Exactly - there's no chance in hell this thing cost more than 20-30$.

Yet AM is selling it for 230$ so we could support a network, lol.

I would be interested but not at a price of 2 BTC. If only one Avalon ASIC chip is used, this device would be noticeably slower than AM's.

Let's change it up. I'd be interested in this but non-assembled. In other words, customer solders everything accordingly. Lowers costs for distributor so they can pass some of those savings onto the customer.

I'd be interested, but I would like to see a solution for multiple chips for around 600+mh/s but im not sure if a usb port would be enough to power it, although, you could always plug these into a 2A usb wall charger for 4x the power and make it have a small wifi chipset on it instead of a need for a host pc.

Around the same I'm guessing?

ASIC USB = 300 mh/s
Avalon ASIC chip = 286 mh/s

That's alot more work involved lol.

bkk said he could do approx $20 for a kit and $30 assembled. although we still have to wait a bit for specifics. Just thought it would be a much better idea than asicminer's plan.

Much more realistic.
I may look into purchasing more Avalon chips.

I could totally see making these for $20 kit or $30 assembled.

Would that include the ASIC, or is that separate?

Putting an avalon chip on a USB stick for $20-$30 makes sense
