6 hours ago, West Ham sack Nuno Espirito Santo and are are expected to appoint Scott Parker as head coach after sacking Nuno Espirito Santo.
Westham United got relegated last season from the Championship. The 52-year-old Portuguese head coach has paid the price for West Ham's disappointing start to the Championship season, having overseen their relegation from the Premier League last season.
Michael Carrick is the next manager to get sacked. Yes/No
West Ham are actually not far from the top of the championship with them even in the playoffs position at the moment and just six points behind Middlesbrough on the championship table. This means that Espirito wasn’t totally the problem but seriously I share with the west ham management because the last two games were poor and if they do not take the necessary action it might affect them and it could be late by then. But Scot Parker? Fingers crossed here. As for Michael Carrick I think the game today most especially the second half simply bought him time because if Roma had won I am confident Carrick would be on his way out in the morning, let’s see where this will lead to though

Players come and go, unfortunately there are no longer any flags and there are no longer any important players who give everything for the club and for the shirt, they take advantage of themselves and go to clubs where they get paid more, the world has changed and this has also had repercussions in football, when a proposal is made the players leave, there is nothing left to do.
You just defined modern football in simple terms which is money. The problem we have now in football is the loss of passion for the game, football to me now is very much different to what it was back the , you would see players who are so passionate about the game and the club they represent, they fight for the club badge back then these days it's not the same thing, players are all about the money, looking for the club that bids the highest for them to join and not joining because they have love or passion for the club. I would also add one big difference compared to the past: clubs rely always more and more on foreign players because, in many cases, they are cheaper. This creates a chain effect because usually big clubs buy players from smaller clubs, but if these smaller clubs are full of foreigners, they have to buy foreigners. And what does it mean? That these players have no connection with the county and the club(s), they will simply go where they are paid more. I'm Italian, I remember players such as Del Piero, Maldini and Totti, just to mention a few: those are players who received offers from all the biggest European team, even offering them way more money than what they were making, but they always refused because they loved their clubs. These kind of players now don't exist anymore.

These kind of players now don't exist anymore. It's really difficult to see players who don't play for the money anymore. Well you are not wrong I also believe modern football is now mostly played for the money rather than love and passion. It's very difficult to see such kind of loyalty maybe it's because of the reliance on foreign players. Such loyalty can only come from home based players, It is really difficult to have foreign players that are that emotional attached to a club but that's not always the case. We've seen some local players leave a club for better offer elsewhere. So it's more of a personal desire. I think the money in modern football is the cause of all these, clubs now offer more money than they used to and high fees are demanded for a transfer of players so this is the major reason why players decisions are easily influenced by money.

Sacking Carrick while keeping this same players, Manchester United are still not getting better, if the management thinks a different manager can use the same quad to compete, then they better do it earlier before it's late, Manchester United are on the verge of struggling among bottom clubs to escape relegation. Very common to see managers take the blame when players are not performing well, based on the fact, Carrick deserves to be sacked, too many losses in a stretch.
Finally someone whose ideas align with mine. Carrick is limited with what he can do as a coach. If he tells the players to play 433 and they didn't do it as expected, he can't do anything than to instruct and that's it. The players are not helping. Which players are sitting on the bench that has not gotten their fair share of time to play in the matches but all disappointed. The defenders and midfielders are the worst set of players that need to be replaced. If they sack Carrick and not replace the players, it wouldn't do anything. What I sill do I'm the management is I will buy new players in January transfer, I will not sell any because there wouldn't be any serious offer from them. I will used the new players and the old players and make sure the team comes back to normal and then sell the rest of the players after the season. There will be higher bids on the players by then than if they want to sell them by January.

At the time, the Italian league was the best league in Europe. So it was easy for them to remain there. I don't think there was ever a time when money was not a factor, even though it has more relevance now. Italian players didn't leave the Italian league that much. Right now, if the Italian league produced a player like Del Piero, they would not want to spend their career in Italy. They will want to go to the bigger clubs in Europe and get paid more in the process. I think money has always been a big part of football. Madrid have always spent money to get big players, so did Manchester United and AC Milan. I don't think it has anything to do with foreigners. Some of the biggest legends of Milan were not Italians. Players like Van Basten, Seedorf, Kaka, Gullit, Shevchenko were all foreigners that made a name in the Italian league. Foreigners from other European countries and South America have always made it in top European leagues. If these players were playing today, they would want to play in the biggest leagues in Europe.

They have also stated in their earlier article that he would have the full rights to sign any player he wants in the next transfer window, that shows that they are looking at a long term managerial role for the England manager. The players also support Michael Carrick and that's an important addition to their performance, the dressing room should be in order for the team to play together and Michael Carrick has made sure of that, time is all United players need to build back their confidence.

Most Manchester United fans were unhappy that their team won yesterday, because the more he lose, the more the board will be pressured to sack him, but I just believe that this comeback winning against Roma only buys him more time, because I know that he can be promise that they will stick to him, but if the losing becomes unbearable, they will be forced to sack him, in other not to fall into a deeper shit. Their performance in the second half was really amazing, and to be honest, if they were performing like that in most of these games they lost, they would have won, so I just believe that this is a new beginning for Michael Carrick and his boys.

I recently saw an interview Alvarez gave to Movistar at the end of October, after Atletico's victory over Deportivo, in which he scored the winning goal. During that interview, he publicly apologized to the fans. To sum up what he said, he regrets his comments during the World Cup about wanting to leave Atletico and join another club. Now his focus is on improving his game and becoming a better player together with Atletico. That's why I don't think he's currently considering a move to Barcelona.
Alvarez had no choice but to admit his mistake while his contract was still in force, of course, in order to survive and be accepted back by all parties, he had to apologize. I understood his interest at the time to leave because it coincided with an ideal moment, but as a club Atletico Madrid had the right to keep the player. Alvarez and Atletico Madrid problems could have been solved from the start if the player had been aware of his mistake. The Atletico Madrid saga with Alvarez is not entirely justifiable but he made it clear that he wanted to leave the club, and that was enough reason for the club to respect his decision. He did not have any choice than to apologize to the fans to make sure that he is on good terms with both his teammates and the board, I don't think he had other options. He has 2 goals and 2 assists in 10 appearances this season, it's not an entirely bad record right? He should have a good time at Atletico Madrid if he puts his mind into the game.

I think other player have actually asked to leave their clubs in the past and we all know how respectful it was and how they handled the situation some even getting a send off in the process and not something that they did force like Alvarez actually did with Atletico Madrid, he as a player was already talking to Barcelona before the club knows of the move and that’s disrespectful because it was through the club first that the negotiations was supposed to start and sincerely he didn’t handle it well. To worsen the situation he almost protested against the club after they claimed he wasn’t for sale sometimes I wonder maybe this players knows that they are under contract when they try to force a move with more years on their contracts

Perhaps letting him go in January would be the best option for Atletico Madrid.

About if Michael Carrick will be the next victim, I think yes because he has not improved the team, Manchester United is currently losing at Old Trafford against Roma in their Champions League game, I don't think the management will continue like this, they will have to settle him and find a quick replacement immediately because this is getting out of hand, Manchester United is losing all the credibility they had.
In the last few seasons, they have appointed a manager, let the team play for a few days and then sacked the manager when the team consistently performed poorly. It is important to bring the players of his choice to the club along with the appointment of a manager, but Manchester United is completely different in this regard. Manchester United is basically appointing a manager while keeping the same unchanged team and then sacking the manager. If the player of the manager's choice is not in the club, no manager can be completely blamed. I don't understand why Manchester United is not doing this, they need a big investor in the club and through that investor's investment, they need to appoint a good manager and give him financial freedom and freedom to buy players as he wishes so that the glory days of the club can return.

In my opinion, Manchester United could bring in a more experienced manager. Ole was a good player back in the day, but he hasn’t been able to replicate that level of performance as a manager. We even saw him in Turkey a head coch for Beşiktaş, which gives us some insight into his capabilities. To me, he isn’t the caliber of manager that a club like Manchester United requires. He might be a secondary or tertiary option, but there are certainly better choices available.
If it's true, then they would not be gambling on Carrick. There have been numerous high quality coaches were available, yet they still believe in Carrick. I think the reality is against your thesis. Since Ole Gunnar Solskjær left Manchester United he has not managed a team in any major league in Europe. He was successful in the Norwegian league, where he won the Tippeligaen (Norwegian League) and the Norwegian Football Cup. I don't know if he has gathered enough experience to manage a top-flight team in the EPL. His time with the Red Devils was remarkable in the beginning, but he didn't continue with his good performance. The Glazers should consider hiring a better coach like Antonio Conte.
It's a sense reason not to appoint him beside a myth appointing a former player would never work. However, i think his achievement in Noregian league should be considered as well. Do you think Ole deserves a second chance at Manchester United?
As an old rival fan who knows my team will benefit from the baby-faced assassin's inevitable failure, I'd say, sure, he deserves another shot, but I'm pretty sure most United fans would either prefer an experienced coach or just stick with Carrick for the remainder of the season [I think with enough support in the upcoming transfer window, he can do well]. Is not it too risky by still sticking on Carrick until the end of season? They won't play in UCL with this performance. They need to bounce back again. Signing a new coach won't guarantee a bounceback, but it can at least give them a new energy and creativity in tactic. The other day I came across an interview with Ferguson, in which he said he likes Carrick’s coaching ideas and supports him - it’s hard to argue with a figure like that I think Carrick should see out the season, we've already seen that the coaching carousel doesn't lead to anything good, neither Solskjaer nor any other specialist will perform miracles at United now. As for Solskjaer, I didn’t quite grasp the context of him both supporting Carrick and expressing a desire to work at United, perhaps he wasn’t referring to a coaching role? I also remembered back when Sir Alex also backed Ten Hag and Van Gaal when they're underpressure, yet they both ended getting sacked. I think Sir Alex's feedback could not be used as a measurement for MU to keep their coach. The way Sir Alex is thinking actually different with management. Beside that Ole has anti-climac story when he was at United before. He might be wanted to end it with his way, but i believe it's referring to the coaching place.

Julian Alvarez is not at the right club so his performances do not look promising despite working harder. He played at Atletico Madrid which is basically a club without sensation, therefore if from the beginning to play for Barcelona maybe the quality will be very prominent and more optimal.

So Barcelona is the right club for him? Barcelona fans and their board are just obsessed with this guy as if he is the only attacking player on the continent, and now I see more of the reason why atletico madrid is not interested in doing any deal with them concerning this player, because they are now going out of line, because they want him at their club by all means. He is not at the right club but he delivered more than 20 goals last season. If not for Barcelona that came with their problem and turned his head, his numbers would have been up there with the rest of other attacking players this season, so I support every decision taken by atletico madrid on this, since it's now a matter of lack of respect.

I have to agree here, Ferguson isn’t always right. But we can look at this from a gambling perspective - what is the probability that he made a mistake three times in a row? Still, his level of expertise remains very high, the only thing that could be against him is that everyone now thinks in short-term categories, and his thoughts about the medium and long-term perspective may never be in line with reality. Yesterday, United staged an impressive comeback, and everyone started talking about a turning point - I hope that’s exactly what it proves to be. However, Carrick needs to punish a couple of players for disrespect.

Michael Carrick is not getting sacked anytime soon. Manchester united are in one of their worst phase now but I think the board would give Carrick more time to prove himself.
Yeah, especially now that he was able to get a win against Roma, probably he'd get some time extension at the club. I just feel that Man UTD is a bit desperate to get into winning ways that's why they make mistakes in games. Just control the tempo and strike when your opponents least expect it but for Man UTD, they hurry to start the game, be on the offensive against a team that's not that big but then lose their bite the moment their opponents show teeth. Micheal Carrick just needs time and patience from the fans and management.

That exactly my point, a lot of Manchester United fans what Carrick sacked and they don’t want their club loosing football game. I saw how a lot of them were so happy about the win yesterday, but they want their manager sacked. I’m very sure that if they have lost yesterday Carrick would have been sacked already today. Well it really good to see Manchester United back to winning ways. That win totally Raise the atmosphere at old trafford yesterday. That second half performance is what Manchester United have been missing all season, they really played well, they showed character in that season half. Now they will be playing villa next in the league game, can they build on that momentum, we will only have to wait and see. For now Carrick job is safe, but for how long.

I agree with what your opinion sacking Michael Carrick is not the solution for Manchester United right now, in fact it would only complicate matters further. In my opinion having Michael Carrick as the coach is the right choice for Manchester United at this moment. What the team needs are players who align with his tactical approach on the pitch. I believe the management should look to sell Bruno Fernandes and a few others who are undermining the team from within. While Manchester United is currently struggling following a string of defeats, this slump is not the coach fault after all, they have already parted ways with several top managers, yet the team has still failed to return to its best form. The problem as I see it, lies with the players.

After how they miraculously came back and won Roma yesterday, the atmosphere at Old Trafford is filled with happiness and pressure calm, i don't think they'll want to ruin it with a sad new that would affect the players confidence in their next match so i believe they'll allow him keep his job and continue to monitor the situation. After what fans did yesterday before the suprise victory, if Manchester United had lots they would've shown Carrick the road out and some people at the board level won't be left out, the director of sport and technical director i mean.
