If you read carefully the rules and the website, you will understand everything... probably like the 400 registered players. 
I am sure that you understood that "854.01 Enigma" have a solution and you will have to discover it.
Maybe 43.7,7.117 is a GPS clue ? Maybe not ?... sorry but you will not have free answers here  , but you can submit all your suggestions on the website. Easy.
You can also play with friends. It's often easier to find solutions..

Here's my question. I'm not asking you to reveal the location, but if it is possible can you give an idea of how you guys picked it. Obviously, the majority of the Earth is covered in water. So to use a completely random set of coordinates would most likely put the point of the treasure in some random location in the middle of an ocean or in the Arctic or the Antarctic. So in order for you to contain the coordinates to at least a semi populated area you would have had to use you some system. I am just curious how you guys did that and still remain impartial as far as picking the location.

Well, we can't complain about the big prize to be escrowed or not to convince ourselves to be a part of this game.
As Op already stated it free but only for smart guys or a group of nerds. There's nothing we can do about it but just watch over who will get the prize obviously, unless if you want to give it a shot, just playing without an intend to be the winner in order to prevent stress in case someone else get the prize or there's no prize at all, who knows?? as it is another enigma.

Good question.  The location is not in the Ocean, Artic or Antartic... but the earth is so big.
I think that the most exciting thing of the game, is not the exact "GPS coordinates" or the final location to be honest.
I will not reveal more details but, of course, it is the conclusion of the ENiGMA game (If you play, you might have understood some clues inside) but it is much more fun to solve the 17 enigmas first.

I don't know where you live but if your country does not permit to participate, do not play..
All is written in the rules, a PDF of 10 pages on the website.
The game is free and everybody can submit solutions. We always answer if your solution is correct / or not.

We recommend you to use free tools : Translation tools online (Google Translate..), Map Tools (Google map for gps..), Searching engine for finding images, Image tools and filters (like free photoshop, snapseed, illustrator..), Music tools (like Shazaam, protools, audacity...), Websites specialized in signs,codes, flags..

For our new players, in general the easiest enigmas solved are: 494.01, 701.03 and 255.01

We have already sent 561 clues to players who decided to have a little help with the Ebook ENiGMA 51 clues.
