Reason for Bitcoin price fall

Could directbet closure have so much influence to affect the price besides directbet always limited players on how much they could wager per bet? It could be a mere speculation as to why price few and most likely a correction was the reason for the fall but good news for us btc price is recovering again

The closure doesn't affect the price of BTC.

What has the potential to make a difference is if directbet were holding 1,000+ btc and liquidated their holdings on the market.

bitcoin is high in price now a days on increasing  mode its value is going upwards the value of bitcoin is known only by the real user of this market and on the forum its known by the organizer  .and thareal price never go down or never fell down during increasing era so I dnt think so that bitcoin price will  get down easily. .

it has mostly recovered to the $2,500 the last time I checked. Regarding the reason, I can't think of anything specific in the last few days except the announcement of developers regarding making a fork if the miners make the new system of BTC, that kind of news is never relaxing for investors and bring allot of fear and hesitation.

Yeah the fork stuff is really disturbing. No one knows exactly what is going to happen with bitcoin. The future of bitcoin I think will be decided after this. Currently it seems like bitcoin is recovering and is doing well for the holders. The fate of Both bitcoin and its holders will be decided after the expected split.

I think the reason is in panic selling that btc price fall. Traders grab the opportunity to buy bitcoin at low price then they hold it. Because they might beleive btc will rise again and ofcourse they can earn profit in the long run. Even me I also hold my bitcoin though we cannot predict at until what price it will hit.

Panic happened just after a 200 dollar fall then it goes on and on as many users see like it is going to fall more.
A good strategy for others who have go on with the flow. They made a good decision.
Problem now is how you would get back all those coins considering the expensive rates of bitcoin wallet sites.

but i think the big whale now cannot effect the market too much. because of the increasing number of bitcoin uses, the market can take a little correction but cannot dropped too much. we have some examples from precious time, we can see that the price of bitcoin after taking some correction now again start increasing.

I think investors got nervous on what gonna happen in Aug 1 that is why there are panic selling. I don't know about the big whales, for me they don't have the capability to manipulate the price of bitcoin now, unlike before. We have seen two price dips in succession now, so bitcoin price is really unpredictable. But now I'm seeing that we are going to $2800. Are we going to see another dip or will it continue to rise to $3000 before another dump occurs?

You are missing one important point, and that point is that whales are only becoming more influential as their stash has been increasing big time throughout the years.

Put that against the newer people that have to enter the market at current levels, and you'll directly see how insignificant these people are.

Don't forget that the higher the price is, the lower the amounts are that people can afford. People were already struggling to buy 1BTC at sub $1000 levels, just imagine how that is right now.

Or how this will play out in the future when we happen to hit the $10,000 mark. Whales will only gain more control over the market in the coming years ~ we can't avoid this.

Rise and fall in price of any commodity is necessitated by the elementary forces of demand and supply. It's the basic law of market economics. Bitcoin isnt excepted from obeying this law. And since all eyes are literally on Bitcoin it will continue to witness a rise and fall. This also happens with the altcoins people think have potentials not just with Bitcoin alone. i think some whales are afraid too lose the chance to have money. that's why they pull it out when the price of bitcoin reach the high bracket price . when they pulling their money out of their wallet bitcoin price is affected because whales are commonly seen at the market and the market has a lot of part in terms of bitcoin price.

On the other hand, though, miners (Jihan and his unscrupulous minions) will likely try to escalate things further as we are getting closer to SegWit activation without locking the 2M hard fork for activation a few months later. It is better to buy bitcoin now because we are still in a bubble, i hope the price is still not too low before the bubble will burst out. Bitcoin will go down a bit once the price market will be checking for price correction of bitcoin. I think it will last a few months since bitcoin is a bit low in the past few months.
