Is Ethereum a threat to BTC???

I heard that the ethereum is much better than the BTC that in fact is the same as BTC but improved and that is the reason why it is rising a lot of price.

Is the Ethereum really better than the BTC? Do you believe that the Ethereum will reach the prices of BTC and even more that will surpasses  the price of BTC, or that even will replace BTC?

What are your thoughts and predictions for Ethereum ??

You shouldn't see it as a threat from the price perspective because It means nothing, you should however see how much Its mentioned on the news, how many shops (local and online) use it, how many ATMs does it have, how active the development is etc. Bitcoin wins in all these things beside Ethereum is not meant to be an electronic cash but bitcoin is.

ETH, as any altcoin should be, aims to do things that BTC can't do. It proposes to use smart contracts to handle electronic transactions in ethereum blockchain better. It also has the EVM (Ethereum Virtual Machine) that gives it the ability to understand and process programs natively in its blockchain. So, isn't a question if ETH is better or worse than BTC. It is supposed to different things.

Even though Bitcoin has high fees but long price rallies is something which makes the people to attach with it. However, Ethereum has started pumping now so I don't see any barrier that ether will soon outstand btc.

One thing I have thinking is that those buying Ethereum now too fed up with the high transaction fees being incurred with bitcoin and the scaling debate has not been settled. So they are pumping Ethereum and waiting for the bitcoin drama to be resolved. But I guess they will go back to bitcoin once everything looks good. So I don't think its a threat, rather another option for investors to put their cashflow in the crypto world.

I.don't know what that exactly means that Ethereum is much better then Bitcoin? At the moment Bitcoin is the strongest and the most accepted cryptocurrency. Of course there are issues, nothing is perfect, but to my opinion at the moment Bitcoin doesn't have some serious competition. Ethereum is totaly different story and its not the threath to Bitcoin.

Both of these cryptos help our world better and develop a good blockchain system so that other people can know about the existence of cryptocurrency on this planet. I think not, because it's a niche. A public support for crypto will be in favour of Bitcoin. Bitcoin has a greater acceptance, due to the public discussion and publications. Only insiders are considering Ethereum, new entrants will choose Bitcoin. New entrants will let the Bitcoin grow.

Until there's a good e-currency which is also stable as a store of value, Bitcoin will remain a dominant cryptocurrency.  It's irrelevant even if Ether had a higher market cap. 

Ethereum is not even supposed to be a cryptocurrency, it's a platform for wider blockchain applications and is separate to Bitcoin entirely.

I don't think ethereum coin as a thread. of course yes its price is increasing so rapidly and for that reason people are adopting the coin so frequently. it might be true that ethereum coin is better than bitcoin (at least from the transaction fees side ) but if that is the best option then why bitcoin is at the highest scale. That clearly states that nobody can beat bitcoin now with such a huge price and in addition to that altcoins are always volatile anyone can losse their money with altcoins

I do not think Ethereum had ever been a threat to Bitcoin.  As people say, they are two different things, one is token and aimed for smartcontracts and the other one is a coin aimed to be a payment method. Though, I think  Bitcoin is a threat to ethereum since bitcoin developer would be releasing Bitcoin smartcontract this coming June.  This breakthrough will nullify the only advantage of Ethereum to Bitcoin.

Exactly. It's not electronic cash. It's not decentralized. Why the hell would I ever need any of that garbage? Oh it went up in price? So did thousands of stocks. I'd rather support them.

Ethereum is not a threat to bitcoin ,as bitcoin is more secure and decentralized ,but Ethereum is a pre mined coin and the scalability is still a big question as well as the security.If you are talking about the price then you still cannot compare with the giant price of bitcoin.So no coin is in existence to threat bitcoin.

although it is good to trade ethereum but still i also do not think that it is thread to bitcoin. to me i believe that bitcoin price will continue increase and there is no threat to bitcoin neither from ethereum nor from any other altcoin.

There is many information on the forum about difference of all crypto currencies such as Etherum and Bitcoin. The first difference in Etherum used a bit different technology and the number of coins is much higher. I think exactly this factor will not allow Etherum to reach the price of Bitcoin. But I think it's pretty possible to Etherum take the leading position one day.

No, due Ethereum being turing complete, it is a great way to end up in disaster long term, so we are never going to see ETH be a threat to BTC as a store of value. BTC's simplicity is a strong point to be the best store of value in crypto. The fact that it's so hard to change, it's also a good point to prevail as the strongest coin to store wealth.

I could not see the good development in ethereum the same as bitcoin.. since bitcoin is already success and nearly more new field of success will be happen in bitcoin.. ethereum is too far to reach bitcoin since ethereum is just alternative and bitcoin is the main and many company are already accepting bitcoin as payment unlike ethereum that are use only for trading purposes.
