Bought few EOS today, will hodl it for some free airdrops atleast. This project will beat cardano, Neo and other wannabes hands down.

That's what only you think. I guess that the price will drop as soon as the release of main net.
I will buy in that time than now.

I heard that EOS can easily take a third place after bitcoin blockchain technology and ethereum as well. so I am for it
Yes many people said that EOS is third generation of blockchain and it will fix the problem on first generation of blockchain and second generation of blockchain as we know bitcoin is first generation of blockchain and ethereum is second generation of blockchain, they have scaling problem and security problem, EOS blockchain will be solution for it but we must wait until the EOS blockchain be launched to find the result.

Yes, Binance announced they will support main net token swap, so if you put your EOS there they will manage the entire swap process for you and holding EOS token there will result in having new EOS coin as soon as mainnet is available and they complete the snapshot, so, not registration needed or anything else is required for manual swap. In this case it's much easier to keep them on the exchange than on your ETH wallet and do the process yourself. Of course always remember tokens\coins on an exchange means you don't have access to private key so they aren't really yours in case of exchange failure (see MtGox).

Hello,

I would like to know whether there is anything to do before 1st June when owning EOS tokens (with known private ETH address, so not on an exchange)? Maybe there is nothing special to do in order to get the upcoming EOS coins, but it is written here and there that some airdrops will only occurr if we have an EOS address before 1st June. There are several unofficial posts about it (including with the promotion of a smart contract supposedly linking the tokens with the upcoming coins), but how can I trust them? What I find incredible is that I found nothing from eos.io. Every material is unofficial. How is that possible? I must have missed something...

Thanks for your help and for any official information you can point to!

The mainnet is about to go live. Does anyone know if it will be fully operative from start? Will it be possible to create assests on it from the very first day? Or otherwise, how much time later?

If you own EOS or eosDAC ERC20 tokens, you need to register your Ethereum address with an EOS public address to receive the coins on the EOS network.
Two easy guides for registering your EOS before the launch of the EOS Mainnet:
Register your EOS tokens using the Ledger Nano S : https://www.youtube.com/watch?time_continue=6&v=gPq9rHdj_5o
Register your EOS tokens using Exodus wallet (register for free token airdrops) : https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=PXp_L252xGs
When the EOS main net launches next month, the ERC20 tokens held in the registered Ethereum address will be credited on your EOS address.
Youtube links where published in a steem post : https://steemit.com/eos/@crypt0/important-register-your-eos-tokens-here-are-my-two-tutorials-ledger-and-exodus-both-easy-methods

Thx for the info.

Does someone already know what you need to do AFTER main net is released if you had your ERC20 on a ETH-Wallet ? How to acces to our real EOS after main net ?

Does someone already know if our tokens will disapear?

All this confusion about addresses and registration of tokens makes me think that most holders will dump it before the mainnet launch.

or just move their coins on exchanges that will support the swap
cause, duping now could be dangerous, the price can rise a lot with the mainnet
