I think we could start thinking about closing new registrations for the airdrops at the end of January. There has been enough time, and whoever comes in after that, will be those wanting easy profit with our dear coin.
We have to recognize those who supported the currency from the beginning.
Does anyone agree or think this would be bad?
What do you think is the airdrop for? It exists so that as many people as possible learn about Bitcore. Not for your profit. Do not be so greedy.

I learned at the project-meeting that one of the reasons for the airdrop is education about wallets (that they exists, how to use and why they are important) because you have to move your coins to one if you wanne join the airdrop. Some say about 75% of all coin never leave a exchange and that is far away from safe ... if you check the crypto history.

And for that we need to spread the Airdropinfo as far and as long as we can.

What???

You completely missed the point of the airdrop buddy!
It's a distribution tool to get the coins in many hands as possible as fast as possible. The distribution wasn't made to make you rich buddy!

Disagree!
If you are an early BTX adopter like I am you bought your first Bitcore between $1.50 and $8, that's what will make you rich, not the airdrop!

BTW, even if you bought at $35, you still going to make lots of money.

Right now the price of BTX is supported by the weekly airdrop. What will future hold after airdrop ended?

Frankly, that's what bothers me too a little. There seems to be a certain amount of buzz around airdrops, and that's good if you ask me, but what's next? I'm perfectly fine with SegWit and all other improvements that the devs have activated but what is really new in Bitcore? What are its killer features already implemented or still in the works if I may ask?

Don't get me wrong I'm all interested in Bitcore's success since otherwise I wouldn't be here, but what's the point actually?

Obviously, you endorse Bitcore since you are part of the signature campaign... but you're telling us that you haven't made your homework before investing?

Many good posts here about why Bitcore is superior... I suggest you start here.

I bought most of mine between $20 and $24 after getting some from the 1/2 for 1 airdrop. I feel I made a wise decision and the coin will continue to appreciate. And I also agree trying to shut down the airdrop faster so less people can get richer is not the point or the spirit of the airdrop. Greed is not a good character trait. Let as many people participate and benefit as possible from the airdrops and help spread the word that BTX is a great coin to invest in. That will make you much richer than a few extra airdropped coins.

Someone else noticing a slow updating wallet. Fired it up after a week and the wallet took like forever to synchronize the chain. Normally this is done in a matter of seconds... up to a minute. Never took that long before.

Not for me. I had my boot partition corrupted on windows and a few other issues after that. Fresh installed my OS and used my Bitcore wallet backup and it synced in no time at all.

Can't say I have noticed any slow down with the wallet, even before I synced the entire blockchain to restore. Maybe someone else has an idea about what your issue could be.

Not going to happen mate.

If something is not done, I think the airdrop will end before the end of March.  Undecided
And it will be great, let the coins intended for the airdrop spread more quickly. This will allow BTX to go further, to go to new larger exchanges. I doubt that any large exchange such as Bitrex or Binance will take BTX for listing with so many coins being held by the developers.

Smiley yes! It's good, when the Airdrop will end earlier. Also it's better for distribution in the wide. And like someone said: for education.

Also if you will close Airdrop for new people, this wouldn't be good for the coin.

The volume of trading on Cryptopia and Bit-Z is now incredible.
that is very correct. the volume of BTX exchanges to BTC in Bit-Z has reached $ 1.7 million for today. this may be due to BTX price in Bit-Z slightly more expensive than other exchanges.

Not many people know BTX, still it made it to the top 100. Congrats Smiley.

Hope the few coming airdrops will still increase awareness, perhaps it would make sense to make a small publicity campaign again for the remaining coins in the pot. Not just distribute them as of now, but make a final one time drop to new people and end the campaign with that and a bang Smiley

My friends, I do not like greedy people or even hasty conclusions.
My suggestion here is in favor of justice and not of gain.
But if everyone thinks that's not a good idea, then I'll shut up.
I hope it's the right choice!

It is pretty simple and straight forward. More people know the coin, more people trade the coin, and potentially the price may go up. So more so better.

Absolutly correct. BTX in the top 100 position will focus the interest from other people in this coin.
There will surly be a static gain in interest and when other investors imagine that our devs not only promise but therefore deliver BTX can reach top 30.

Just follow this steps:

It will show you the priv key so you can copy paste it.

under "ADDRESS" - You must enter yout BTX address

If your wallet is locked before this steps you will need to unlock it :

In console you must enter command:
