It would be interesting to know if this was a custom API or a public one, meaning that maybe other sites are affected and their owners could use this news to protect their sites too.

Custom API, so I don't think this affects anyone else. We've disabled betting in the meantime whilst we sort this out, but I really think the lesson to other operators is not to be overconfident in your code or in your setup. Everything can and will be compromised, so assume it's going to happen and put safeguards in place to handle that eventual scenario.

I always liked Dash's original announcement to fail-launch and then the super sneaky re-launch.

That was my favorite too, being lied to on first launch ( I mean second relaunch) and told their would be another launch next day so shut off your miners and then taking a bribe from the pool that never shut down then changing the mining rate to make the insta mine worth so much more was true evil genius. seems all altcoin are fake, bitcoin is the only coin to invest, i lost my btc in one of these fake coin last weekend. i will never invest in any fake coin anymore.

I stopped reading as everything I bolded is all outright lies. Why don't you try to supply some sources, you can't. Maybe your recolllection is bad or you have been saying these things so long you actually believe them.

The only issue at launch was a crippled miner which was the same with ALL cyptonote coins and inherited from the Scamcoin Bytecoin and was fixed and released. the amount that was easily mined was minimal compared to the amount in existence and was dumped as the miner author wrote about when he was found out.
