In my opinion, it's still not too late. I think it will continue to rise in the next month.

Hard to say, currently, at $15.35 with $779 million market cap and moving upwards fast! Just look at the charts.

actually selling a couple of days ago was a great idea, because if we are talking about trading (which most of us are) the high price of 0.0108BTC was an excellent point to sell and wait out the dump because of the stopping of SegWit and then buy back at the bottom (0.0083BTC or anywhere up to 0.009BTC) because that would have meant a profit no matter what because of simple bounce back.

and then after buying back, you keep a look out and since SegWit starts again you cancel sell orders and place them higher.

if you ask me i say LTC will go to 0.03BTC very soon but in my opinion just buying and holding and hoping the price goes up is not a good idea in any altcoin. you need to have clear targets and take advantage of the profit waiting there for you to take it.

I think the pump will continue and I speculate it could double in a few weeks. Its $17 now. Yeah, those who have bought it cheap has already profited huge amount. Too bad dude you already sold yours.

maybe this is still a low price who know? i see that this hype can build the value up to $50-60 or higher and reach dash value, still very possible, because for now the value is only 2x before the pump started, in other words this si the beginning

Don't get carried away by over evaluating Litecoin's growth prospect. Litecoin was always fast, had low fees and there is no need for any form of scaling upgrade.
Adding SegWit is not mandatory, it is additional feature not necessary upgrade needed for Litecoin to evolve. Let say it now: Bitcoin needs SegWit. Litecoin would be fine without it.

The real reason for segwit for litecoin is the new features it will bring, not because of block size. That is why everyone is excited, well, at least us who are invested and paying attention.

what feeling? are you talking about the good feeling of making a successful trade? or the good feeling of making 12.5% profit over a very short period of time?
unless you have been gambling with the price and buying to make a bet and see if it goes up or not and then sell, i say you made a very good trade and made a good profit.

LTC will never be traders's major coin like BTC is at the moment. As a matter of fact, no coin will replace BTC. Bitcoin had at least 15M$ of daily volume after the Gox. And it is 200-500M$/24h lately. It is the main beast.

On the other hand, Litecoin had tiny 2-4M$/24h volume for the most of its lifespan till now and suddenly people found the meaning of life with LTC and drove it to 150m$/24h volume. When the hype is over, it will go back where it was before. If you haven't bought when it was 4$, don't buy now because you may be the last one whos buying before everyone starts selling.  

I would not be so sharp. After every pump on a major crypto-currencies (Monero, Ethereum, Dash, Litecoin, Ripple, and even Bitcoin). The price, fell, but it was still higher than the price before the pump. So buying before a pump will lead you to mathematically always do profit if you elect the good crypto-currency.

Well, litecoin might be high now but it is unlikely that it will ever rise that much in the long run.

Simply little superiority over any other altcoin, and the community is tiny compared to the bitcoin community.

For the rest of the world BTC is a product/service not a religion where it can only go up.
LTC is Faster, 4X Transaction capacity, & has a cheaper fee system.

LOL why as alternative you give LTC while ETH is much better 16s block quite cheap transactions, will have LN.
ETH have better volume over time. ETH have real transaction like 70k-100k.
I am almost full in BTC but if i should look alternative ETH is much better.

Today much more people chose ETH than LTC as alternative and man ETH is much more usefull than LTC.
LTC have 12miners government vs ETH Vitalik government i don't see much difference here in both systems "users" are the one who counts. Okay ETH with ETC has given users chose that LTC doesn't give.

To be honest if I would invest then ETH is 10x better bet on future projects.
LTC have nice boost of segwit but NO ONE use LTC and in jam people use ETH more than LTC.

ETH is completely different philosophy and roadmap.
ETH is a smart contract system wich allow to use blockchain everywhere it possible.


Smart contract is a programed code  which are "living" inside the blockchain and everyone can call it for some price in Ether.

What we need it for?

Are you know that Bitcoin has also smart contract system build in, but it is based on Scrypt programing language and not Turing full wich not allow to make good code for coder. Bitcoin smartcontracts is limited.

Thats why Ethereum uses Turing full programing language. BUT! It allows you to make code something like this:

What does that mean?

It means that this contract will be CYCLED forever long! And will burn all GAS as long as it CYCLED.  Thats why in Ethereum GAS or Ehter cost some price. Not to avoid this cycles in smart contract to long forever. This GAS or Ether can be bought on cryptoexchange, but it is not cryptocurency. It have completely another purposes.


ETH is bad as cryptocurency.And it is obviously not cryptocurency at all. Ethereum is universal blokchain. It is good to avoid a lot of blockchain creation. (For example instead of making another code for National Library blockchain we can use Ethereum and so on if you are a transport company which every week deliver new magazines to National Library and you want to make blockchain for your scheduled delivery you do not need to create copletely new, because you have Ethtreum allready. Also this one blockchain created between transport company and National Library can be used for another company which are conected with them and so on and on...It is cheaper and easier for mostly all companies)

Ethereum is different from Litecoin and Bitcoin philosophy and use.

Litecoin purpose is clear as sky. $LTC is decentralized cryptocurency. It is new form of money. Ethereum is new form of relationship between everything and everyone. Both are worth!


With Segwit Litecoin becomes one of the best available on market cryptocurency. Runing far far away from Bitcoin and others from technical side and perspectives that it gives in future.

Litecoin popping straight up with no end in sight. Shame I didn't get in during 2015 when price was real low... Just shows how important Segwit is and what kind of impact it can have if put into use on other blockchains. I'm rummaging around for the last of my Litecoin to sell a little bit, if the price remains steady at ~16 I'd be very surprised.

The LTC has some good features (some time around, quick confirmations and good algo) and it deserved to have a better price. Probably someone would not get it for long time as saving with btc,  but it is one of best altcoins. If segwit succeeds the price will skyrocket.
