When there is an addition on the yobit exchange?
We've sent them an email and we're waiting for a reply. They've been adding a lot of coins recently and with our recent volume increase on Nova we're hoping to hear from them soon. We might send them another follow up email if we don't hear from them. Maybe once again you will submit the application for yobit? I want to buy OHM, and that it is necessary to overtake funds for Nova and there to buy, it isn't convenient. One of the fastest way to be listed on yobit is by paying for enlisting, they accept this method and if I'm not mistaken, we'll bypass some vote or other things that will made us wait |

The new team of Developers is very active, working on the Android wallet, mobile app design, and some community driven puzzles exclusive to OHM. Our media team has grown and is working on some wonderful videos which will be out soon. Later this week I will begin to share some of the first submissions to LAMB regarding our Acts of Kindness initiative. We are in the process of continual improvement and clarity, and while we are all volunteers, we put as much time as we have available into OHM to see its success. Our team is personally saving up and contributing funds so that we can afford to submit to more exchanges soon. We apologize for the lack of activity on here, and hope it will be bustling with information soon  If you'd like to speak with the team, the easiest way is to reach out via discord at the moment. For all people interested. I have also just given feedback to the team in the discord that they really need to up their game on this thread. And they promised to give more attention. But by all means join this discord and you will see it really is one of the more active communities for a coin with a marketcap under 100K. This is an amazing idea! I adore the fact that you guys have your platform setup around non-evil currency. Nowadays there is a huge stigma regarding money and the way we use it. There is the illusion that we have control over our money when third parties and such really own us. Attaching the game for incentive is a great way to generate an audience. I am very interested! This sounds cool.

Yeah, it has only been on Novaexchange for like a month or so -about 25-30% gain. I remember when Ω wallet had a market cap of only 70K. Common now, 70K for project with 15-20 people working on various aspects of its ecosystem? Talking about under value, this one has not even been discovered much less scratching the surface. More listing of exchanges and Android app are coming. There will be an explosion.

'eyo, everybody! We've been sadly remiss in keeping bitcointalk updated on our progress, but we've turned over a new leaf recently (it turned out to be a page in a book on business management, but more on that later). We're trying to be much more organized, open and transparent than we have been, which was always our goal. If you have any questions you'd like to ask (like "where the heck did you go," "is OHM still active?" and so on) feel free to. We'll answer them directly; people deserve a little individual reassurance, at this point. With that in mind, here are a few things we've been working on over the last two weeks. - Reorganization: We're using a suite of tools we hadn't taken advantage of previously to ensure that everything stays on track. Web-based tools, file storage, password management apps, you name it. Now, more or less, everybody knows what everybody else is doing. Access to OHM's social media properties is in the right hands, etc.
- Media rebranding: We've got a team of 6 people who are more or less digital wizards (it's more, trust me) pumping out a lot of images. We're addressing our somewhat inconsistent visual themes, and developing media kits. There are digital video recordings in the works as well, to help propagate our message; one is similar to a public service TV announcement, and the other is more like a rap video.
- Android Wallet: This was delayed by an unexpected computer meltdown. All information was saved, and the primary developer on this particular project is now focused specifically on expediting its completion (he's not currently working on the AoK blockchain until it's done; see below for more on that). Glad to see you "resettled," MC!
- iOS wallet: This is proving problematic. Historically, Apple doesn't accept altcoin wallets, and we'd have to completely rewrite the code in Swift even if they were to do so. We may have to take an alternative route to the established concept of a cryptocurrency wallet; we'll have more on this as it develops, but (without similar impediments facing us) we're currently focused on Android. We will not abandon iOS, it's just going to take us a little bit longer than we had hoped for.
- Acts of Kindness Blockchain Development: At its heart, the LAMB initiative is an experiment with providing a blockchain-style structure to a registry of acts of kindness. Currently, LAMB is managed manually, but our eventual goal is the incorporation of an automated process, confirmed by members of the community. In return for providing confirmation, those members share in the OHM bounty awarded for the act that's been recorded. The idea is similar to wikipedia; a small team of community managers, bolstered by anybody who'd like to help out, with a few standards in place to help ensure that only appropriate acts are added to the blockchain.
- RFID Technology: The iOS wallet is giving us some grief, but we've made contact with a developer for an entirely different field of software application. The goal is to create an RFID-based network for real-world OHM distribution. The possible applications of this are numerous; for example, let's say someone plants a tree. We can periodically provide a chip that's embedded in the tree with a small infusion of OHM. This could reward the planter, or they could use it to get other people in their local community involved.
- Charitable Outreach: OHM is tightly united, at present, with SVV, as we continue to help each other advance and receive more recognition.
Down the road a ways, we will return to our formerly loose association, with the sole focus of direct connection between the two being the LAMB initiative. Our goal is to reach other charitable, goodwill, or positivity-centered organizations, and work with them to achieve recognition as a recognized form of internal currency. Having OHM used as a medium for charitable giving, in widespread fashion, would be hugely beneficial to our underlying message.
That's the last few weeks in a nutshell, barring the usual day-to-day running of an organization consisting of a diverse range of individuals. We have students, experienced professionals, and people working more than one full-time job alongside self-employed freelancers and people down on their luck. Everyone has something to contribute, however, and we're all united in our enthusiasm to see a platform take off that, rather than simply rewarding acts of kindness, creates something new. The acts of kindness and sustainability are what provide value to OHM in the first place. We're convinced that, if OHM's focus is on kindness and sustainability as being a source of value, not simply a way to earn it, our message will become much more powerful. We'll be on the road to changing the world, one act at a time. Thank you for taking the time to read it! We're still around, and we've been busy. I'd like to add something that one of our devs, chenstyle, created after a virtual meeting we had a few days ago. It's based on what turned into a 2.5-hour lecture he delivered, which belongs on YouTube alongside the likes of Feynman. It was seriously awesome. What is the meaning of value? What gives a currency its value? Is it a matter of necessity or perception? What if it’s both?
Ohm is something different. The premise behind Ohm that is different than other currencies is two-fold. The first, is that it is used as the official currency for an augmented reality game (ARG) called SVV. The second is that the only way Ohm is rewarded without a direct purchase, is through acts of kindness that are oriented toward positive change in the world.
The value of Ohm is not just determined based on supply and demand like other currencies, both crypto and fiat alike, but is determined based on the value of an act of kindness, which for some, that act could be perceived as necessity. An elderly woman who doesn’t have the strength to carry her groceries to the door, has a need for assistance, whether it’s out of kindness or incentivized with a reward, she would be willing to reward someone for their assistance.
There are two ways to look at how this woman will meet her need - she can offer a monetary reward in advance, or she can hope that someone offers their help for free. In either case, whether someone helps because of the money being offered up front or because they feel compelled to do it out of kindness, the end result is the same - the elderly woman had her need met, and the person doing it did so out of kindness and perceived the value of the act of helping without the need for reward, or they did so because their perceived value was in the monetary reward.
This represents two different types of mindsets that hold true for everyone - “service-to-self” and “service-to-others”. Some people are motivated by how they feel rewarded by helping others, including acts of kindness, and others are motivated for self gain, and we see this all the time within the pillars of humanity, in finance, law, medicine, technology, politics.
We have learned that money in its current form is also used as a tool for manipulation and provides a path to corruption. Ohm, SVV and LAMB all have a goal of changing the world, and changing how currency is valued.
The SVV has a focus of improving self through learning, meditation, spiritual exploration, math, music and other positive actions through an ARG. For those who don’t want to take part in that aspect of self-growth but enjoy the idea of being rewarded for acts of kindness, there is LAMB. For those who want to hold a currency where the value of it is supported by making the world a better place through genuine, experiential acts that have been recorded with evidence, they can buy Ohm directly.
The purpose of all of these methods is to improve the world through actionable means and give a different meaning to the word “value” while simultaneously moving to a decentralized monetary system that is backed by people’s actions. ^^^ This is the best expression of what it is that we're trying to do that I've seen yet. Having it put this way actually galvanized a lot of people into higher levels of involvement; there were a lot of people who'd been looking for a way to express what it is that they were trying to do, but they'd had trouble putting it into words themselves. |

We're excited by our sudden escalation in value and volume on Nova, and are currently holding an internal fundraiser for Yobit. Previously, they had expressed reluctance due to our relatively low trade volume. We're going to pay the .5 for a premium listing, and are hoping that this + our recently bolstered trade volume gets us on board within the next 10-14 days. Next stop: Bittrex. We've already been in contact with them; they like the coin, but are also reluctant, due to low trade volume. Again, we're hoping our newly organized direction will help us, along with the expected further increase in trade a la Yobit. Timeframe here is fuzzy, but we're trying to maintain this forward momentum, and are looking to be on both exchanges by mid-August. |
