Maybe so, I didn't say that you cannot make money on EOS - in fact I believe you can & have done so already.
I just don't like holding it (long term) anymore, for various reasons, the main one of which is that I feel the project did not deliver exactly as promised (OK, yet).
Also I think we can both agree that certain news/fundamentals/macros, can be manipulated at will - generally speaking. Wink

Do you really think it can outrank BTC? It makes me giggle just thinking about it. Grin

This is the first capitulation dump without a massive fud campaign (Gox! China!). It has been coordinated and intentional - likely institutional money that bought OTC and dumping ahead of Bakkt - but the news/fundamentals/macros for BTC/EOS are overwhelmingly positive.

Interesting observation. We shall see how things are bound to unfold.

Personally, I keep my tokens on Ledger, this is the safest way of storage today, so the main task is not to lose your tokens, but to save.

Tell me where you can now store the EOS?
I did not find any wallets on the site, have you yet screwed it to the Ledger?
ledger is good secure wallet
ledger walllets supports eth based tokens but EOS is now having their own blockchain and i don't find any link that eos supports ledger
if you have any link please send it here i want to see that and also wants to move mine to the ledger wallet

EOS, the second most used blockchain for Smart Contracts recently announced the release of a new protocol built on top of its blockchain that improves support for developers.
https://medium.com/nebula-protocol/introducing-nebula-the-game-changing-protocol-for-professionals-built-on-eos-5c9fc7a11c20
That's awesome for all of community of EOS especially for the developer.

can the eos platform replace the ethereum platform?

Probably in the future could be, eos network is able of much more transactions per seconds than eth, but the project is young, and need improvements in usability, wallets are also young and all the eco system need to be understood, by common people, and at the moment is not so easy.....

But i think that have a lot of potential.

EOS is a new coin that is working hard to become a coin that can compete in crypto. I think EOS has the potential to become one of the future mainstay coins caused by the rapid growth and development of coins.
looks at the market current situation. more then 25 billion is wiped out from the crypto market and now the total market cap is 185 billion $
the old one's are now facing downtrend. bitcoin is down eth is at number 3 on crypto market. XRP now at number 2
EOS is new and if the team of EOS introduce something new that old crypto coins don't have then their is huge chances that EOS could take place at number 2 in crypto market. EOS is doing good but its could be great in future hopefully

Yes.In the future, EOS can move to second place and go over the current price.Investors will select Eos if Ethereum enters the downtrend.

Why are people so stupid as to take the EOC, if it's not a cryptocurrency? The main idea of the cryptocurrencys is regardless of the banks, so that no one could freeze your account, the ether can do it only by hard fork, for the sake of one person this will never happen, but the EOS just froze the money of one of the bloggers with a suspicion of dubious origin

I agree that EOS is still young and have much more room to grow but it can never replace ETH, it can be something of its own and be a better network that any other but, ETH has something unique that is why ICO and other platform keep on using them.

What are the unique features, that eos don't have ? I don't see it.

Both have a chain,
Both have smart contracts,
Both have the ability to add other tokens on the chain
What else is unique to ETH ?

I'm not asking it with irony, i'm really interested to hear what is the difference that make eth better. Thanks

I've bought some EOS a long time ago. I didn't know anything about it. I bought it suddenly. Then I've started to read.

Here is my thought,

1) EOS and EOS's network is not ready yet!
2) Still, They have not a easy and cheap way for create a wallet. People can not use EOS wallet easily.
3) Someone gets EOS wallet in one way. But there is another big problem more! RAM! It is hard to understand what is RAM and how it is working!
4) Under these circumstances, no one needs to use EOS while platforms like Ethereum, NEO are standing.

imho you are probably right, especially when it comes down to long term hodling.

nicely said, not to mention that all the above have a certain fish smell to them  Shocked

Definitely, EOS will be one of the hardest competitors of Ethereum when it comes to smart contracts and token creation for ICOs.In the future we will talk a lot about EOS.

What you think is also, in part, (points 2&3) what i think is the actual problems, in eos, that's why i said above that eos have a lot of potential, but si not mature, but as i asked to chichidori, is what "unique features" of ETH are missing in EOS, i'm perfeclty conscious that eos is at the beginning, and need to improve in usability, is one of the first things that i said (you can find above, i've marked in bold my part of the statement that say so.

on point 1) i disagree, eos network is working and is stable, and is processing a lot of transactions without any problem, and this is the weak part of eth, still after years a network with scalability problems, that when there is an important ico with a lot of transactions it sits down for days....

Not so long ago, I looked at the fact that a certain agency carried out an EOS network check and now they found out that in fact the EOS project does not have such speed as it stated from the very beginning. Therefore, I think the price has fallen very much.
