My ETH is gone from MEW. Does this mean I got in, or will the ETH be returned to MEW?

I am so disappointed in myself rn, can someone please try to cheer me up and tell me that they've lost eth trying to get into an ICO before? It was a difficult time getting in and I lost focus, I don't know how I got tricked :/ I'm quite unhappy about the situation, it's "only" a couple eth but i feel devastated. someone tell me a horror story
how did you lose your eth?

Is there anyone that knows a little more about how Ethereum works? Will the transactions that say "Unable to locate Transaction entry" maybe still go through or are they lost in the ether?
It can appear later, but there's no guarantee. The network is flooded with lots of transactions above 50Gwei which miners take first, but lately being rejected by the contact.

Don't forget ETH is not immutable like BTC so they can reverse transactions whenever the fuck they want.

Your transaction is in the queue and will likely be there for a while. The transactions that did go through are those that contributed heavily during the bug-fixing 'event' since they apparently got some kind of a pass that allowed them to guarantee participation. That was all published on the blog way in advance. I know people around here don't actually read up before investing which is what causes this mess. All of the transactions that are being rejected have faulty instructions in them. The majority have more than 50 Gwei as their gas price (somehow basically everyone uses 57 Gwei which is too much). Others use less than 200000 gas which causes their TX's to run out of gas during the contract execution. All of these faulty transactions are simply choking the network which is why no that set the right parameters is able to contribute. (50 Gwei and 200000 gas) TLDR: If people actually knew what they were doing we wouldn't be in such a mess every time an ICO happens.

How do we check how much they have received so far so I can see if the iCO is over?

So all the talk about not letting whales dominate this ICO was bullshit? They just white listed some preferred addresses? This ICO is a complete joke and a super frustrating experience. Kind of sad and also kind of funny. It would be amazing if this ICO would crash Ethereums evaluation.

Fuck this ICO. walking away for 10 hours. by then i expect ANSWERS.
Isn't every ICO like this? At least MEW didn't crash during this one. Mona.co's ICO went flawlessly, I would say. At least, for me.

Those, blaming ETH network, where is your logic? You are desperately trying to invest in a network that relies on ETH network to be functioning. At the end you are trying to send your money to ETH network too, but blame it how shitty it is...

Welp my transaction got "refreshed" (The age got one hour lower) and now it just vanished out of thin air. I guess the network just won't deal with that amount of transactions.

And not one word from the Status team about this debacle... Those, blaming ETH network, where is your logic? Well, we are just finding out about the true nature of the Eth network.

This happened to me too during the bancor ICO. I think they should just allow any mining fee size in future and let people pay the miners more if they really want in. I really don't like this max gas price model they are doing.

I've seen plenty of posts from people who cashed out huge quantities of ETH at $10 or bitcoin at $100. They've lost way more. Everyone makes mistakes; no-one follows the absolute best path at all times. You're not the first one to fall for something like this, and won't be the last. You could look at it as being quite lucky that it only cost a couple of ETH, and you'll be much more aware of scams from now on. I'd try to take the positives, it could have been way worse, and a lot of people have lost a lot more than that by either buying high and selling low, or else just cashing out at the wrong time.
