Looks like just a single buy,
of round about 200K BTX with round about 100K USDT on Cryptopia.
They have "Problems" with the Wallet, since over a week, jaajaaa. :-)
Have a good time(travel)
alu

There was not enough coins yesterday to purchase in asks for such order in usdt pair, also as bids. But in trade history there is ten 10-20k sell orders for total 100k usdt copleted. Seems shady.

Yes, it looks very shady.
I will bet my ass,
in the end of this week,
the wallet is useable again,
from a holy wonder.
Or so.:-)
"Frozen" Coins to "Pump" Cap up,
it looks for me.
Look for the Btc/Btx.
All the little ones, trade again.
In hope for there big money :.-)
Week before, it looks like death.
I dont understand these
and i think, i would not understand it :-)

@uralcryptocoin
You get the point, let us chill and take a wile.
Have to do other, than hope for better times.
They will come, so or so.
Without a waiting for it, is a better view for me. :-)

Greetings
alu

Unfortunately it seems so. Other exchanges didn't support that BTX price movement. In few days the situation will become clear.

Yes, I transferred btx from my wallet to hitbtc exchange and nothing really happened there. I hoped that price would follow but nothing. I didnt want to deposit my funds to cryptopia because their shady "problems" with withdrawals during the airdrop.

...IF it is not all just a setup built upon the freezing of the Cryptopia wallet. Only time (and unfreezing) will tell.

Probably this periodical situation dumps BTX price.
The only solution is move your BTX (other coins too) from these exchanges to local wallet as soon as possible

BTC   Bitcoin: A Peer-to-Peer Electronic Cash System   BTC
A purely peer-to-peer version of electronic cash would allow online payments to be sent directly from one party to another without going through a financial institution. Digital signatures provide part of the solution, but the main benefits are lost if a trusted third party is still required to prevent double-spending. We propose a solution to the double-spending problem using a peer-to-peer network. The network timestamps transactions by hashing them into an ongoing chain of hash-based proof-of-work, forming a record that cannot be changed without redoing the proof-of-work. The longest chain not only serves as proof of the sequence of events witnessed, but proof that it came from the largest pool of CPU power. As long as a majority of CPU power is controlled by nodes that are not cooperating to attack the network, they'll generate the longest chain and outpace attackers. The network itself requires minimal structure. Messages are broadcast on a best effort basis, and nodes can leave and rejoin the network at will, accepting the longest proof-of-work chain as proof of what happened while they were gone.

@Vlad :-)
Thank you, its just my relaxing view,
see so much shit in cryptoworld, this little storry is not much enough, to make me panic :-)

@frogpoet
i get a discussion with the service peoples from cryptopia,
longer before i wrote my few here.
First one,
lought me out, about my "stupid" question.
I remeber him, we all pay for the service he/they give us.
Second one,
did not lought, he wrote a answer like a panic man. :-)
I can not get the message from him, to show it, very big sorry.
Have to much screenshots from crazy thinks :-)
I did forget, to make new ones. :-)
But he wrote a complete side of words,
to tell me what is behind the problem. :-)
I just did tell him my point and ask him,
how i should use a exchange with bigger money than a few dollars?
with this ultra fast support of there coins.^^
Problem is exchage,
like often in cryptoworld.
Centralize exchange, work not good with decentralice produkts. :-)
Croptopia should work for me,
one times more, if it does not,
we can read us about it, on steemit or so. ;-)
In the end, if our coins are on our wallet, all should be good.
Never trust exchanges, can not be say enought,
for all the new crypto-user behind us.
15000 of it, for 3000 coins talks for itself :-)
Building hardware and have exchanges,
makes better money than use the produkt.
Old problem, on a new playground.

But i am a Nobody and i would read about those thinks,
from the Bitcore Team.
New Pictures with News looks good.
Trancparency overview of working with those problems,
should work better. ;-)

Not just from us Hype Users. ;-)

Pump buy is over,
new or old wale born/upgradet
and it should get you all a better view,
how much other see in this Coin.
For me i like him again.
Greetings

My own Bitcore wallet runs without problems and the last big update was some time ago. Maybe the exchanges didn't participate in the last update and they only update now. I don't know another reason either.  Smiley

It's really curious. My local wallet also works like a charm. I can send fast transactions between different local wallets.
Cryptopia wallet has been updated about two month ago. I tried test transaction in early October with no issue and it was to the new format wallet address

with regards to what the person from cryptopia told you, don't let it worry you. in my opinion there is NO such thing as a "stupid question."

when you were conversing with them, were you discussing the problem that others have put on here about withdrawing funds? or were you discussing the unusual 100,000 dollar trade with five subsequent 20,000 dollar fills, which served to triple the volume for BTX on that one day?

if it was about the trade, those things can be tracked with the right tools to figure out if something is truly shady or not. Forensic investigators do that when tracking down people engaging in ransomware who use crypto as the payment method - one such tool is Maltego. to see how an investigator would use this, go here : https://www.ethicalhacker.net/eh-net-tv/eh-net-live/video-blockchain-hacking-for-investigating-cryptocurrencies/ and then go 53 minutes into the video. (actually you have to be a member of ethicalHacker but it is free to join). there are other videos on YouTube, but I like this one because I trust the person giving the video.

there are other ways, too.  after reading your post I went to the cryptopia site and realized they had two APIs - one publicly accessible and the other one 'private' where they assign you a token to call the APIs.  (public API docs : https://support.cryptopia.co.nz/csm?id=kb_article&sys_id=40e9c310dbf9130084ed147a3a9619eb ; private API docs : https://support.cryptopia.co.nz/csm?id=kb_article&sys_id=a75703dcdbb9130084ed147a3a9619bc ).  This means that even if you didn't want to use Maltego, which is proprietary software, you could write your own utility using those API calls. It would be restricted to tracking down trades on cryptopia of course, but you could eventually track them down.

i'm not convinced, by the way, that it was necessarily something shady. It could have just been partial orders fulfilling a larger order - sometimes people specifically buy and sell in round increments (like increments of 100) because it is easier to break orders into partial orders and fill larger trades that way, at least on the stock market. I assume something similar would apply to coin exchanges.

Seems like all exchanges have btx wallets in maintenance. I wasn’t aware of any code updates.

Anybody know what’s going on?

im wondering if this is related to the bitcoin cash split from November 15th, i.e. BCH-ABC versus BCH-SV. whoever "wins" that hard fork will get the BCH ticker, and last I checked it looks like BCH-ABC was going to get it. However, because of all the turmoil, lots of exchanges halted bitcoin cash trades until the dust settled.

you would think that bitcoin cash stuff would not affect BTX stuff (at least I would); however there is some confusion between the bitcore currency that this thread is about (i.e. BTX) and a bitcoin-generic library also unhappily called "bitcore."  I saw this confusion just the other day - go here : https://coin.dance/nodes .  ever since the fork, there have been lots of press articles about the fork, and many of them have been referring to coin.dance as a way of looking at live statistics to determine who is winning the "war" between the two flavors of BCH.  anyways, note that the page above mentions a bunch of types of bitcoin nodes. the one with the second highest value is labeled "Bitcore".  "is that us?" I thought. but when I clicked on the node, the description was of the library, not of BTX - and the link to the homepage links to the library's home page, not the BTX homepage. It's not clear to me yet if this is a mistake on their part and it SHOULD link to BTX's home page (in which case I would tell them about it), or if it is supposed to be the library. some of the other node types appear to be their own coins (such as bitcoin unlimited) which would resemble BTX's situation; while other node types such as BitcoinJ are libraries, which would resemble the 'bitcore library' situation. (you have to scroll down towards the bottom of the page to see BitcoinJ listed).

maybe people from the exchanges are halting BTX thinking that it represents something to do with the 'bitcore library' used by bitcoin ? or perhaps they are temporarily halting all forks of bitcoin; though i would think that news stories would have proclaimed this already as a policy of some sort. If anyone out there is holding coins from bitcoin forks other than the BCH ones and BTX, do you have any problems transferring from an exchange to a private wallet ?

Yeah, Hitbtc does not allow to withdraw my Bitcores too. The ordered withdraw transaction is marked with a red X and nothing happens.  Huh
And Doges being paid there with no problem, very well and quickly.

i just want to say something for me very interesting: this thread, have more replies than bch's thread. In my hopinion this is great.

This is an interesting remark, which is suggesting that coins can exist with a huge value even though they don't have a real community behind. So the value of BCH is possibly NOT the consequence of the existence of a committed community, but just of a committed set of big speculators. Just as an idea...

A large team of devs, tons of free press, large backers, over 1,000 patents and listed on every exchange might also be factors worth considering, eh?
