Loss almost 40%, should stop trading or not ?

All of us made similar mistakes. I wouldnt / didnt stop after loosing.
Try to learn when to buy. Do not buy around all time high points.

Don't be rushing to make the profit that you lost. Have patience and buy at the right time as suggested by the above mate. This will help you profit good and try to learn from mistakes and make yourself a perfect person into trading. Losing happens often and the one who finds way to overcome this becomes successful in trading.

Well he doesn't know on how to act correctly in this kind of situation since im so sure that he gets rattled for the result when certain coins he's holding to gets dump, But if he acts wise unto it and accumulate more when its on dumping stage well the big provabilities to gain well be achieved by him. If you're that impatient, then you'd lose a lot of money in trading and it would probably be better if you just stop. One of the most important factors for a good trade is patience. Like the example, for sure eth and xrp would still go higher though it may take time. Never sell below your capital dude. Wait if you have to but never sell below your capital

Take a break, don't completely stop trading. If you don't want to trade anymore for fear of losing money. Just do a long term hodl and earn it that way.

Don't buy high then sell low. Do only buy low and sell high. If you bought it low and it goes lower then HODL until it's high. Crypo is very volatile so chill and don't let your emotions control you. Pick and buy coins after doing at least a full day of research on it and actually believe the coin will work. This is how I trade and so far it's been working out very well for me. My only issue right now is that I sell too early I only 2x my profits when I can 4x it if I HODL longer.

I think it's very hard to do short term trading with e-coins. I think you should try to buy some (not margin trading, just buy them), and hold them.
Invest in solid coins like ether, or just buy some BTC if you can. Doing margin trade, or trying to get some fast profit in the short term is like gambling, at least for me. I probably don't have enough knowledge to do it, but at least buying coins and holding them is working for me right now, and I would get some decent profit if I sold them right now, but I will continue to hold.

It does not have to be margin trading to experience what op did as even with simple buy and hold, if you were unfortunate to have bought at a peak price and it crashed subsequently, the value of your asset can actually deteriorate badly depending on latest developments in the ecosystem. A way out is to never max out your fund with any buy or sell, be prepared for contingencies.

There are really people who panic once the price where coins are being bought goes down lower. Instead of waiting, they will sold it so the result is loss. Building volume take time and the process of rampage only happened when there is an ongoing panic buying.

While price are being lowered make sure that people have extra funds so that while they are still holding coins and waiting for it to bounce back, they are taking advantage of that price dip. As a result, it will be more quantity to hold and will give a noticeable profit once the price goes up again. It was already stated in the community a million* times that PATIENCE needs in trading.

Trading is a very special profession and trading successfully requires a unique set of skills. Op you are obviously a bad trader, hopefully you stopped before losing the rest of your coins.

Personally I do not prefer anyone to be marked as a bad trader just due to lack of skill set. Moreover trading is not a hard profession and I believe it will be possible for everyone when they will be ready to dedicate some of their precious time. I mean to say OP should not quit trading completely but it would be better to stop for the time being and must start learning skills immediately.

The price drop make newbie traders sell because they think it will not rise again, I have experienced this issue when I was a newbie trader, after that I discovered that I should not fear, because for the top marketcap coins, it is just a matter of time to recover their prices.

Just follow good traders on tradingview like EXCAVO, VerthaghOG or AaronX. Just check what these guys do and try to figure out whats the most +EV move.

Everyone has been through the sell in panic stage, I am definitely not an exception, but the main point of importance is that we understand what we did wrong. There are loads of people that keep making the same mistake as it is almost a never ending cycle for them. Panic sell, buy back, panic sell, buy back -- these people should stay far away from trading/investing for their own well being....
