Griezman from Atletico to Orlando City. He finally realizes that he's not that good to play in La Liga anymore. So he decides to leave from Atletico Madrid in summer. He has been performing quite well recently, and it's right time to end his career at european competition on a high note. Griezmann is 35 years old, and no matter how hard he tried to play in La Liga, he wouldn't be able to stay for another two seasons as a starter. Therefore, leaving now, with a good financial offer, to play in a highly developed country like the USA isn't a bad choice. On the contrary, he's making a good choice; American customs aren't difficult to adapt to, and I believe he'll have a good retirement. It's true that in the past, players would return to their first clubs in their home countries when they reached 35, but nowadays players focus more on money to secure a better retirement because history has shown that the high salaries they earn in Europe can disappear very quickly after retirement, and their lives can become a living hell.

Is this really correct I'm wondering? I mean he has been waiting for this moment for a long time surely. He didn't want to accept any offer from clubs instead of French national team. Otherwise he would have already found a club for himself. Deschamps' contract is about to expire by the end of this July. After the World Cup then probably Zidane will start his new job there. I'm looking forward to what he will do there already... Not official but we can see the signs all over of him being the next French team manager. We've had this discussion over and over on here. He won the world cup with the French national team as a player, he will also win it as a manager. I will never be surprised when this happens. He will do it just the same way Deschamps did. We all know he will get the job, he is just the perfect name to replace Deschamps. I'm not sure if he's perfect because he hasn't managed a team for a long time. Managing a team as star-studded as France isn't easy. Yes, he had a career at Real Madrid in the past, but I don't know if he can adapt to today's football tactics. France has a very high-quality and good squad, I think it will be difficult to manage, but if he can succeed, I would be happy for him to return to football as a coach.

Just like when Zidane coached Real Madrid with a star studded squad, it wasn't an easy task, however he proved himself by winning three consecutive CL titles. Of course, it might not end the same way, as coaching a national team is very different from coaching a club in terms of difficulty and dynamics, but if you never try, you never know what the outcome will be. So let's look forward to his potential new career with the national team if Zidane appointment as head coach actually happens.

The transfer of older players has different objectives now and then, especially with the massive amount of lucrative offers from Saudi Arabian clubs allowing many European players to leave for high salaries. Griezmann is similar but he chose MLS, a less demanding league. If he were to leave, a Saudi Arabian club might be much better, but the competition there is also much tougher than in MLS.

You’re right he has been actually out of football for such a long term but the fact he is he wasn’t out of football for such a long time, he has been attending football games even international competitions like the AFCON and that means he clearly would have seen how the game has evolved. Do we also know maybe this absence is a form of sabbatical leave to study more and improve himself, I think he definitely deserves the opportunity to lead his country from the dugout. No doubt this France team has a star studded squad but for someone like Zizo, this is certainly not a new one for him to take in, he had actually managed a team with Ronaldo, Bale and Benzema as an attack not to talk of the entire Madrid squad and I can say no manager handled it better than him. In terms of stardom this Madrid team outweighs the current France team

What would you like to do if you were the one to decide Lewandowski's future at Barcelona? To keep him for another year or send him away to start looking for a replacement finally? Honestly I wouldn't keep him any longer if I'm okay financially to buy a solid younger striker. Lewandowski can't score like in the past years anymore as he is old. However the problem is that Barcelona still has bad finances...

Bastoni is like one of the best defenders in the world now. Maybe even the best according to many people... He is still 26 years old and can be very beneficial for so many years! However his value is just quite high for a team like Barcelona. There is no way they can afford him with their current poor finances. They are even struggling to register new players you know. Apart from that, Inter should do their best to keep one of their most crucial members of the squad. For me Saliba is still the best, but yes I can see why Bastoni would be considered best by some, he is for sure top five in everyone's calculations right now. Even if you look at transfermarkt, which is a horrible website to compare players because they make up values very wrong and most players are transferred for prices that are wildly different from the value that website gives, but even they show him third place, Cubarsi due to his young age and already experienced and played for two seasons is second, not because he is better, but because of what he did so far and his very young 19 year old age.

Zidane has not managed a team not because he didnt offers from big clubs and countries. He was just focused on getting the job of the French national team manager. This is not the first time the former Real Madrid coach has taken a break. And he comes back better and winning more trophies. I am sure that Zidane would have been learning or improving himself all these while he is without a job.

Is this really correct I'm wondering? I mean he has been waiting for this moment for a long time surely. He didn't want to accept any offer from clubs instead of French national team. Otherwise he would have already found a club for himself. He is a perfectionist and wont really accept any offer from any club that doesnt really stand a chance to win anything. He is not gonna taint his managerial record. Over the course of 5 years after he was no longer in Real Madrid, there were tons of club trying to bring him in and we are talking about big shots that could give him decent amount that he wants but he wont take them because those clubs have no shots on winning He is probably gonna stick around until 2030 with France so yeah I guess he is no longer available until then

Griezman from Atletico to Orlando City. He finally realizes that he's not that good to play in La Liga anymore. So he decides to leave from Atletico Madrid in summer. He has been performing quite well recently, and it's right time to end his career at european competition on a high note. I remember Griezmann has always been dreaming to end his career in MLS. So he's finally reaching his last dream. That's the reason i don't get upset with his decision to go to the MLS, though i know some may feel it's a dumbe idea consider he can still play at europe. However, it will be so good if Atletico can win Del Rey, then give it as a reward to Griezmann dedication before he leaves in summer. Hmmm that's Alas....!!! Griezmann is such a fantastic player, and he also has so many memories with Atlatico Madrid but unfortunately now it's time come from him to leave his childhood club. I know it will be quite hard for him but due age factor he couldn't find a position in X11 line or even he would also be dropped from regular subb. Thus far he also spend a little time here at Barc but in Barcelona he couldn't find any solid performance and due to this his move towards Barcelona is flow move. Besides that I didn't see any official news that Atlatico Madrid is not extending the Griezmann contract due to rising age. But anyway still it would be good for Griezmann left the Spanish side and move towards MLS and will enjoy the rest of professional career.

If being patient was a person then it would be Zidane, he had the opportunity to coach clubs like PSG, Manchester United or Real Madrid again if only he has shown interest but he decided to stay out of managing a club and choose to wait patiently till he signed this deal with the France National team, Zidane really tried to stay several years without managing any team but was focus on his target until he landed the job, that's impressive. The France National team is blessed to have Zidane as their future coach, he has the potential to succeed like he did coaching a club team. Ofcourse much would be expected from him cause of his profile but i think he's equal to the task.

He knows what he is going to do because at least with his current age his focus is no longer on reaching the pinnacle of his career but on waiting before he actually retires and earning a bit more money for his later years as a professional athlete. He is now 35 years old and MLS is a good place besides SPL for older players to get a bigger salary and the competition is not too intense. Although there are some MLS players like De Paul who always say the ridiculousness of saying MLS is much heavier than the league in Europe but in the end we must also realize that for old players at this time MLS is a decent place to get bigger finances. Good luck in the new place for next season although in the end this is like enjoying life before actually hanging up his boots for Griezmann.

I have to ask same too because it sounds too good to be true, if you understand what I mean though. It's been long since his been patiently waiting for this opportunity, a coach that refused lucrative offers from other top clubs to be their manager, had always waited for this. Some people even accuse him of not being a real coach simply because he has coached only Real Madrid and has refused to coach another in exception of the France NT job. To me, I see him as being principled and knowing exactly what he wants instead of listening to what people would say about him, afterall his done what no modern coach has done in the past 30+ years, that alone is a legacy itself.

I don't know if am the only one having this sentiment, but I think that he is too good to be going to the major league soccer now, because if you are watching him this season at atletico madrid, you will realize that he still has a lot of fire in him, and can play for another two seasons very well without anyone knowing that he is up to 35 years already, but I guess that this particular move is all about signing his final big paycheck before he retires, because he is not playing like someone that is already 35 years of age, but regardless of if this news is correct or false, I believe that he still has what it takes to still deliver in the colours of atletico madrid in the next two seasons, but if this news is correct, I believe that he can hit the ground running because he is a top quality player.

Finally, zenedine zidane has finally gotten that made him refuses taking any other coaching job since he left real madrid, though i actually don't know how true this piece of news is, but their is no smoke without a fire close by, but i seriously doubt if he can do more better than deschamp that has won a world cup with the french national team and also lost a final to Argentina, so appearing in two world cup finals is not an easy task to accomplish, but no matter what, zenedine zidane knows that he has a very big shoe to fill if this news is actually true, because fans and pundits will be expecting more from him, to be a lot better than didier deschamp.
Time will tell whether he will be successful or not. I think he has a high chance of success with the French national team because he was a player who achieved great success in France when he was a footballer. His Real Madrid career was also full of successes. He is seen as an idol by many footballers, especially in France. Therefore, he has a respected reputation among footballers.

It would have been so epic if he could have gone to Miami. I know that it would be financially near impossible because they already have Messi and his friends, so getting Griezmann on top of that could be financially an issue, but they really could have done so much better.
I mean Messi is doing great at Miami and winning already, so it is not like they are looking like they need help, they can win without that help, but they are also growing older, so getting that help would have kept them going for a while longer. Messi can't continue to play for another 5 seasons with the same people, he would have to either retire or they need to change the players around him to better, and I think Girezmann would have been a good direction.

He is just the perfect person in my books. Just same way he did with managing special players with Real Madrid, he will do just the same with the French national team. Not managing a club shouldn't be an issue, get the necessary players who can execute and project whatever strategy and tactics and you're good to go. You underestimate Zidane, I may say he is not tactically great, but managing great and talented players?! He'll do just fine with the talented players in this squad. Worry less!!

Zinadine Zidane would be the perfect replacement for the present French Coach, the he fits into the profile, I don’t really understand what you meant by he will not fit into that profile, because as long as I know he is absolutely a good manager who have won numerous trophies with Real Madrid, and he isn’t a small coach that can’t adapt to the playing style of the current football that is being played right now, as long as I know and I understand what football is all about Managers who have rested well enough are the Managers who can perform absolutely phenomenal in their style of coaching, I believe he has his style of Coaching and he will be a very good coach for the French National Team.
