It depends on how much loss you are willing to assume. Do you still want to continue with the current loss? I personally wouldn't continue if that was the loss that I'm making. There is always a bad day when it comes to trading. It's part of it. Cryptocurrency is so volatile. You can only manage it so much, but there will still be factors that is beyond your control.

The business depends upon risk only and if the business is dealing in cryptocurrency with such price volatility there is always a risk. Every time you are in not in a situation of gaining profits but also have to bear losses but having patience and faith will lead you to earn profits in future.Don't get panic but deal wisely and try not to loose again.

You won't loss money if you will not sell now, bitcoin is on pump so it's expected that altcoins will fall.
Just relax and trust on your decision, this pump will be over soon and we will see our altcoins back in action again, patience is the key so let's have it.

No you should not stop trading, that would be the worst decision that you will make. How would you regain those 40% loss if you quit trading, you need to win back that money. Losing momey is just a part of being a trader, now you have learned some lessons sp you would not do it again next time. Trading gives a lot of profit it just needs a lot of patience in holding some coins because not all coins are successful especially those coins that are not that famous. But as time goes by the value of it will rise. So in order to get that money back just continue trading

Trading altcoins with such a low patience level is never a good idea, you should keep calm, attentive and always keep an eye over the market while trading altcoins. What i have seen from your situation that you haven't make any strategy or threshold for your investment. The best strategy is to make your threshold of loss and profit, don't let your loss to pass 10% of your total investment.
To stop or continue is up to you because no one will ever going to take responsibility of your loss and profit, if you are confident that you can do it by following some important tips which i have given you above than go for it else leave it.
