I apologize to anyone who feels offended by the current price of BIS, but please do not poison this thread with bile resulting from shocks caused by halvings in the Bitcoin cycles. Bismuth does not have halving cycles, it was particularly designed to avoid this issue. Unfortunately, we live in a world where "all crypto depends on bitcoin because bitcoin is bitcoin, no questions allowed". Bismuth has not been designed to be pegged to USD value or to BTC value. It was designed as an independent project that other people decided to judge according to BTC market cycles. I have seen this gloom in the NXT forum 3 years ago. It's the same song over and over again. Do not invest more than you can afford to lose and if you do, don't go on forums projecting your feelings into something that has nothing to do with irresponsible decisions. I actually do not believe that anyone does that, therefore I evaluate every such post as an indirect attempt to damage the project. You can pm me and explain your situation if you want me to change my attitude. Thank you

Also, as you can see: We are getting integrated in one of the most popular wallets, adding support for standard cryptographic schemes, extending our reach to Asia, restructuring code, restructuring team and we have been doing some of this stuff for over 4 years (that's why we're doing other stuff now too). I do not see any of these points being discussed, just endless whining from some members due to inability to bear their own decisions, which really is a sad display - something we see today, something we will see after the next boom and bust cycle not here, but everywhere across all projects.

nobody is whining about their own state (i for one am juuuuuust fine lol), i just dont like to see good coin/projects (esp once i am invested in) go to shit. and yes we all know you cannot determine price, nor have any power over the master btc swings of bull/bear market. we all knwo alts move to p&d cycles too, it's just frustrating to even fathom the idea bis dying out during the bear market and not living for a bull one. at least with this post you have above, it gives us some much needed insight to ACTUAL results coming down the pipe! in addition to some positive outlook. hopefully the alt-gods are listening lol.... let's see bis climb the ladder again

There just seem to be some really mean posters. I don't think BIS is doing too bad currently (everything tanks vs BTC). And we have some projects started that should further improve the situation.

The Bismuth Bounties is a good way to strengthen the Bismuth ecosystem while users will benefit from its utilities. BISMUTH Bounties: First rewarded project
As announced previously, the Bismuth Foundation is moving forward with a revised and improved bounty schedule- primarily targeted towards projects that offer utility to the BIS ecosystem, as well as overall marketing campaign efforts. We very soon will be bringing forth our first iteration of bounties targeting the Bismuth utility category.
Utility is a vastly important proponent that most crypto-projects fail to address. It is an essential element that adds true value to platforms in the industry- as most solely exist for speculative purposes, and offer nothing beyond that. The Bismuth Foundation envisions a utilitarian future for the BIS platform, but for any healthy decentralized ecosystem, the contributions to achieve that vision must be diverse, and not come solely from a single entity. This is where the first iteration of bounties come in- to kick-start the initiative by offering a monetary incentive. As with all good incentives, this should attract the intellectual capital of developers in this industry to begin work on utility projects that add value to the Bismuth platform.
There are a host of services that already offer varying degrees of utility for Bismuth, ranging from simple block explorers to complex gaming dApps. One of the more notable services is the “Pawer” bot on Discord, that bridges all Bismuth-based interactions with the Discord UI.
The “Pawer” bot was created by iyomisc, who is not part of the Bismuth Foundation and created the bot on his own initiative. This utilitarian service puts Bismuth at the fingertips of new users that don’t wish to download the wallet- all it takes is two Discord commands to generate a new Bismuth wallet. This quick and easy process allows virtually anyone to store Bismuth and interact with existing dApps on the Bismuth platform- such as games like Dragginator and Autogame. The bot also enables tipping- an essential part of any established crypto-platform. Users can seamlessly give each other BIS through simple commands in the Discord chat channels. The bot is also open source, which enables other developers to use the code as a reference for their own Bismuth-based projects.
This project is the typical example of what the team hopes to favor with bounties: modular, open source code that targets the end user, by removing friction points and ease on boarding of new Bismuth users and dApps developers.
A bounty of 5,000 BIS will be issued to iyomisc for his work on integrating Bismuth with Discord. The “Pawer” bot will hopefully just be one of the countless utilitarian features on the Bismuth platform. It bridges Bismuth and Discord, and in the future, we hopefully will have projects that bridge Bismuth with established real-world businesses, start-ups, and individual projects. Bismuth is a platform that enables feature development in Python, and so the potential growth is boundless and the audience limitless.

Thanks to a cooperation with ChainZilla, Bismuth now gets a brand new iOS and Android wallet.
This wallet makes use of the new addresses schemes and makes it painless to send and receive $BIS from your mobile phone.
Read more on: https://hypernodes.bismuth.live/?p=715
Wallet download for iOS and Android: https://www.chainzilla.io/chameleonpay.html Best regards, Bismuth Foundation.

I left holding Bismuth in 2017. Remember the time when difficulty would drop to close to zero and some GPU miner would come over everyday, mine for 10 minute and go. I was there when that happened. I sold mine 2 years ago and that's that. I didn't came here to express my frustration but point out a simple thing; Your damn roadmap page gives 404 and you gave me a negative feedback for that. Yeah it's awesome that you and the other guys wrote the codebase from scratch, yeah it's awesome that you built a community around it but regardless how many wallets you integrate or roll out masternodes under a different name, it won't help you to revive the project. Seems like you are the one who is frustrated.

That is some heavy rain . Love how the pawer discord bot could help spread BIS and strengthen the community.
@dev could you tell some sneak peek about further bounty programs apart from the first one? Just some little bit of suggestion from me, how about to consider the LBRY contribution/bounty system/program ( https://lbry.tech/contribute & https://lbry.com/faq/appreciation) ? Mostly they only focused on the technical bounty. but any kind of contribution might be beneficial to the ecosystem of BIS.
