Very cool, just on complaint... nothing to do with the site, just wondering why not do this for btc-e, mt gox sucks a big one compared to btc-e.  Smiley

There are several different types of Bitcoin clients. The most secure are full nodes like Bitcoin Core, which will follow the rules of the network no matter what miners do. Even if every miner decided to create 1000 bitcoins per block, full nodes would stick to the rules and reject those blocks.

One thing I noticed earlier...

Usually a candle is unfilled, when open value is higher as close value and filled, if open value is lower than close value in a particular period.

Looking at the values displayed in the upper left corner when hovering over a particular candle, assuming the actual candle (filled/unfilled) is correct, values are backwards for unfilled red and filled green candles.

To be exact:

As it currently stands green candles always have an open > close (even if they're filled) and red candles always have open < close (even if they're unfilled).

So for filled green and unfilled red candles I assume open/close values would need to be swapped.

Thanks a lot, works well Smiley

Maybe you would consider making choice of time period persistent as well? Wink

Anyway, your charts are great, thanks for your work!

I think it would not be simple persistent. because always start at same period is conflict with always start at the last period. Both of them have their own groups. It need import new option to solve it. but currently I doesn't focus on that, so it would not be supported in short time.

I was referring to the setting in the upper left corner called "Time Period", where one can choose the time interval that is represented by one candle.

Tbh I am not quite sure, what you mean with "same"  and "last" period.

Current setting is always start at 15 minutes period, that's I mean always `same`, no care which period the user visited last time. Because when user new login, he often want to see recently price trends, then go to other period. if persistent, this feature will be lost.

It is a feature of BitcoinWisdom, but lack of documentation might be make user confused. The setting is if open < close, then it is green. if close > prev-close, then it is unfilled.
Actually here is a known bug but I haven't fixed yet, the first candle stick is always filled.

Okay, I see, thank you.

I am not gonna ask for a setting to enable/disable persistence of time period...no worries... *g*

I see tweaking keeps going on, the new settings window is very promising.
By reading the thread I see at first you didn't want to support MA settings or other currencies but less than 2 days after here they are. Beware or the feature requests will eat you (== your time) alive, for instance I agree that other currencies wasn't really needed since there's so little movement in non USD market still you wrote it took you lot of time. Next time I'd say to stick with your plan and skip such a request.

Back to the suggestions:
  • in a candle info display time in 24H format or at least provide a setting for that, AM/PM makes it harder for me to evalute time spans
  • now that there's a settings window move less frequently used settings there and collapse the two horizontal bar in a single one as suggested early, I'd leave out only time period setting
  • introduce presets, you save current settings' status then access a saved preset from a popup menu outside settings window, this will keep the UI clean and let the users configure the application the way they like, an user is only using so much settings combination

Excellent. Looking forward to see more exchanges being added! (especially bitstamp.net and bitcoin.de)

Too many people somehow still have the idea that Bitcoin = MtGox, and that needs to change.

By the way, any chance you can also include a live orderbook graph, visualizing the bid & ask volumes?
A good example is the way Bitstamp does it: https://www.bitstamp.net/market/order_book/ ← would be great to have this on your site for other exchanges as well!

In theory, there's no difference between theory and practice. In practice, there is.

Thank you for suggestion. but I'm afraid most of those request cannot be applied.
12hrs is quite popular in charts, and easier to know it is moring and evening. such as Google Yahoo Finance use 12hrs too. and I prefer 12 hrs, so the default time keep 12hrs.  The time format setting will be added in future.

The MA/EMA bar will not be moved into settings. because it is not part of settings and many other indicators such as Bolling, Sar could be placed in. let users can switch them quickly is important. currently it is 2 clicks to switch. in future it will be improved to 1 click.

Light button indicate we have a light version obviously, Users need not to think or ask himself if there is a light version or find it where it is. if it isn't in header then it must be in footer.

Collapse the two horizontal bar in a single one cannnot be produced too. BitcoinWisdom is not only charts website, so in future it will even be 3 lines.

Too many custom settings will make users lose themself.  so I will consider to add each setting carefully if it is really need to keep settings as little as possible.

That's what I'm talking about, saying "no" to feature requests. :-)

Can you put at least a setting to disable live displaying of closing price tag on candles?

Keep up the good work.

I'm not sure the closing price tag is refer to.
If is the float close price tag on each candle, then it is no.
If is the depth hints at right. then it is yes, because it need to be hide when export canvas to png.
