ya i agree in 2020 cryptocurrencies will be so much more popular than today. and i believe this will followed by society to accept the virtual currency and accepted blockchain system.

In my opinion, depends in that time Bitcoin and cryptocurrency still keep it's hot trend or not, special the government in most country on the world's still don't have any announce about accept Bitcoin is new currency or asset or rules about it.

altcoin is hard to predict whether it will go up or down, but if until 2020 altcoin will continue to increase its going could be better, but for now predictions about altcoin in the next few years is still minimal. only bitcoin that can be predicted in the next few years will be up.

I think some coins will survive but small coins cannot,because the altcoins today is not just very effective but it can be a source of income.Altcoins are also good but there are coins that appears and has a good amount.I think in 2020 if altcoin didnt grow that much other altcoins will not survive.

Oh! Are you looking at the far future? The thread is talking about Altcoins in 2020, that is actually a little more than a couple of years from now. Ripple will die? Nah nah. Won't happen. Ripple is third rank in Bittrex in terms of volume and it is still pumping as I am responding to you right now.

We cannot say that these alt coins may go up , their are many alt coins Taht failed like DOGE coins , space bit , paybit .
They all seemed to had a good future but where wreaked.
Yes many new altcoins may come but they would need their time to settle in the crypto world , they would have to face the problems , competition given by BTC and other popular altcoins like ETH .

According to me ethereum would survive and it's value would also get pumped up, it is constantly increasing its value since may 2017 , yes it went down a little . Ethereum has a good potential to give bitcoins competition in the race but they have a lot to do now.

Which altcoins do you think will see year 2020 with prosperity and why they will survive?

I think following will be there

1) Ripple / because of its application in banking use
2) Ether / because its smart contracts and scripting functionality
3) Dash / Instant send and private send

Here I don't think that this list is better or you may say that it is complete , because there are so mamy coins which not a better future .
First coin in my opinion is the Digibyte coin , wgich can easily rise in the last of even this year , so you can expect that how much this coin grow in 2020.
Second coin it bitcoin cash , and i don't think that we need to wait much time to get start to make profit with this coin because this is that coin which is developed by the bitcoin team and have a better future in my opinion than what the bitcoin have .
Third coin is doge coin , clock coin , because soon clock coins will touch new hight Because of open source ( according to my friends views about the clock coin ) .
Fourth coin is ETH coin , which will surely make profit for those who can buy in this year and hold until 1-2 years because it is that coin for which 0.15btc/etc rate is a small thing to acchive .
Here I don't meant to say that your list is worst , but i think you should list these coins in your list  also .

Very much agreed! Within the matter of years I see the demand and popularity of alt coins as well as bitcoins growing, especially with the endorsements we are now seeing. I feel that many ICO's are trying to make a name for themselves which only increases opportunities for investors!
