the thing is, at that moment nobody even knew bitcoin can be worth >$2000!
you may have said bitcoin is awesome and can rise up a lot but it certainly didn't look possible when price was practically nothing.
after some point when the little adoption occurred and the community grew, the number of nodes and miners (with their PC) grew then it became clear that bitcoin has a real potential. I think somewhere around $100 it was certain. I wasn't around back then but I certainly know it now and I will never repeat the mistake of selling my coins cheap at $3000 that would be throwing it away. nothing below 10K for me.

Well, times are a changing and things that would have been worth a ton now didn't seem like it back then. To be fair, it probably did help to spread Bitcoin during the initial phases and if everyone knew how valuable Bitcoin would end up being they likely would have completely skipped on the growth portion and just held their investment, turning it into just a series of bubbles.

Yeah , I agreed with you , Here I myself made 6000$ in the 8 months hardwork of the signature campaign and bulk trading but in the last day I made 12000$ in btc just in 24 hours ( or less ) .
I think this is like a miracle that I made this much amount of the Bitcoin earning profit , because in the starting I was weeping with my hardwork for the 1-2$ but in present I made this huge amount of profit just by the wait and do nothing .
Well here I Cames to know about the Bitcoin fully that wait for one year and I don't need to do hardwork more and just make money by the wait and wait with patience .
Here I am again thinking that the condition of the ETH is like Bitcoin , so here it would be more better to have eth also for the future , because ETH and dash are only two which can be comparable in the future  against Bitcoin .

I can relate to these newbies running to exchanges and buying a few bucks or a hundred of every single shitcoin out there just in case if few years from now they could become millionaires.

Don't forget if you are paying 0.0009 as a fee for 225 bytes of data ten years from now that amount could potentially worth $50 or even more who knows.

What would be nice is if Gavin could reveal the total amount of bitcoins that they distributed to faucet users back then. I remember that site I used to collect from that faucet on the later months of 2010. I have earned 5 btc at that site but I was not so keen about bitcoin before since I thought it was useless. There are no exchange which I can sell my bitcoins and the value is very low. Last 2013 I reformatted my computer and along with I lost my 5 bitcoins. How I wish I can still recover my files and withdraw my 5 btc and sell it today.

Struggling to get 1000 satoshi, it's too early to talk about such things. No one can predict anything for the future. We can count on the development of bitcoin, but do not judge it wrong. Even professionals make mistakes, so you should not assert it.

People are always saying that faucets are waste of time and they say same thing today,but they do not take into consideration that value of coins can be changed in the future.In time when BTC price was around 200-250$ we can make nice amount of satoshi every day,and today they are worth ten times more,not bad for 2 year time.

There is time when faucets pay 5 BTC,today is in the range from 10 to 100 satoshi,and with price increase rewards will go even less.Regarding fees,there is few microwallets like FaucetBox where we can accumulate coins and withdraw at desired treshold.
