Ethereum the end of this development is very good, I think opportunities in the future will continue to grow, but I think it will not have a big effect on btc, we all know that btc is the most popular in the world of crypto

Ethereum has possibilities to grow dynamically focusing its new technology behind it which gives smart tokens allocation services as well as scaled transactions, but a threat? My desperate answer would be a No, because Ethereum or any other coin could not dominate Bitcoins because bitcoin has already set up its base before all of them even came into existence, so I don't think any could replace Bitcoins or possess a threat to Bitcoins in any way.

Agree. Even some speculated on btc split that will worsen btc after it just made btc pump same with ETH , eth may get popularity in many ICO yet it can't still replace btc in terms of value and uses.

It is, although they operate with different goals in mind, but it sure is a "threat" if that means it will grow to be bigger than bitcoin.

Ethereum is very different from Bitcoin I would call it a threat because right now bitcoin is king of crypto and if that changes it will hurt bitcoin a lot.

I think the main reason for ethereum surging is alot of people missed out on the bitcoin boat and see this as the next big coin to profit from. It's powered by greed and the fear of missing out however it has a long way to go before it can prove to overtake bitcoin.

No, i think they have different purpose, btc will carry value due to rarity and etherum will gain the value with ability, performance etc.

I in general see the future only behind ETH, simply I do not understand what for to me BTC except for as commerce at stock exchanges and purchases for it of all tokens. Now in a portfolio has left only ETH and NEM for participation in the future ICO, I think in a portfolio those coins which to you for something should lay are necessary, if they are useless that simply speculate on fast at a stock exchange in small percent.

Ethereum is a platform. I don't really think they're trying to compete with BTC.

I think ethereum will not go beyond BTC, because BTC is the master coin of all coins.
Every exchange and end of exchange always use Bitcoin.

BTC as a kind of early addopter of the blockchain technology and also managed properly by the community. That doesn´t mean that BTC will be the only one in the market neither that BTC is out of risk. But something is clear, it is not only about one startup, it is about the transformation of the financial industry as a whole.

As others mentioned, it is a platform. Not a currency.

So people are paying for ethreum corp's shares. Not coins.

it is a platform for other stuff, so people who pay money to get eth are actually paying so they can have a chance to operate on the eth platform.

I kid, That's not the truth. Nobody cares about eth's tech. Everybody buys eth for pump&dump purposes. That's more or less same with bitcoin either except people actually use bitcoin to purchase stuff.

Also take this into consideration: Govs or Companies don't have to use Ethereum's infrastructure. They can build their own platform/network. No need to pay ethereum corp. That means bad business for eth.

On the other hand, bitcoin is all about its network's size. It is widely accepted in many places. Any altcoin out there is trying to compete with this big network. Which is too much hard work. Another plus for bitcoin.

Bitcoin is a settlement layer above all countries and companies. Ethereum is about companies and govs. Make your pick.

I think it's not just ethereum being a bitcoin threat but all the coins, this is because all the coins would want to be the number 1 that is currently controlled by bitcoin.
While in theory you are correct that is not true, even Ethereum is going to have a really hard time to take bitcoin spot in the top, it is obvious that a coin with a million dollars in market cap is going to have even more problems to even reach a point in which it will become a threat to bitcoin.

I heard that the ethereum is much better than the BTC that in fact is the same as BTC but improved and that is the reason why it is rising a lot of price.

Is the Ethereum really better than the BTC? Do you believe that the Ethereum will reach the prices of BTC and even more that will surpasses  the price of BTC, or that even will replace BTC?

What are your thoughts and predictions for Ethereum ??

Regards

There's always a possibility that ETH can replaced or surpass BTC, but not for now, it would probably take a long long time. But there are good projects under ETH, and a lot of people are trusting it, making it grow fast. I believe that ETH has a long way to go, for now Bitcoin is the most accepted cryptocurrency to date.

No Ethereum is not a threat to Bitcoin. Ethereum was never meant to compete with Bitcoin, even more replacing it. It was just meant to be a wormd-computer, what Bitcoin is not.
ethereum is a crypto currency and the acceptance of ethereum is also growing , but if we see the users of ethereum we can see that most of the people using ethereum are using ethereum as an asset , an investment that is meant to make profit to them in near future .
bitcoin has a great number of supporter's and is currently the best because it  is providing the best advantages that a trader needs , like fluctuating values , comparatively low transfer tax and many more .itcoins took its time and evolved itself to what now it is .
ethereum is just a begining of a new project now , they may become a threat to bitcoins , not now but surely in future as they are also developing themselves . it would be very difficult for them to overcome bitcoins like almost impossible  , but they have the potential to do so

Ethereum becoming the most successful altcoins in this business doesn't mean that they can surpass the original and the most successful virtual currency existing im this world. Their value are not even half the value of bitcoins so how can that be a threat to them? And besides the segwit thing just enable bitcoins to grow more and look at their price now, it almost doubled its price before that how powerful bitcoin are and no one can be a threat to them.

No, It's not. The real threat of BTC is BitcoinCash as in a small period of time (Few days after it's launched) the price of the digital currency Bitcoin Cash sustained its upward trajectory and surpassed the $700 mark as of Aug. 18 3 weeks since it's birth.

i think it is too early to predict eth. Is not really a threat to bitcoin because they are not the same.the value the price the demand.it is not possible.but for me i believe that no other coin can replace bitcoin.because it is tend go be replace  by other i think bitcoin can never exist right now in this present time.
