It's both possible and not since it is future that we are discussing and there's no person that can exactly predict what will happen. Also, There are countless possibilities that might happen to bitcoin but let's just hope that it will reach $4000.

Thats true, but still we can see that bitcoin has recovered quickly and now worth of 2700$. Maybe yes it will take some time to get trust from investors, but the cap of 4000$, wouldn`t be so far away, maybe even next year

4000$ price will be so very hard for bitcoin to reach this year, but 3000$+ price has a big chance to come out next month. For what i know segwit2x prevented the incoming chain split.

With no doubt,bitcoin is a blessing.Most of us expected that bitcoin would cross $3000 by june 2017 but due to fear of hard fork,many sold in panic and its price dropped.Thats why we have the price of $2250 today.But after segwit activation,we could expect price to cross $4000.

Majority of bitcoin users including myself was expecting the price to cross a level of $3000 which was my selling target for that time as well. The price reached to $3000 but unfortunately couldn’t sustain at that price for longer and started falling down abruptly.

I couldn’t found a shelter for my bitcoin when it was standing at $3000 which doesn’t mean that I sell my bitcoin at a lower price. I have now set a new target selling price which is $4000 and it will be achieved in mid-August or in the end of August.

I think opposite as i think since Softfork is going to be implemented and bitcoin price is over 2700$, we soon can see 3500$ bitcoin price. To cross the 4000$ needs some effort  but it is still possible. There are lots of sell orders near 4000$ but i am sure they all will be crossed and bitcoin will really be a  very high and expensive currency.

With the update locked in Iam seeing BTC could get to 4,000 USD within the next few months.

It quite possibly could stay between 3,500 and 4,000 for awhile. Lots of things are looking good. We will see how the update goes and if any issues arise, but it doesn't look like any problems are going to happen.

Yes it seems like a problem like the chain split that has been many talked about does not seem to be happening because of the positive things happening now at the bitcoin price that stays on top. 4k dollars is the price that will probably break in the next few months.

It is very important to do the correction of loop holes present in the blockchain technology to make bitcoin worth $4000. There are severe changes which are being undertaken for the sake of bitcoin. When bitcoin will be locked to segwit then the investment will start taking place in the market and the rise of bitcoin would be unimaginative. It's not just fun that we can take out of it but we must learn what important changes are being done to advance the bitcoin.

I think it is not a less risk investment as I agree with some of the sentiments of the people here that bitcoin is unpredicatble and though it has a trend of declining and then coming back stronger we cant really say for sure how long the trend would last and though yes it is very profitable. Iwould still say that we need tolearn more from itbefore buying and selling

You don`t even know what you are commenting... next time before you make a comment try not to be lazy, with very simple check you could find out that price is 2716.15 US Dollars, that is 1000$ in less then one day. If you think that price is decreasing then something is wrong with you.
Just type in google predictions about bitcoin price, news in last one month are giving so optimistic statements about future of bitcoin price that for me is hard to believe in all that. As the demand for bitcoin is going up, price will follow too. Bitcoin will get to 4 and 5 thousands one day, and stay there for sure, but when will it happen is just a wild guessing. I know that I would be satisfied if we go to 3,000$ until the next year and stay there for a while.

It's just a wild guessing like you said. Aiming 4k or 5k $ for bitcoin is not away but we have more way to pass while bitcoin has too much room to grow up.

Of course it would be nice to reach a new ATH within no time, but a slower constant growth would be more preferable. With volatility comes profit, but most people are not traders and Bitcoin is not meant to be only a currency worth trading. Let us see and wait, we are still in the mid year and lots of things will sure happen.  We had witnessed how price swings wildly from a dump to a possible bubble.  So I do not think that $4000 will be very hard of bitcoin.  Please think that bitcoin is on its way to solve its scaling issue. There are lots of people and miners wanting to solve this issue thus the success lock for Bip 91.  Let us wait how the market react on Aug. 1 though I believe it is really a bullish bitcoin with this updates.

From what i saw since October 2015 at December the price does raise always 200-400 dollars, i dont know if is connected to Christmas, but something happens as magic on those period, soo my opinion is since we cross the segwit episode, we will see bitcoin recovering and reach the 3000 dollars, at end of the year i do believe 4000 dollars is possible, since more countries can join Japan and spread ahead bitcoin value.

i think the price of bitcoin is not decreasing any more but we can see that  the price of bitcoin is even increase as the 1st August is approaching to me i think people are confident and sure about that there will be no such effect of the 1st August on the price of bitcoin and hope that the price of bitcoin will continue increase regardless the issue of 1st August.

to me although the price of bitcoin has the capability to increase it price and reach to 10000$ but currency as the price of bitcoin trading below 3000$ and we are also facing the 1st August and still the users of bitcoin are also very low in number therefore it will take a lot of time to reach to the price of 10000$. but still the possibilities for the price of bitcoin to reach to that price is still there.
