In that sense then all altcoins are scam and who ever is helping them are scammer, even you are also scammer as you are promoting cryptocurrency which in your sense is a scam and you are promoting it so you are also scammer.

If there is news that says eth scam, the news is inconsequential and untrustworthy. We shouldn't say a coin is a scam if the coin isn't really a scam. As long as the coin is still in the market and is believed to have good movement then it shouldn't be said to be a scam. Besides that, we can see the technology carried by a coin. If the technology brought is useful and can be felt in a real way then we should not immediately believe that a coin is a scam product. We must be careful with the amount of news circulating in the community so that we can be wiser in doing business.

I saw this post sometime ago and I laughed. Why will someone term Ethereum scam? I think such noobs should be educated. Ethereum is really making waves with development and if anyone should tag ethereum scam, then the person is indirectly calling crypto as a whole scam because many projects rely or once relied on Ethereum to distribute ERC20 tokens via token sale.

How can ethereum be a scam? The statistic may be just an error and inaccurate. I think there are many rival coins that may be publishing this fake data so as to tarnish the image of ethereum. The coin is the top two coin in the market cap and it does not need to look back when it comes to attracting investors. It has already won the hearts of many investors. It is good to collect substantial evidences to prove a claim.

Altcoins is market dominance is lower than bitcoin but ETH is the king in altcoins market, so the rest will be scam if ETH is scam, that's a simple analysis.

Why this thread is not yet locked? It has been proven that the OP's stats regarding the distribution of the tokens was wrong. Vitalik does not own that many tokens, and this was proven many years back. And by now, we have a fair idea about the amount of ETH tokens in circulation and about the distribution of the tokens by owners. And this is what makes ETH different from the establishment backed XRP.

I know this thread is very old. And people have fear may ethereum exist a scam them. But you can see it now. Ethereum is one of the best project happen to this whole ecosystem. It is like a revolutionary project which have changed the market. For this one project the dapps are popular in blockchain not only dapps new projects with blockchain is constantly coming to this market for ethereum. It is the biggest platform based token till now. But in this upgraded ecosystem ethereum is kind of outdated bin some way and in the market we got many goot opponent of ethereum bwhich is even better than ethereum technically. But recently they announced and applied Constantinople hardfork and they already worked on their problems.

In my opinion, this is not possible because there are still so many people investing in ethereum now and they are benefiting from the trade done in the ethereum section, so it is very unlikely that ethereum is a scam.

Very entertaining if people say that Ethereum scam in 2017, when this thread was created. I, from the first knowing ethereum until now certainly never said that ethereum is a scam. And now I still have ethereum because I believe in the future it will be great again.
