12-May   11.03%   11,187,257
25-May   8.64%   12,153,412
05-Jun   28.41%   15,605,633

This is pretty amazing to take in. So I'm guessing this June 05 spike is caused from all the USB Erupters and Jaly's coming onto the network ? Is there something else that has come online, assuming ASICMiner is going to handle 25% of the blockchain solo ?

Transactions must be included in a block to be properly completed. When you send a transaction, it is broadcast to miners. Miners can then optionally include it in their next blocks. Miners will be more inclined to include your transaction if it has a higher transaction fee.

I believe 600 units @ 70? or maybe 72 Gh/s per unit. I also believe that it has started shipping, but there are more units to go before the shipping of batch 2 is complete. 40 - 43 Th/s yes

So if the current net hash rate is 117TH/s, that batch alone represents 35% of the total net hash rate. Add that to the 20TH/s from batch #1 and you can see that over half the entire BTC hash rate is now concentrated down to  900 Avalon boxes, even less when you count users, since many people ordered more than one Avalon box.

Most of the Jalapenos through paydate July 31 have shipped. Sometimes an order can get hung up in the shipping software. Sometimes an order doesn't ship because the customer has not logged into his account and accepted the new power consumption. So I say "most" have shipped through that date. One person wrote on the day I was processing his order to go to production and said, "I am tired of waiting; refund my money." Knowing how much the rest of you wanted that product, we refunded him.

Early August orders have been sent to production.

Let's get clear about our agreement here. This is a SHIPPING blog. I agree to tell you the shipping dates of the products we are shipping every day so you can have some idea where we are in the queue.

Some people ask me to share the order numbers. These are not relevant, since we ship by pay date. It would tell you nothing. Sometimes we had to assign a large number to an old order because it got lost. The order numbers are only for reference, not shipping queue.

I received my shipping email about an hour ago. Order #2473, ordered 6/28/2012. Mine was delayed a few days due to USPS sending my FPGA trade-in all over the damn country.

This is almost art.
Congratulation on screwing up your most expensive pre-orders!
Because obviously, pay date for a minirig = pay date + 3 years. Or am I missing something ?

You sure you don't have an order or 2 for singles or MR before july the 3rd ? Dog ate them, maybe ?  Grin

[OVER] RIDDLES 2nd edition --- this was claimed. Look out for 3rd edition!
I won't ever ask for a loan nor offer any escrow service. If I do, please consider my account as hacked.

Errrh? If you ordered the 22'th, but did not pay until the 30'th, your order is shipped with the other ones paid the 30'th.

That's right. So it's best if you pay when you order.

Of course, what would otherwise keep people from ordering and not paying for months, then just paying when things look good? It is protection for those of us who paid.

Anyone know if upgrading, which I did from 5Gh - 7Gh)  pushes you back in the que? I would think not...

Yes, that is correct. We will still need to assemble the units, but they go together very fast. So far, it's looking like 400 a day was a conservative estimate (that's 400 aggregate across all product lines, not 400 per product line). With a partial team going on the Jalapeno's, we can easily do 200 in about 5 hours. With a full team and more practice, an 8 hour day would yield at least 400 Jalapeno's + whatever singles and MRs can be put together in that time.

Answer - Upgrading does not appear to push anyone back (with intention) in the que. I say it that way as the upgraded units might be using newer chips which are not yet delivered. So, there
might be a short delay, think they mentioned those chips arrive in July. I pulled that from another thread. Not sure though.

There was a one day delay caused by a bug in the shipping software (fixed now).
I received the shipping confirmation mail two days ago and according to USPS tracking they are on their way.

At this point, with how many out int he wild, and with me getting mine Saturday and have been running my Jalapeno since then, well about the 4.5Gh that I paid for, yeah, im good.  Of course I wish it didnt take me nearly a year, but hey, I got it so cant really say scam, just not exactly delivered when originally promised, but the product does exist and does do as promised.

I think you should rather use 25-30% in your calculations. ASICS are coming fast now, and will skyrocket the difficulty.

Yes, but not monthly.

The difficulty increase in percentage staying the same means that the average increase has been the same.

Lets illustrate this:

Difficulty 10m. For illustration, lets say it is 10th/s (I know that is wrong.)

Hashrate increase of 10%, increase 1m. 1th/s
Same hashrate comes up: 11m, Hashrate 11/th/s with a 1th/s increase. After 2016 blocks, difficulty is increased by 9,09%.
If you suggest a cumulativ increase of additional percentages, you need to think about the costs. 360 million is RIDICULOUS. I have written about this before.

You would have to add the total hashrate of June to accomodate October increases. Just think about that. Then you would do it again, and again. Adding the current total network hashrate several times over, with increasing the increase absolute number every time.

I would agree that a cumulative outlook is nearly impossible.
