Fyi, coins.ph have transaction fee s of now if you send lower than 200k satoshi its free but if you send more than 200k satoshi the transaction fee is more than 100k satoshi. Xapo now is for faucet ang games payout only. I used xapo before byt I stopped using this because I dont know why many people for sure not use xapo only little people can use this. I siggest the best wallet online is blockchain and coinbase.

Well for me the best bitcoin wallet is coins.ph it is our local online wallet here in the Philippines, You could easily sell and buy some bitcoin through it and you could cash out instantly and the best part is you could withdraw even if you don't have an ATM card, You could use the card less in their option for cashing out your bitcoin or Php.

Bold choice here...
FreeBitco.in
Why? Because we're the only bitcoin wallet paying interest, reliably every single day...4.08% annual percentage yield.
Why don't these other online wallets pay you for the risk you take in not owning the private keys? And the best part about interest is that while the rate stays the same the fiat value increases as the price of Bitcoin increases...which in fiat terms means you're earning even more!
The famous bitcoin faucet now can be a bitcoin wallet? Isn't it will give us more risk since your identity are anonymous? Online wallets, same with yours, don't giving us an access to our private keys but isn't is more safe,at least, if the online wallet we will used is regulated and a registered company which freebitco.in isn't? Am I missing something here? Or you are already a registered company? The famous bitcoin faucet now can be a bitcoin wallet? Indeed! And it's the only online wallet paying you for the risk you take to now own your private keys. Think about that. if the online wallet we will used is regulated and a registered company which freebitco.in isn't? According to whom?

There are just lots of faucets that using XAPO but it doesn't mean they are for that purposes only. XAPO is no different from Coinbase in terms of features. In terms of transactions fees to those exchanges mentioned in all the quoted post here in my post, coins.ph, Coinbase and XAPO don't charge fees if the transfer is between their premises. The charges are applied if you will transfer bitcoin to an outgoing address.

I feel from all the wallet, only the best blockchain, and the simplest to use. Well, although sometimes the transaction is so long, but, I think it is a good wallet from the first to the present.

I like XAPO. Vault is nice, even if somebody steal your password you have 48h to stop transfer of bitcoins. Support can be better.

I recommend bitcoin-core itself is good. You have complete control for your bitcoins. For web related, you can check coinbase.
I had a lot of problems with core updating. It's extremely slow now and takes many hours to download the whole chain and has a tendency to crash while downloading, forget everything it has got to that point, and start again. I had to do it 3 times once, because i lost power for a second, my PC had to reset and of course I had to start again. I was like 10 hours into it when that happened. I recommend a light wallet like Electrum. I just started hearing about desktop wallets of recent. I have been using block chain for a while now, with some few transactions without glitches. Nevertheless, from what I have been reading so far since I joined this forum, it isn't a good idea using Web wallets for security reasons. What are then the pros and cons of lightweight and heavyweight desktop wallets? what are the differences with respect to Web wallet? which server keeps your coin balance. I have checked online for answers but I couldn't understand much being a lame man. I won't mind simple and practical answers.

Yeah, most of the users here at least have a single wallet in the blockchain.info, and I too have always felt this to be the best wallet as well has the simple interface. With this even a first time user can use it easily without much complications.

Can't say there are any best bitcoin wallet since they're optimized for different usage or devices, but here's wallet that i think it's great : 1. Mobile wallet : Mycelium 2. SPV Desktop wallet : Electrum 3. Desktop wallet : Bitcoin Core
I don't have any hardware wallet, so i don't know what's the best hardware wallet and i can't say any online bitcoin wallet is the best bitcoin wallet, especially centralized ones.
There is no perfect wallet. There are some things that you need to think about. Do you want the whole block chain on your PC? There are online wallets, wallets that require the entire block chain to download and those that do not. If you do not have a reason for using the block chain, then do not go with that as it will only slow you down.

If you use a software wallet, make sure that you make a back up of the wallet.dat, record your 12 word phrase and keep both of those safe. Anything that ever happens to the computer and especially the hard drive could mean the permanent loss of your coins and that is forever, no one, not even Satoshi himself could get them back. Care should be taken with desktop wallets keys and then you are good to go.

Blockchain gone "south"? it's as good as it used to be IMO and even private keys can be obtained from the secret phrase+ electrum.... Anyway my favorite online wallet is blockchain of course, my favorite desktop wallets are both electrum for quick tx's and Armory as a form of cold storage IMO.

Pleasantly surprised that the electrum wallet is still popular. I use Electrum, blockchain and a couple of exchanges to" play" with coins.

Hi,
Please let's recommend the best bitcoin wallet here, since blockchain has gone south! nobody seem to understand the platform anymore...
I recommend MyCelium Bitcoin Wallet
What's yours?
I don't really like software wallets as I don't think they are that safe. I prefer a hardware wallet like a trezor or a paper wallet if you want the best amount of safety.

There is no best or worst (except online wallets which you should avoid for obvious reasons) but what fits you better. If you want something simple and easy to use I recommend Electrum, if you are going to store a big amount of BTC and need more safety go for a hardware wallet, Ledger Nano and Nano s are both very good and worth their money.

For a Filipino like me, coins.ph is the only wallet that suits for any bitcoin users in Philippines, it converts bitcoin into fiat then can withdraw it at atm even without a card, and most of all supported by many products and companies.
That is a good choice to use in a daily basis for payments and otber stuff like recharging your phone. But you shouldn't store all your Bitcoins in a online wallet because there is always the risk of losing all your coins in case of a security breach. I suggest you to leave low amounts of BTC to spend when you need, and store the majority of your coins in a wallet like Electrum or Mycelium just for safety. Point taken, having a different addresses will make my coins more secure, one of the moderator of this forum already told me that there is a possibility of web wallets closing down for a certain reasons, every web wallets are dangerous tho. this coins.ph has a good feature of directly converting BTC into Peso or Peso into BTC and cashing out real money with so much options. But I gues there are some laws that prohibited large amount of money to avoid money laundering, I guess. I do hope there is something similar with in USD.

That is why the veteran people here at Bitcoin community always say diversify. You store your Bitcoin in a hardware wallet which is very secure and if you ever want it to spend or be able to use it in different ways you may consider storing small amount of Bitcoin in a hot wallet. In this way, you'll be in safe side or should I say secure yourself against this possibilities that might breakout without knowing beforehand.
