sorry guys, I miss a 0 earlier in the thread saying there will be only 50m coins.

About 12 M CHF = about 12 MUSD

1ETH = about 300 USD

12 000 000 / 300 = 40 000 ETH to be raised

1ETH = 10 000 SNT

40 000 * 10 000 = 400 M SNT

If price of ETH goes to 250 USD then 480 M SNT

If price of ETH goes to 350 USD then 340 M SNT

Then you need to factor in the fact that the 12M CHF is just the first ceiling, followed by a hidden ceiling. Maybe that is 24M CHF. Also the coins being sold only represent 41%, so you then need to multiply by 2.5. If the hidden ceiling is 24M CHF (could be higher or lower), then at current ETH price of $374, the total number of coins is roughly 65000 ETH x 10000 SNT * 2.5 = 1.6 Billion coins. Market cap at launch $60 million.

I believe US Citizens (such as myself) are barred from most ICO's because they would technically qualify as an unregistered security. I have several friends who are talking about using a VPN to partake in this ICO anyways - but I am skeptical.

I have one friend who believes that Status only makes contributors certify they are not US Citizens in order to cover themselves legally, and that they would not pursue action if they discovered someone had lied about this.

My gut tells me that they would inevitably discover where you are, especially if/when you go to cash out (which obviously is the endgame here) and could easily force you to forfeit your tokens at that point.

Any thoughts?

I totally agree with you dear. The developer and marketer team must be explicit with their linkedin profiles. And smart contract ceiling must be announced officially for the project.

Non US citizen can then just use a proxy, did it with Humaniq and it worked perfect! Can you use Myetherwallet in combinationn w/ nano ledger to send/receive?

I read over the instructions on the Status site, but I'm confused where they send your SNT tokens to? I understand we send them ETH via wallet like MyEtherWallet, but where do they send the SNT to?
