So I bought some alts a couple of days ago, Ripple, Nem, Decred, Maid. And as the bitcoin bubble has popped, every alt has felt it, down considerable amount in the past couple of days.
So my question to all like me who have invested at the wrong time is, are we not stuck with these alts for long? Because I don't see a climb up so quickly, so either we sell and lose, or we wait for an unknown length of time.
What are you going to do?

We all remember the prices a few days ago, so we know was can be achieved for sure by this or that currency. As this is true, it is quite easy to decide which coins to buy before they all recover.

I dont think it is a time for selling but as far as my investments in the altcoins are concerned, am still breaking even right now. Hope BTC will be holding the 2000$ mark and that will definitely bring up all the altcoins little by little.

Just consider the money as gone, then you have nothing to lose and everything to gain. You should only be playing with money you can afford to lose anyway. If you are gambling with money that you need in the short term, you must bail out now before it gets worse. Coming into the crypto in the first instance should come with its risk and the cryptic trading is also so funny in the sense that the price might even surge the next minute and someone might lose out even keeping long-term might either be good decision or worse decision. Either way when you get to the point where you cannot take the loss again you are free to opt out witthout any repercussions. Just count your losses and move on.

You are not alone. All we can do is to hold that coin.. Never attempt to sell it. It will give you more loss. Just wait for bitcoin to reach its previous price.. Wait for the altcoin to retrace its value. Then everything will work fine.

I just hold except those coins that has not been pumped or hyped yet.  I will likely sell those that had popped like NEM, and Ripple  to cut loses and buy at lower price.  Anyway that is just me but who knows maybe these coins will continue to rise.  But if you can afford to wait for longer time then hold them.

Firstly I plan to retain most my positions for the long run, but if I were to exit, I would move from smaller more speculative cryptocurrency to larger, more stable ones like Ethereum/BTC. Ethereum will have much less downside than some of the small cap ones with weak fundamentals. Also, I am not trying to exit before the top, I would let the bubble finish, and then take profit in the next weeks after that it is clear the bubble is finished (which we will know because the steady growth will have stopped).

That shitcoins you talk about are already >50% of cryptocurrency market. Don't know where did you get information that Monero is printed uncotrollably. Ripple is the only shitcoin he holds, I would sell that shit, and keep other ones which will most probably recover. Cryptocurrency as a whole will rise 10-fold in the next few years max.
