This is definitely an interesting idea.

There is also another project which has been around for a while called VPNCoin; I've kept meaning to look into that one more but never got around to it. Can you tell me anything about how Mysterium compares to VPNCoin?

VPNCoin is more like a wallet service based on their coin, and Mysterium is creating a Decentralized VPN node network.

Great idea but let's see if the team can really deliver this decentralized VPN node network.
