BTC Bitcoin: A Peer-to-Peer Electronic Cash System BTC A purely peer-to-peer version of electronic cash would allow online payments to be sent directly from one party to another without going through a financial institution. Digital signatures provide part of the solution, but the main benefits are lost if a trusted third party is still required to prevent double-spending. We propose a solution to the double-spending problem using a peer-to-peer network. The network timestamps transactions by hashing them into an ongoing chain of hash-based proof-of-work, forming a record that cannot be changed without redoing the proof-of-work. The longest chain not only serves as proof of the sequence of events witnessed, but proof that it came from the largest pool of CPU power. As long as a majority of CPU power is controlled by nodes that are not cooperating to attack the network, they'll generate the longest chain and outpace attackers. The network itself requires minimal structure. Messages are broadcast on a best effort basis, and nodes can leave and rejoin the network at will, accepting the longest proof-of-work chain as proof of what happened while they were gone.

Why? Blockexplorer is just not working properly again, and must be resynched. Currently at: [2017-05-30 19:35:36] jackpot block 66064, diff 6.35, net 379.04 MH/s Can someone confirm this? I think I had a similar block height with the difficulty of ~11 which was suspicious, compared it to the block explorer and I was a couple hundred blocks AHEAD. It's getting pretty annoying that the block explorer is always the de facto correct fork everyone should follow. The longest or even just the most popular fork should be chosen as the one, not just some arbitrary, random non-mining node. Always going by and trusting a known, random node is a form of centralization. Anyway, now I can't ven resync from scratch, stuck at block 37257 after several tries and half a day later: ProcessBlock: ORPHAN BLOCK, prev=5b001f93d60b72e46747 >> nHeight = 37257, nPoWHeight = 19226 >> nHeight = 37257, nPoWHeight = 19226 This coin is just bloody awful. I warned everybody that this coin was a shitcoin a long time ago but the Op and his minions had my comments deleted. Exchanges will not touch this shitcoin with it's wonky blockchain and all you mining it are missing out on real opportunities. Pools have dropped it because of the same reasons. This a bigger failure than Jackpotcoin. RIP! You're getting annoying. Quit whining or gtfo.

I can't sync ahead of 37257 no matter what I do. Not even from the bootstrap or even with the older wallets, without even a config file and with a new wallet.

Please reboot the blockexplorer, it's gone crazy even more. It skipped 4k blocks.
