Is Ethereum a threat to BTC???

I heard that the ethereum is much better than the BTC that in fact is the same as BTC but improved and that is the reason why it is rising a lot of price.

Is the Ethereum really better than the BTC? Do you believe that the Ethereum will reach the prices of BTC and even more that will surpasses  the price of BTC, or that even will replace BTC?

What are your thoughts and predictions for Ethereum ??

Yeah it is the eth price in the market is more applicable than bitcoin when it comes in investment the ethereum average price in the market make it the best for every investment for everybody i guess eth today is more profitable than investing in bitcoin its self.

I agree with you. But it needs consideration that eth will match btc, many predict that btc fore will increase sharply. But it is not possible eth can not beat btc. How many years ahead, we see and wait for who will soar because this is very difficult to predict.

I think the main issue that could make eth btc beat is a faster transaction, until now there has been no complaints and reports about eth transactions, but currently more than 300k reports say bitcoin transactions have not been confirmed.

Isn't the upcoming soft fork (SegWit2x) going to fix this issue to a certain extent?

I do not think so, ethereum is now strong, but if the opponent is a bitcoin, it's still too far for ethereum. Look at the strength of bitcoin now, bitcoin is the strongest coin now and we can not deny it. But I think for prediction it could be for the ethereum to outrun it, but not in the near future.

I think it's not, because ETH is doing fine themselves. Besides, every move of eth will take has points of failure and will be put in worst possible position.

I think its not,Because bitcoin is the biggeat cryptocurrency in the world.As of now bitcoin is used by many people in the world.And these etherium is not that very popular when it terms im cryptocurrency.So thats why I dont see any reason of bitcoin to be threatened

No, Ethereum is not a threat for Bitcoin. In fact Ethereum makes Bitcoin stronger. We need a bigger crypto-currency business world. With Ethereum there are a lot of new project coming. This domino effect make Bitcoin and whole crypto-currency world bigger, better and stronger. There's no competition but mutual benefition here.

Also i think value of ethereum is based on the value of bitcoin every times value of bitcoin increasing then value of ethereum decreasing. No other coin in crypto currency could replace bitcoin on the top bitcoin dominates all the time.

bitcoin already have it's label as it is mostly used in making transactions and gained already the trust by its user but we were still looking for some alternatives to do more task and to know if there can be more who can do other task better. As ICO now were ising ETH mostly in investment purposes. They were both important in different uses.

Of course its a threat but until ETH scaling problimes are solved , that not too imprortant.
ETH has too many project being developed , that are one the biggest in the industry now , if they succed in doing what they promiced that will require great hashing powers to handle all the tokens and icos and everything else.
Plus I mean every month i hear about new ETH attack - it the matter of time we gonna see something huge happen and that just gonna ruin it for eth.

BTC, the oldest cryptocurrency, is gaining lots of attention, trust and adoption. It is like digital gold and serves well in settlement. ETH is designed for smart contract, and has huge potential and applications. It is very possible that ETH will lead BTC in market cap someday.

No, smart contracts are great and all of that but in my opinion if the purpose is to be a currency then keep it simple do not add another layer of complexity that many people are never going to use so in this case the additional features of ETH are shackles that slow it down so bitcoin is not going to be surpassed by ETH as a currency.

Maybe yes, maybe no. BTC is on top yet ETH is going second. If, IF the price of ETH will rise and BTC price will fall, theres a possibility that ETH will replace BTC in cryptocurrency investing. Yet we dont know when or will it happen because BTC and ETH are flexible at the same time, so theres a possibility that ETH will remain second as well as the BTC will remain on top.

I.don't know what that exactly means that Ethereum is much better then Bitcoin? At the moment Bitcoin is the strongest and the most accepted cryptocurrency. Of course there are issues, nothing is perfect, but to my opinion at the moment Bitcoin doesn't have some serious competition. Ethereum is totaly different story and its not the threath to Bitcoin.

As they both  have different platform so  I don't think that Eth is a threat to bitcoin. But as Eth price is increasing so it is possible to reach the BTC value and even cross it. But is platinum a threat to gold? And the BTC is like gold .

I agree with you, Ethereum owns a lot of altcoin from ICO projects. If the Ethereum platform is of high quality and potential, then surely Ethereum will overtake Bitcoin and become the top cryptocurrency.
