would snap him for €20 million right now and Manchester would not let him go under €30 million right now because he isn't playing a bad season. It was in December I think when his market value was adjusted to €40 million.

Its more like we are waiting for a confirmation on the potential manager for the next season. The board has probably made few contacts but unless there is a final confirmation on wether Rashford will be in the plan for the next manager then its gonna be a waiting game. Considering that he has been scoring that many goals and he seems to be perfectly fit for Barcelona's plan then I guess minimum number would be atleast  €25 million but I doubt Barcelona gonna be willing to pay more than  €23 million

It is good to see that you didn't add 0.5 million to your estimate. I know you are one of the biggest experts in football, but being as precise as €23 million is spectacularly professional. Do you use calculus software or specific metrics to come up with these estimates? I am buffled and awed at the same time. I think it could be more like €24 million, but I agree that €25 million is too much. As it is very well known, in football every million counts.  Grin

I think there is not to be waiting for regarding the potential manager. When Manchester United qualifies for the UCL, Carrick will stay. They may want to sign him for longer under most circumstances, perhaps when they make the Europa League. It would still be progress and for now they are doing great compared to the disappointing times when Amorim was there.
