A price change like today that came in at $3000 and might leave at $2500 or $2700 can take a lot of power out of those new buyers and even cause another second day drop due to panic selling. 

That's how it goes, in every dump there's a corresponding pump, what only good in this interaction is that mostly the lump is higher as unexpected and when it dumps it doesn't normally leave at that level or not having a lot og difference at it's pump like your example, so possibilities that it'll take higher than $4000 is really possible in btc.

It is wrong to limit the growth of bitcoin with numerical barriers. What if bitcoin is constant right now, what if it will be unable to reach $4000 by the end of year? Will you all discard it as failure?
I think bitcoin has proved enough by now and this is time to make most of it by giving it more utility, stop thinking about prices they will rise automatically.

I think bitcoin has proved enough by now and this is time to make most of it by giving it more utility, stop thinking about prices they will rise automatically.

I agree, often users are too overloaded with price predictions, wondering how the price will look in a month, year, five years. Of course that price matters but there are also other Bitcoin benefits and every user should define its own strategy regarding Bitcoin that will calculate volatility and some predictions but that will not be guided only with this.

Good analysis, I also believe price of bitcoin in this month will reach $3000 and I will be willing to wait for the achievement, because I think before entering august the bitcoin price will skyrocket again and I do not know the story about bitcoin after entering the month of august which has predicted that bitcoin price will down and some are forecast to continue to rise and skyrocket again. Yes from a hope, we can motivate ourselves to be courageous in taking a decision, as you have done and I think it is a good move to start investing. I also do not know and I also can not predict about price of bitcoin but I'm sure and keep hoping if the bitcoin price will reach $3000 till $4000 in this month, just a hope it makes me gain confidence in this.

Bitcoin will not be able to reach the 4000$ value or more than that. Bitcoin has exponentially increased in value this year and even pumped up to 3000$ before it went down. Today its price is again moving up but we can see that the new trend traps the value of bitcoin between 2200$ to 2500$. With it we can be certain that another spike in bitcoins value will no longer appear since it has already been done already this year. What we could least expect for bitcoin is for it to hit 3000 $ value by December this year. If we are going to spike 4000$ or more it will be next year so let us just hold on to our bitcoin and sell it next year.

That price that you want for bitcoin to become stable will happen in the next year, in my opinion because the price of bitcoin now is just starting to move up again and it will be hard for bitcoin to reach $3,000 price because of the fear of the incoming bitcoin segwitx2 in august 1 and because of that fear, it makes the price to move more on dump rather than pump.
