I can understand all the bids; however, how are we to know if the people bidding are even able to afford them?
Meaning... I don't want to big out people that might not even have the coin to afford them. I don't want to be outbidding myself.
Also, is proof needed to show hat I have the coins available.
There were fears of this in the last thread. This has not become a problem thus far. John mentioned in the last thread that he may require a deposit from people bidding from very new accounts. All that said; when are these units to ship? Any other information as to when payment is to be made vs ship dates, etc?
You can peruse the previous thread and watch the deliveries unfold. The first of them arrived within 4 days of the auction closing, and I believe they all arrived within a week. The delivery time on these is about as fast as it could possibly be, as every day matters for their value. I'm asking friedcat to see how would he deal and prevent joybidders now. Yes, the units are ready to ship as in the last blade auction. You'll get them around a week - fastest ASIC shipping ever!

PS: Just noticed a slight problem here. If someone bids at 5@10 for example, and bidded 1@11 later, that would mess up the auction a lot. Hm...

My view of the situation is (using myself for example, since it's perfect timing ) - I have 2 active bids - 2@30 and 7@24. The 7@24 gets knocked down and becomes 5@24 (due to there only being 5 available... and I didn't state that I wanted to have 9 total being bid on). I didn't see anything in the "Auction Rules"... but on my spreadsheet, I wait till the bottom bid is 100% gone before I remove it.

I'll update the list now. John, I hope this amount of effort is worth it for you. If you are putting in a 48 hour thread-a-thon, we're going to have to take up a collection for you to take a vacation to Tuvalu. Seriously, there are free websites and open source auction software that can handle this.

As in 1st auction there is statement: - When you post a bid, the bids in your previous posts are considered to be automatically canceled. You can put multiple bids in one post, however

FAQ 2: 1. How much is shipping to Australia (or x country)? Shipping is FREE!2. Is these boards the newer revision used by the farm now, or older versions? They are newer revision, including the firmware.I'll update the list now. John, I hope this amount of effort is worth it for you. If you are putting in a 48 hour thread-a-thon, we're going to have to take up a collection for you to take a vacation to Tuvalu. Seriously, there are free websites and open source auction software that can handle this. Just to be clear and transparent, I get some compensation from friedcat, and from the fact that I love ASICMiner and want it to be a resounding success (and BTC in general). I guess I'll update each hour then. Is there any sites/software you can point out to me? PS: Just noticed a slight problem here. If someone bids at 5@10 for example, and bidded 1@11 later, that would mess up the auction a lot. Hm...
