Every time a block is mined, a certain amount of BTC (called the subsidy) is created out of thin air and given to the miner. The subsidy halves every four years and will reach 0 in about 130 years.

Hi Pajak666,

We just opened our store on Friday (May 3rd) and we've been shipping orders every day since! Most of our customers should be receiving their product now as it usually takes 4-6 business days for US delivery from Vancouver, Canada.

To our customers: please chime in if you've ordered from us and let us know how everything is! Thanks!

Just out of curiosity, do they support pci 3.0? Or does it just go off of what ever the board supports?

I see you are sold out, are you still expecting new stock on May 14th? Also, do you add the Molex connector on yourself, or do you get it from your supplier with it pre-soldered on?

The cables come with the molex from the manufacturer pre-soldered on.

And yes, the 1x-16x are just in transit right now from the manufacturer and should be here on the 14th. The 16x-16x adapters almost done production and should be here the week after!  Cheesy

That's great Jayeeyee!
We've just had an overwhelming response to our web store from the crypto-community but will be restocking our 1x-16x risers tomorrow and 16x-16x next week.

If you PM me your order number I can follow up and make sure everything gets shipped out in a timely manner.

Thanks!

Just received an e-mail update from HRS with huge headers stating "Your order has been completed and shipped".  However, when I log into my HRS account, it shows the item as "Backordered".  Glitch/bug?  Or did it really get shipped?  I was under the assumption 1x/16x won't be available till today and 16x/16x won't be in-stock until May 24th, the earliest.

P.S - Will tracking be available?

Hey Jayeeyee!

Yes, your order was indeed shipped a couple hours ago! We received a large shipment of 1x-16x risers and a small batch of the 16x-16x risers so we were able to fulfil some of the 16x-16x backorders.

Tracking is only available for Xpresspost or faster at the moment, but we are working on revamping our logistics system. Very soon we'll be implementing faster shipping and tracked parcels for everyone!  Cheesy

Hey everyone!

After getting feedback from our customers we've just added dual power supply connectors to our store!

They use two standard 24 pin ATX connectors for connecting power supplies for super-mega-hash-rate-rigs!

Check'em out here: Dual Power Supply Adapter Cable for 24 pin ATX

Hi Kinda obvious question but can this be used to power VGA and videos card or works like Li An which only powers the mobo.....??

Also again an obvious question but bare with me ...that can it be used with two different kinda PSU , brand wise ..also can the master PSU be less than watt than the salve PSU?Huh

Thanks.

I think that cable just switches on/off your secondary PSU, so you don't have to use the paperclip trick. You can power your vgas, extenders, other hardwares with your secondary psu.

I would assume (hope) this is how it works.  Otherwise, if you are putting twice as much amperage through the 24-pin ATX connector, it will melt for sure...

You see, only two cables go to the 2nd PSU. It works like the paperclip trick, but it is much safer and more convenient. You can use any ATX PSU as a secondary PSU.

Yes, definitely! Your order will be shipped out as per the shipping date when your order placed!

It's just our manufacturer is having trouble keeping up with our production demands so I'm looking at bringing in another manufacturer as well. Hopefully we'll have production sorted soon!

I just got my cable - and great fast delivery!

A couple questions (as I couldn't get the card to be recognized):

1.  I am looking at the end that plugs into the card and (with the side that has the solder points to the right) the three left-most pins from the card are not soldered down - is this accurate?

2.  There looks to be three pins that have solder on them to the far left, but nothing is connected

You can kinda see what I am talking about here - http://coinchoose.com/img/pins.JPG

Thanks sal002!

Those pins don't need to be soldered as they're not connected to anything. If you peel back the blue tape you should be able to see that the PCB lines for the disconnected pins don't connect to the extender ribbon.

Here's a few quick shots that I took with one of the risers minus the tape off one of my rigs.
http://imgur.com/a/Pc1cW

A few troubleshooting tips:
Do you have another 1x-16x riser that you can try on the same slot?
Have you tried plugging the 1x riser into a 16x slot on the mobo?
Does the same video card work in a 16x slot without any risers?

FYI some motherboards require a short pin for it to detect the full length card on a 1x slot but try the basic troubleshooting steps first.

Let me know if you want to arrange a Skype call to troubleshoot! Just PM me your Skype.

Alfred

Even the pins to the far left in your second pic?  There is solder there, but nothing is connected (looks like there might have been a pin there as I can see something in the connector but it might have broke off as nothing is there and nothing is soldered except some left over solder).  I don't have another rise, the card works in the 16x slot and I also tried plugging the riser into the 16x slot and card was still not recognized.

It is a really simple cable that switches a secondary PSU on. It does not affect performance at all.

Hey sal002,

The pins at the end aren't required either because they are not being used for anything, its only utilized in full length 16x-16x risers. The PCB trails from these pins shouldn't connect to anything either.

You'll probably need to short the PCI-E detection pins on your motherboard as this is usually a motherboard dependent requirement.

Here's a great write up that Marc Bevand did awhile back on how to do this.

Please let me know if you have any other questions or would like to do a quick IM chat session to troubleshoot!

Hi Grim!

Got your order on the web store and BTC was confirmed by the store yesterday. I'll resend the order confirmation email again through the web store.
Maybe it went into your junk mail folder, it tends to happen sometimes.

Let me know if you get it! Thanks!

You were right! Thanks!

Please do not forget to remember those who gave the ultimate today my friends. If you know one, call their family and say thank you. At least send an email or FB shout out. I just placed an order for 6 and truly look forward to receiving them.

Hmm... that's strange... The only time it would cancel an order is if BTC payment was not submitted before the one hour deadline in the payment details when it shows you the BTC payment address.

Can you PM me your order number and I can check it out on our end here?

Thanks!

Hey Scrappy Do,

I had a look through the web store's logs, our BTC logs and found the root cause of the issue.

The plugin that we use to process our BTC payments on the web store utilizes the blockchain API to verify payments to the BTC addresses generated by the web store. It wasn't able to connect to the blockchain API around the time the order was placed. It then cancelled the order because it wasn't able to verify that the payment was made within the 1 hour time frame provided. I also confirmed on our end here that we received your BTC payment at roughly 6PM PST on Monday.

To fix this I've updated the BTC plugin code so it no longer automatically cancels orders and instead will require an administrator to do so.

Your order was placed with regular shipping of 4-6 business days but I'll be upgrading it at no extra charge so you'll be receiving it earlier than the original estimate. I'll also be refunding 75% of your order as well for the inconvenience and helping us find this technical issue. Please let me know if you'd like this sent back address you paid with.

We've been in business for a month now, shipped over 1000 orders and are continually finding ways to improve our technical systems and quality of service for our customers.

Thank you, Scrappy Do. Let me know if you have any questions or need anything else.

I must apologize for earlier doubting this company. As they are up an coming I never figured they could blast it out as well as they have.

First off my order had an issue and it wasn't my fault. Alfred not only took care of it, he expedited shipping and offered a 75% refund for the error.

I sent a pm and said no worries, I hate the error as well and really need those cables but I want to place another order and forget the 75% just give me half off my next order (of same value) as I knew what I needed then. My next order was of equal value.

He responded with a custom coupon code that gave me 50% off my next order, and INSISTED I send him an address to refund the 75% of the first order. Not only did I get the 50% off my second order, but they sent a 75% refund on the first order to me. WOW

Cables came in today, They are beautiful. 7950's gained hash rate by merely not relying on the MB. Hell I even ordered 3 more 7950's 15 mins ago. GPU forever!

If you want a cable to perform and have assurance that they will take care of you ... PLEASE order from them. I promise you I will order again. Smiley

I would say they are 19cm? long... I read somewhere that anything greater than 30cm's for a riser cable would cause problems with the card. Infact there is another thread on here that talks about this. Someone is offering to sell 30cm riser cables and was asking if there is any interest. Here is the link to the discussion... Clicky!

Hi Jacob,

So sorry for the delay. The manufacturer hasn't been able to keep up with the demand for the 16x-16x risers due to supply issues. However we currently have a shipment in transit and we're expecting them to arrive on either Friday or Monday this week.

I have the rest of your order packed and ready to ship. If you like I can do a split shipment for you, this way you start hashing sooner and we can ship the 16x-16x immediately after they arrive this week.  Smiley

Please let me know if you'd like to go ahead with the split or if you have any questions about this. Thanks!

Thank you Scrappy and the bitcointalk community!

I know we've had a few issues with supplying this overwhelming demand (16x-16x risers specifically) but we have the best intentions of resolving this ASAP. We have several large orders coming in from a couple manufacturers this week and next which will resolve all of our supply issues.

If anyone has any questions or concerns feel free to send me a PM or email: alfred@hashrateproducts.com

We're very grateful for the support from everyone and excited to be part of the crypto-community! Everything was made possible by our superstar customers!

Ordered 2  1x-16x powered risers in the eve on May 30th.  Got them today (June 5th).  Paid with BTC, and didn't get a confirmation email so I sent off a note and they quickly got back to me saying everything was all set and they would ship out in the AM.  Haven't hooked up the cables yet but they look nice in the static bags.

/edit  They shipped from outside Vancouver, Canada and delivered to Utah, USA.
/edit2 Hooked up and hashing fine for 5 days straight.

Ordered 6x 1x->16x powered risers.

Delivered in Europe a little more than a week later: perfectly fine delay considered it was a basic delivery.

Thanks for the feedback, PCMiner.  Smiley

Let me know if you have any questions or need any assistance with getting them hooked up!

Ok so I just got my shipment of risers, I installed a new card using one of the 1x risers I ordered no problem, but when I went to extend the 3 currently installed cards using the 16x risers, they wouldn't work, I keep getting BSOD during the windows load process.  All 4 cards are currently working fine and hashing at expected rates in the current configuration, all I'm trying to do is extend the 16x cards up so I can optimize cooling and install 3 additional cards.

Am I missing anything obvious?  I got the 1x to work fine...

Using a MSI Z77A-GD65 mobo, Celeron G1610 CPU, 8MB ram, Win 7-64, catalyst 12.8 with 2.5 SDK to optimize for 5x cards.

5850 is installed in the closest 16x spot nearest the CPU directly onto the mobo, 5870 installed in the other 2 16x slots directly onto the mobo, 5870 installed using a 1x riser in the slot between the 1st 16x and the riser.  I have tried rising the installed cards with 2 different 16x extenders with no luck, BSOD every time.

Here is a picture.

Hey gnix72,

Have you tried using just one card? For example removing all of your GPUs then testing one of them with a 16x-16x riser.

I'm out of town on vacation, I can give that a shot when I get back, but I don't see how that will fix my overall problem.  My objective is to get 6 cards/8 GPUs running off this mobo (two 5970) so I will need all 6 cards raised up, 3 via 1x and 3 via 16x.  I think I'll get some unpowered 16x risers to see if that will help.  The 1x powered risers were working just fine, it's only the 16x powered risers that I can't get to work.  Unfortunately due to slot configuration the most I can get is 4 cards in the system unless I can raise up the 16x slots.

Also, I have a few standalone cases that I need your extra long risers for.

I seem to be the only person having this specific problem, so I'm not really sure what I'm doing wrong.

Hi gnix!

I got your email also. If you try just a single card you can try to narrow down the root cause to either an issue with the riser or something else such as too many cards on a PSU or etc.

Feel free to send me another email to let me know how everything goes!

Thanks!

Yep, thanks for being so responsive.  I was trying to get as many installed as possible before my 10 day vacation, didn't want to miss out on all those hashes, so I was in a frenzy before I left.  I'll post an update once I get it all worked out, I should have adequate troubleshooting time once I'm back home on Wed or so.

Hi dethdeks!

It's $4.00 flat rate shipping (2-7 business days) throughout Canada regardless of how many cables you have in your order. Realistically it should probably be 2-4 business days for you since you're just one province over.

We also have shipping options for 1-2 business days and 1 business day.

All of these options should be available when you check out your shopping cart.

Please let me know if you have any other questions or need anything else. Thanks!

Ok, I'm totally up and running now as you can see here:

https://i.imgur.com/n3Vs1Xx.jpg

Overall, I think it was probably a driver version, I wiped all the 12.5 drivers I was using and went with 11.12 clean install and the BSODs mostly stopped.  Here is a top down view that shows all the extenders and the types I ended up using.

https://i.imgur.com/RkScIqm.jpg

If I number the slots from left to right in this picture as 1234567, the first thing I tried was 1x riser ONLY in every slot.  The 1x riser did not work in slots 1 and 3 (both 16x slots) alone, I know others said they got it to work with this mobo, but I could not.  I did not try presence pins, that was going to be a last resort tactic only.

I was able to make 1x risers work in every other slot though, including the 16x slot closest to the CPU (#6 in the picture above).

So that meant I only had to get the 16x risers to work.  I tried the same card in both slots 1 and 3 with the 16x riser, and for some reason it would only work in slot 3, the device manager/cgminer/GPU-Z did not even see the card when installed in slot 1, even when there were only 2 other cards installed in the system, so I don't know if I got a bum slot there or what, I know the GPU and riser worked, because they worked in slot 3.

Anyway, I met my objective, 6 cards/8GPU all working.  I ended up using 5 1x-16x risers and 1 16x-16x riser.  As you can see the length was really important for the cards that were plugged in farthest from the board, I was at the very edge of the possible even with the 30cm hashrate connectors.

I'm pretty sure I don't need all of these to be powered, but I couldn't find any unpowered risers that were long enough, and all of the hashrate store risers were plenty long so it didn't matter.

I do think that the molex connectors are a pain to hook up, I wish there were some way to make that connection a little easier, you have to fidgit with it for some time, then you have to worry about getting the next molex in (power supply ports are a premium in these rigs) and then making every thing fit and not get tangled.

But overall, I'm very happy and now I have a pattern for how to do my 2nd 5xxx rig, which is going to go on the other side of this same box...just in time for the winter.

Oh in case you were curious, cards left to right were slot 2: MSI 5870, slot 3: ATI 5870, slot 4: ATI 5970, slot 5: ATI 5970, slot 6: HIS 5850, slot 7: ATI 5870.  For some reason the MSI 5870 runs about 5C hotter than the ATI and gets ~400kH instead of ~420 like the ATI 5870, all the 5870 have 1600 shaders so I'm not really sure why, also that order doesn't match the cgminer order, which I'm sure you can figure out knowing the cards like you all do.

That's great news that you got your rig up! I like your case design, do you have any more pics of it?

Also you should be able to run some of the powered risers without the molex plugged in. =)

Thanks again!

The USB Miners still looking to go out on the 10th?   Interested to see how they compare to Icefury's.  Can these be overclocked?  after installing a heatsink of course.

Thanks,
D

The USB Miners still looking to go out on the 10th?   Interested to see how they compare to Icefury's.  Can these be overclocked?  after installing a heatsink of course.

Thanks,
D

Hey, no they won't go out on the 10th. We got a little over zealous there. The factory will be shipping to us on or before the 10th and they will go out right away, 17th at the latest. That is for the first batch and they are selling out. We will have another batch coming in on the 24th.

Just a word of advice.
Nobody serious about bitcoin mining will buy this product and make a ROI.
The product is fine, but your asking price is massive. I managed to get antminer U1s for £35 each plus shipping, plus they are overclock able to 2.2GH/s the same.

I own a few ice fury sticks and 45 antminers  .   your product is over priced when compared to an antminer.  and i think your product will overheat without active cooling .  I don't say that lightly as ice fury sticks red fury sticks blue fury sticks all have big heat sinks. and they are all pretty warm to the touch.

My ant miner sticks at oc'ed to 2gh I purchased 105 of them at about 50 usd each and sold around 60 of them on ebay.

I can buy them right now at about 56 usd each (due to btc price jump)      so 6 of them  6 x 56  = 336 usd and they will give me about 11.6gh

5 of your sticks are 5 x 90 = 450  and I get about 11 gh      plus the lack of heatsink makes me think they will be really hot.  and I am not sure they over clock like the ice fury does.

oh the ant miners do not pull much power to get to 2 gh so you can load your hubs up and not kill them off.

Having owned every asic usb stick with a single chip  the ant miner is the absolute price king.  in power + price + size   all other builders of sticks will need to quit building their sticks  at their current price points .    you stick needs to be about  75 usd not 90  to compete against an ant miner that is selling for 56 usd.

While I think his price may be a tad high, I would never tell him what to sell his product for.   It's his choice and maybe he will lower them if they are not selling.

I'd appreciate it if you could explain why your prices are so high.

One can currently get an Antminer U1 for ~0.07 BTC. They can be overclocked to 2.2GH/s and they work well with a fan.

How is it that you are charging in the hundreds of dollars fora GH/s I can get with 80$!

Thanks

I just ordered four.  Do the USB risers come with a molex power extension cord, or do you need to buy one separately?  Not many people will be able to stretch their PSU molex cables to reach several cards without them.

You should probably include them, or sell them separately on your site if they don't come with them.

Great suggestion, they don't come with an extension cord, only the old model came with the sata power cable. We'll definitely look into stocking the extensions. Do you prefer to have a sata power extension or a 4 pin molex extension?

Also the new model that we stock has three capacitors vs the 2 on the old one.

Thanks!

I believe the SATA power cables are only rated for 54 watts, while the molex power cables are rated for over 100.  I know that modern cards supposedly don't draw more than 25w from the PCI slot, but most people would probably prefer the molex just in case it decides to do so.

If someone is running an overclocked 290x or something, there's no telling what will happen.

Does anyone have experience with the 60cm USB risers on high wattage cards 280x, 290's??

The extra length would really help my setup, but I'm concerned about not having enough wattage or something not working correctly. I watched a few youtube channels where the builds had issuees with USB risers on high wattage cards.

questions:
Are these USB3 male A to male A cables? If so, will any USB3 (male A to male A) cable work? I didnt see it specified anywhere.
Is 60cm the max distance without interference/hash loss? I've seen a few risers sold with 100cm USB3 cables and I know you can buy 5foot + USB3 cables. Will longer cables lower hashrate?

Does anyone have experience with the 60cm USB risers on high wattage cards 280x, 290's??

The extra length would really help my setup, but I'm concerned about not having enough wattage or something not working correctly. I watched a few youtube channels where the builds had issuees with USB risers on high wattage cards.

UPDATE: Will any USB3 cable work? Is 60cm the max distance without interference/hash loss? I've seen a few risers with 100cm USB3 cables but again, I haven't seen many reviews on them.

Hey VR,

We just recommend using the USB cable that comes with it because this is how the manufacturer intended for it to be used with the specific PCB.

I'm not really sure what sort of issues other brands might have but I know from the thousands that we've shipped we haven't had any issues. A large number of customers are using these with their 290x's and 7990's without any issues.

Let me know if you have any other questions. Thanks!

Wow, ridiculously fast reply man.

Do you plan on stocking other mining supplies at any point? Are you going to expand your product lines? Have you had much interest in other mining products?

I'd really love a 100cm USB powerd riser (I have limited space in my apartment and I have to get creative/efficient with my rigs). I'd much rather order from you than other bootleg looking sites with no bitcointalk rep.

Cheers,

The manufacturer was able to confirm that we can use 1M long USB 3.0 cables with the current batch of USB risers.  Smiley

This is great news!  Do you plan on selling any with 100cm USB cables?  If not now worries, I may still order from you and get a 100cm USB cable for the extra length if needed.

Thanks again!

Followup question:
Is anyone running these in a more than 4 GPU configuration? If so how was the setup/install? Any issues? I've heard most of the people running 6 GPU boards (Mining specific mobo's) suggest using non-powered risers.  Can they be used without the additional molex power?

Yes, we definitely are. The 100cm risers are just in the works at the moment but no firm ETA yet. The 60cm risers are available for immediate shipping, check your PMs.  Smiley

These risers will work no problem in a 4+ GPU rig, but ultimately it depends on your motherboard because I know some mobos by design won't support cards in all slots with any type of riser. These have to be used with the molex or sata power because the USB cable only carries data (no power).

Let me know if you have any other questions. Thanks!

Seller seem to be AWOL. Not replying to business contacts, didn't even receive the order confirmation from the website.
