it will all come down to the fact that Dogecoin doesn't offer anything special! it is a bad copy coin with the same code as other thousands or so coins and it was always supposed to be a joke.

i didn't know about what cryptohunter said about its infinite supply, that is silly in my opinion. and even if it did really have a cap, we already have a huge supply of 109 billion coins and that is enough to always push the coin down to 1 satoshi, 0.5 satoshi and final death.

it is the community that's keeping it alive so far.

This evaluation of DOGE is outdated. It is the community keeping the whole of crypto alive. The market has already decided that DOGE will not only survive but will also flourish as it doing right now.

You will wait forever for it's final death but never see it. 109 billion coins is nothing. As crypto grows it may not even be enough. Remember that these are global currencies.

A few weeks ago people were saying the exact same thing about LTC and now it's everyone's darling. You need to realign how you see this industry.

well i can't say i agree with you. because with your logic saying 109 billion coins is nothing then bitcoin which has 16.5 million coins currently available (0.015% of Doge) with a 21 mil cap should be worth something around $1,000,000 per coin!

Well DOGE was meant to be a FUN MEME COIN to get more lay people into Crypto and it has achieved that. Now value wise, yes it can be pumped a bit but it won't reach it's former glory of a few hundred sats because now we have a plethora of coins and tokens coming into the market. It may still be a good coin to trade though and I click the odd DOGE Faucet and collect them for free, so that can't hurt.

I don't own dogecoin I just want to hear opinions , we the rise of altcoins as we know not every Alt will succeeds definitely some will fail.

It's an altcoin and consider as one of the top altcoin in the sea of altcoins but I don't think they are going to be on top of the industry,they are having hard time getting into the top 4 although the price is fast recovering but they have a very long way to get where Bitcoin has gone.

no , i think ,, supply dogecoin very very big , so take effect to price ,, but now i don't know why price dogecoin increase , becuase i see altcoin with very very big supply is not good , but if dev can manage that coin ,, i think dogecoin can success for the future

It's a sweet little coin. It doesn't cost much to move it (fee is 1 doge), people don't mind spending it and tipping with it.

I'd say that if you wanted to do everyday stuff, like buying coffee, doge would be a better option than bitcoin. The problem is that most vendors don't accept it, which is what is holding it back as a coin that can actually be used in real life.

I would recommend MONA over DOGE at this stage, given:
- the big demand for crypto in Japan
- Low market cap
- Good liquidity

DOGE may not be the "future" of altcoins - it has certainly cemented itself in crypto history and has served a continued purpose as a gateway alt, introducing many people to crypto. The community is seeing a revival also, with the current 3 developers taking a real renewed interest. So it's not the future, but it still has a strong say, and all the better for that.

Am with you on this one, I do not see Dogecoin to be part of the future either but its written a great history to be among one of the first cryptocurrencies.
 
If the doge developers could fork it just like LTC went through , it might have a chance to compete with other altcoins that have unique and on the demand features that make them valuable to us. The bottomline is Dogecoin is now a crypto historical attraction nothing more

i not see any fiture about this coin except the community. in a month ago it is 17 sat and going up until 90+ maybe it is only pump scene and not because fiture

I disagree with your selection of "solid" coins but I agree with your sentiment, there isn't room for a million different coins with big market value. More likely there will be a select few then a bunch of niches where they are meant to be used in specific segments of the industry (like gamecredits) but the niches will never gain the big market value of the select few coins.

I agree with you, still, i don't know why it is decided as one of the top altcoins. Compared with BTC, ETH, LTC etc the price of DOGE is very low the supply of DOGE is very huge, but many people are expecting DOGE price will increase to 200 to 300 Sats in future.

Maybe yes dogecoin have potenital but no one knows what is future of dogecoin. I have 5 million ot dogecoin I bought this 15 satoshi only and the orice is 80 plus and I decided to hold thid in few months and or maybe 1 year . Dogecoin have potential to increase and I love this coin very much. You can research more so you can know if this good to buy. But highly recommended Ethereum is the best altcoin.
