SONM Versus Amazon

Perhaps one day Amazon Cloud or Google Drive will use SONM tokens?
 
Buyers of computing power get more cost-efficient solutions than cloud services (Amazon, Microsoft, Google Cloud, Digital Ocean etc.) can offer.

Decentralizing computer power via fog computing instead of a cloud structure, so there is no more need to pay in advance for private and monopolized cloud computing. Since SONM is fully decentralized, there is no single authority that regulates computing resource distribution.
 
SONM is a decentralized computing system, so you can rent your computer power in the same way Google or Amazon does.

I might be wrong, but I believe SONM serves a different customer base than virtual slices.  Since SONM uses distributed computing, I believe it would need to reach out to a background service running on the computers and process data like BOINC or Backburner, rather than logging into and setting up a VM.  Both are of value, and serve different markets.

Sonm can overthrow both of them. People think google and amazon have first movers advantage, which is true, but so did myspace and facebook basically destroyed them

It won't be one king to rule them all, some people will prefer the king, others will prefer the prince, ... the market is growing faster every single day, Sonm won't be able to accomodate everything, just like facebook isn't the only social medium. It's the most dominant one, sure, but not the only one

Until now amazon has not responded to the growing rumors. I heard last month amazon will release payment via bitcoin. but it did not happen.

SONM is a good project, but they have some problems as far as I see the reality. Amazon won't be likely to make partnership with these projecs. But the project itself is good enough.

When they release their network in august next year they might see it in a different light

Maybe who knows. This project decreased below ico price but it was really not important for me because sonm is really one of the good projects now, maybe the best one. I am not tech person but I can really see it.

I have a lot of tech friends, with years of experience, who say they hadn't even considered fog tech like somn's a reality before 2020.
