Plagiarism. It'll probably get changed to a sig ban though since the post that was reported was from 2014 and he seems to be a half-decent poster. I'll look into it later.
Why so strict mate for a mistake of a newbie and that's 5 years ago... ? 60 days + 1 year sig ban seems a strong sentence for a mistake of a child (newbie)... I hope you will do a solid justice, as you said you'll look into it later. sorry if I said anything wrong!

This is very lenient considering most plagiarism cases received a permanent ban end of story. Considering 12 months from now they can join a Sig campaign again, and only have to take 60 days off.
It's a nice balance between leniency and punishment to still send a clear message. Especially because it will become clear not everyone will get this option.

So there will might be new opening for this week or answer is same as it was during last week. considering the fact that 2 members already removed from this campaign and its very lucrative campaign, lots of eyes are looking at this thread. I guess you mean, there MIGHT be.

Maybe I have no idea but I doubt it. It could be more related to the fact that we having been running with extra specially added members for a while.
Given the current climate I wouldn't rush to accept people either, could be more unexpected bans in the community.

Damn! Seems like ChipMixer is running out of budget 🤣😂 Just kidding 🙂The amount of money chipmixer pulls in from hackers, drug money and other criminals is very high... This marketing budget is just a drop in the bucket for them. RIP to the almighty Mr Gator, now lets see how much his post count drops off because of no more signature lol.

Errr, not everyone uses mixers for hiding the amount of money they've made from drug sales lol. Everyone should mix their coins in some way otherwise you open yourself to being tracked and being a target of someone after your money.
Happy >2 years running CM.

His post count is going to drop significantly(to zero) in the short term since a signature ban is usually accompanied by a temp posting ban of 60 days.

With current mining fees they're probably making less money, users mixing smaller amounts are also probably more hesitant to mix, or only doing it in periods when mining fees are lower.

That may explain why they're not adding new slots: Now as Bitcoin's price rose again, campaign participants are posting more - and so the campaign budget rises, even in BTC.

Another ChipMixer campaign participant lost his signature: A new wave of autoban? Another DT1 member got sig ban: - bill gatorBanned from displaying signatures until May 18, 2021, 08:56:42 PM
In a surprising turn of events, bill gator was unbanned and got his signature back, but his trust turned to -52

It happens in most of campaigns, that pay per post, not only in ChipMixer. There is a significant dips of both postcounts and btc-paid in January of 2019, when bitcoin stood at its bottom range. Because theymos stepped in, I don't think bill gator will be tagged red for too long. He deserves more, not only because he contributed good things and have big net-effects in the forum; but aslo in the way theymos claimed that notable users whom started from bought accounts have chance to be recognised in the forum. Even theymos has never forced DT members leave or remove feedbacks on any case, such post of theymos might have good positive impacts on bill gator's current negative feedback. One interesting question pops up: Will bill gator be able to take his slot in Chip Mixer back? This is part of why account trading is strongly discouraged. Usually we won't even consider this excuse, since only admins can properly investigate it, it takes too much time, it's often too ambiguous, and you really shouldn't be trading accounts anyway. But especially for very veteran members, we do occasionally look into these claims and reconsider the matter based on them. This isn't the first case like this: there are a surprising number of notable members who originally bought their accounts.
After looking at the logs, I find it likely that this story is true, so it wasn't him personally who did the plagiarism. Trading accounts is strongly discouraged, but not against the rules. Therefore, the ban is removed.
This action may be controversial, and now I'll probably have everyone appealing based on "I bought the account from my neighbor!" (Which I'll nearly always reject...) But even though it is largely bill gator's fault, I just find it on the whole too unfair to treat him as though he did something when I'm looking at evidence showing that he didn't.

Tranth, you have to understand the forum politics, there's so much going on there. Bill has stepped on so many toes and unless theymos steps in (again) those red tagged aren't going anywhere beside they aren't false either. Have you heard the saying "Don't bit more than you can chew", Bill did just that and his past caught up with him.
