The company is based out of Los Angeles, and focuses on helping people open cryptocurrency-focused retirement funds. Also added Ethereum and Bitcoin Cash to include the top four cryptocurrencies.

I agree. LTC snuck under the radar for many years with a steady price, and it's showing it's here to stay with this positive news.

LTC is a much-improved version of bitcoin.

I have to agree on this, although some people may say that the role is actually taken by BCC. I'd say Litecoin it's like a cheaper and steadier version of BTC and BCC

Article that goes a little further in explaining the mainnet testing of Atomic swaps this week. This was accomplished without using the lightning network; but, was proof of concept without using testnets. Litecoin was traded to bitcoin, vertcoin and decred.

BitPrime now allows New Zealanders to purchase LTC directly with their dollars. Historically to buy various alts a person need to buy bitcoin with their fiat first and then use the newly purchased BTC to purchase the alt resulting in paying fees twice. It's good to see another exchange allowing direct fiat to LTC transactions and eliminating the need of a BTC purchase.

One benefit of LTC is the low transaction fees and near universal acceptance. You will notice that many people seeking donations or just transferring value will opt for LTC vs BTC because of the cost.
