I find it suspicious, that every person (almost) who has received a unit then creates a YouTube video..
I think they are shipping out only to reviewers to suck more people in to buy their devices.

So you mean kind of like a ponzi scheme?

Exactly. Except absolutely NOTHING like a ponzi scheme. But other than that, sure...

It amazes me how many haters there are on this forum, who cannot be bothered to pick up a dictionary.

If you want to know what a ponzi scheme is, think about how social security works.

I agree with the definition issue.

But BFL is a failure lol. 10 months? 6 months late?

Just because they delivered does not mean they did not cost their customers opportunity in the process of their incompetent "development" process.

Here, have a tinfoil hat.
Ah, no tinfoil hat necessary. It's been mention before on BFL forums that they shipped to reviewers, magazines, developers and hardcore supporters. Everyone else was left out in the cold.... (as far as I know)

If it doesn't benefit BFL in more sales you won't see a unit shipped there.

Well so far...lol

Preorder 10 months ago and the first people to get units are people to give BFL good PR. Fuck the customers right?

smoothie, how many customers need a working product before you'll admit BFL has a working prototype? Just curious.

The orange ignore button beneath his name suggests to me that the answer may not be finite.

As an aside, ignoring users with large red signatures appears to be an excellent policy.

Hey that's interesting. Is the darker the background color on the ignore button, the more people have ignored someone? Never noticed that.

Neat!  Do you have a kill-a-watt or some other way to measure the wattage draw?
No, I really should have one and where I live I am not sure where to get one quickly.  Sorry I know a lot of people are asking how much power is it taking and I really should double check that.

Whist you are at it, can you let us know how much CPU and RAM the running process on your computer takes up, so we can gauge the minimum PC hardware required to run the unit?

I totally agree with you. I think this guy is the first one to measure the temperature with an IR meter too.
I think they are shipping out only to reviewers to suck more people in to buy their devices. I bet there are many who don`t even know that its useless to buy anything from BFL now.

It seems suspicious to me.

Highly suspicious indeed...  The only non-BFL videos of BFL devices we see are made by people who take videos of the BFL devices they've received...  It must be a conspiracy!

We demand to see videos of BFL devices from people who are really pissed off with BFL and cancelled their orders.. oh no, wait...

I know.... we demand to see videos of BFL devices from people who are really pissed off with BFL but who didn't cancel their orders who won't post a video because they don't want to promote BFL.  Yes, that's the one...  er...  Roll Eyes

So we could wait for someone who ordered a mini rig.

He will probably be pissed enough to be still pissed, even if the device arrives Cheesy

I would not doubt it.

I am wondering how gigavps ended up with a Jalapeno considering I don't think he ever ordered one.  It must be a placeholder for the 4 mini-rigs that may never come.

Think about it. Let us say the Single works... and they deliver 30 singles Cheesy:D:D:D:D

I know of a mining service that ordered three mini rigs. Now thinking about setting up 90 Singles, that sounds like a pain in the ass Cheesy

For the record, I ordered 2 minirigs and would have no problem receiving 50 of the 60 GH/s singles or 60 of the 50 GH/s singles in lieu of them.
Quite to the contrary, this would make it easier for me to plug the devices into different power lines and strategically put them underneath separate A/C vents.

Your only option right now would be 600 of the 5 GH/s units. I'd like to see that. Smiley

Where you would probably have trouble is the USB wiring, and I am not sure how many simultaneous BFL devices an instance of cgminer can handle. It would be worth finding out.

Limited only by the operating system. It may not be able to display them all on the screen, but it will work with them, and you're better off using separate monitoring tools that talk to the cgminer API if you have that many devices anyway.
