I think this can be an interesting project. Although this project relies for 100% of the security of the data (which they are probably are aware of themselves).
However the valuation of your company seems high to me. What makes you think the company / the project is worth 100 million USD? (1B tokens x 0.10 USD)
The Company will conduct a public sale of Tokens (the “Crowdsale”), which will begin at 6:00 am PDT (1:00 pm UTC) on June 21st, 2017 (the “Launch Date”) and end at 6:00 am PDT (1:00 pm UTC) on June 28th, 2017 (the “Crowdsale End Date”) or when $11,000,000 U.S. Dollar (“USD”) worth of Tokens (i.e. 110 million Tokens) has been sold, whichever is earlier. The ICO is only to raise 11 million USD right? Seems acceptable. Marketcap will be 100 MIO $ then https://steemit.com/cryptocurrency/@christbkk/status-im-is-on-next-civic-ico-and-here-is-why-i-pass-on-it Just for my understanding then. The ICO is planned to raise 11 million USD. This is for 110 million tokens. What will happen with the other 890 million tokens? If these are still in use and can still be sold (also if this will be in a later stage) than this will have an impact on the market again. So if the total supply of 1B coins can be distributed now or in the future this will have an impact on the price. That's why I calculate it as the toal supply valuation is 100 million. If the remaining tokens will never be sold (or burned) than indeed my statement was incorrect.

Are there any plans to delay this ICO due to the huge backlogs and delays of the ETH Network right now? I've tried to consolidate funds into a single wallet and none of the transactions are even broadcast yet after an hour of waiting. This feels like it is going to take away from ICO in a large way.

Are you assuming this or did you receive a confirmation? Read page 15 of the white paper: Civic users who own CVC may be able to use their CVC to purschase existing services directly from civic.

I think they are only explaining that "trading is not the scope" that is very different from "you can't trade CVC" Ofc you can send me your tokens and i will send you some btc/eth for it. But the thing is that CVC will not be listed on exchanges. Prety sure that 80 % is not aware of this.

I planned to invest in this. But I am not able to do so, because I just have a 5.1.1 Android phone. One the one hand side this is bad for me - but on the other hand side it shows that CIVIC could have some problems going mainstream. It should be possible to have an app which also runs on older phones.

Or if you have money to invest... how about you invest in buying a newer phone? Lol I am just kidding. You do raise a good point. There are a lot of older devices out there.
