Just reminding folks, Time is running out. Register eos keys to your eth public address if you want to get your free airdrops. Eos price is still half off from the all time high so it's not to late to get in. Take advantage of the situation for those that are too lazy to register.
For USA folks just download free trial of opera surfeasy VPN and you can go to the eos.io website and get access to register your eos keys. Super easy and fast to register to hardware/desktop eth wallets.
All this sounds like a headache at first but it's easy when you try it. Don't be Lazy theirs free airdrop money on the table and you get to interact and understand smart contacts more.
Don't be the first or the last to invest. I want all you eos adopters to have life changing money in the future

According to NIST and ECRYPT II, the cryptographic algorithms used in
Bitcoin are expected to be strong until at least 2030. (After that, it
will not be too difficult to transition to different algorithms.)

Taking a gander at the new EOS first light and the material distributed up until this point, EOS has this yearning intend to be a stage that numerous locales like Steem can be based on top it. I don't have a clue about the foundation why Dan has left the past associations, maybe legislative issues or something yet EOS ideally will be a place he connected the lessons gained from every single past wander. EOS appears to utilize concentrated technique to scale a decentralized system (21 super piece makers) which is fascinating Wink. In any case, on the off chance that they can accomplish half of what the ethereum advertise top today that will be immense potential!

Hello, I received an email to claim EOS airdrop, I would like to know if it is scam or legitimate Indeed, many people claimed receiving those scam mails recently (hope no victims) after announcement of the date of EOS freeze in the old blockchain. Being a victim not only by proceeding links and offers their private keys to scammers; some scripts can easly be executed by your navigator and use your cpu to mine coins (see the cryptojack case). Should always be careful and never use emails received in spam folder or click any suspecious link. Registering the wallet holding EOS doesn't need to use your ethereum private keys or passwords

This is definately a scam. I received the email too, looks like some previous emails had also come from the scammers trying to 'soften me up' before the big sting. Look at the URL it's malformed, the " o" in EoS is a " ó" (note the accent above the 'o').

I am so in need of help. I fully admit I'm technically not as up to speed as most of you on here, and I'm still pretty new to this scene but I'm having loads of trouble getting my MEW address registered for the snapshot and I just don't know what to do next.
I have a pretty small amount of EOS for what it's worth, but it would still suck to lose it. I sent it to MEW from Kraken where I had bought it. I followed all the instructions on the EOS page, verified that 'Amount' was set to 0, hit 'Generate Transaction' and lo and behold, it tells me I don't have enough gas to fund the registration.
Now I'm all confused about this whole gas thing, I'm trying to learn about it but it honestly is going over my head.
So I send about 50 bucks worth of ETH to MEW, hoping to push this transaction through. Follow all the steps again, and when I hit 'Generate Transaction' it tells me I need to set a gas limit of at least 90 000. So ok, I type in 90 000 and send it through. Now I'm seeing that my transaction is 'out of gas'.
I'm so worried now I'm going to lose my EOS, just because I tried to do the 'right' thing and send it to MEW even though Kraken claims it will take care of all the technical details for the holders, and I was tempted to just leave it in the exchange since I know I've got so much to learn when it comes to the technicalities of crypto.
Does anyone have any suggestions please?

Feeling the same smell. A replacement of smart contract blockchain coming on EOS. EOS main net launch is coming. Heard EOS to takeover ETH as the leading smart contract blockchain. Actually, there so many thoughts lets see what happen. Currently I have EOS also planning bags more heavy in EOS.

I think people will not want to move EOS around the mainlaunch date, since all the airdrops may not be complete. I can't see people selling during this time.

Many people said that EOS will be ethereum killer due it can makes millions transaction per second on EOS platform, many people who believe in it due to the developer team of EOS Dan larimer has good experience in the cryptos currencies space, he has made bitshare and steemit, they have been sucessfull now and EOS will have great chance in the future to be more sucessfull than bitshare and steemit.

Well, if I understood the FAQ correctly, you can't sell them anymore if they are not actually (blocked) at an exchange, because movement on ETH-Chain has halted...
