I'm kind of, well actually very strongly, skeptical about all these delegated proofs, especially staking one.
The first and the most fundamental reason BTC has succeeded is total lack of trust in any kind.
Delegation is, which eventually leads us to look for an oracle in case of chaos, exactly the opposite idea to that b/c you have to intrinsically trust the party you yield your proof toward.
There are uncountable # of "what if" in all these delegated-proofs, and just one incident will destroy the stored values in string like collapsing domino.
In case of that happen, just remember there is no FRB to drop dollar bunch on you.

NEM is the biggest
Wait Nem is also Dpos? Didn't know that No, NEM is PoI... Proof of Importance. Pretty different from dPoS. Each node has a chamce to harvest a block depending on how "important" they are. Your ‘Vested Balance’, who you send money with, how often you send money, and how much you send are all considered when figuring out how important you are. It is more similar to regular PoS than dPoS.

there is also bitshares In fact I remember watching a presentation on youtube about ARK saying that ARK is bringing in concepts of crypti, lisk and bitshares I'm kind of, well actually very strongly, skeptical about all these delegated proofs, especially staking one.

In defence of DPOS you should read why DPOS is actually an improvement over POW http://bytemaster.github.io/bitshares/2015/01/04/Delegated-Proof-of-Stake-vs-Proof-of-Work/

A coin with dPos is RISE. I think it is also a fork of lisk just as ark. It also has about the same wallet as ark.

Yes, DPOS is really good holding value, you just need to vote for delegate and can get the share (depends on the ratio the delegate going to share). However, there are not too many DPOS coins compare to POW and POS coins. Most of the DPOS coins (including ARK) are forked from LISK. Other than ARK, you still can find SHIFT, RISE, OXY and ONZ (still in ICO period, i'm team member). Good to buy some DPoS coins and hold them for long term return!
