I would go with with Golem for now because They've already proven themselves although It's still in Alpha—Beta. Sonm which pose Itself as a superior Project when compared to Golem  but It is yet to be launch. Sonm may have an advanced technology powering their Fog supercomputer Project, but Golem beats it since It's live. I invested in Golem and I'd invest Sonm too.

To be honest I'm hearing for the first time about SONM, and from the table that @helloge showed seems that there are many good features comparing to Golem.

How have they think to implement SONM in game servers? Players can earn money while playing or it will be used only for in the game coins/packages as a form of payment like Paypal?

They idea seems to be good but since it is not yet launched then better stay with Golem or with none of them until the SONM gets released for the public.

Looks impressive, but at this stage, it's all fantasy. I could promise some super-ultra-bitcoin-and-ethereum-killer and try to collect funds with it. Actually developing it will be the hard part.

I'm not saying that the SONM guys are frauds or try to scam people, it's quite possible, that they believe with enough funding, they will be able to develop what they plan, but in my eyes, there is a big chance, that at some point, they and the community will realize that they bit off more than they could chew. Then what?

Yes there is no reason that one is preferred over other.Both are good projects.Golem is almost half way while sonm just started.

We don't know the competition between one is already completed its ICO with in days and the other one completely new with more features. Till now we don't know bitcoin will reach to this position but there are chances for both of these coins to make significant in the market.

i have seen more of SONM on the forum through their signature campaigns than GNT but surprisingly its seems GNT was actually unveiled to the forum earlier which gave the project a head start but I can't tear the two apart because both are good massive projects and I like the ideas behind them with very similar use of their super computers

Maybe you are right, because SONM is still in the process of collecting ICO funds, so I also do not know the development in the market later, I think this is very different from GNT because GNT has long been on the market so I can see. In its development is good for investment and trade

OP one more thing. I see now that many of us SONM supporters answered in this thread. Now you may expect this and discard our opinions as biased. However bear in mind that SONM has competition in the face of Golem and iEx and opinnions against SONM might be coming from their supporters, and be just as biased if not more. What I'm trying to say is you should try to do your own research if you can. It's the only way you can be confident in what you find out.

SONM ICO is on the 15th this month. I think there's plenty of time for you to make up your mind about the project and invest if you find it interesting. Good luck!

I can guess that the price for SONM will be higher in the first weeks than the price of GNT, that after many weeks still low and without any big increases. But other than that I like and feel that SONM project will be bigger than GNT, for all their new features, more than GNT.

At first glance SONM seems to be the most ambitious. The SONM team seems to know this though and have quite a realistic development roadmap (the team seems rather strong as well). The alpha release coincides with the ICO, so I'll probably withhold complete judgement until news of functioning of the alpha. For the time being, GNT seems a bit of a safer bet but in only a few days we should be able to grasp the potential growth of SONM.

Both are good project and almost same concept with minor differences in my opinion. GNT already started being traded in exchanges while SONM ICO's are ending soon. SONM's community are growing also, same with GNT as you can see on its BUY support. Both are being supported by community in my opinion.

I'll speak on my experience with Golem.

I've had a small amount of my portfolio dedicated to Golem for roughly four months, and I have lost money. I am still holding because Golem seems to be one of the few projects that does not care much for marketing, which to me is a plus. Their dev team is constantly working towards Golem Brass, and last I checked (~10 days ago) their project was at 83% completion.

Seeing a project like this not really care much for marketing, and channeling all of their resources towards development of a project is what is important to me as an investor.

Sonm is better than GNT and it has potential to x10 its price. THerefore, keep buying SNM and you will be rich in the future. GNT is good but the process is very slow. It may cost more time to become rich with gnt. However, if you like GNT, just buy it. Both of them are good and they will not make holders poorer

Both may succeed but I think an outside pick may do better. A project named XEL (elastic) and they have the same ideas but with less marketcap. More room for growth, more upside potential in my opinion.

There are going to be some interesting market dynamics once both are up and running.

Those selling their computing power will naturally gravitate towards whichever service offers the highest compensation (sort of like PoW miners switching between coins to maximize their return on electricity). At the same time, those buying that computation power will go to the service offering the cheapest rates. You're going to get some pretty crazy whipsaw effect as the market sorts things out, as you'll have situations where one service has all the sellers but none of the buyers and vice/versa.

But in the very long run, they will probably both be successful.
