This isn't a bad article, per say, they do have some things lacking but for the most part I think that this is actually pretty cool article which does touch on a lot of the issues that I've been seeing with Bitcoin over the past while. I think he does miss a lot of other uses for Bitcoin, since he claims that Bitcoin is used primarily for gambling and money laundering, and I know from experience that I do other things with Bitcoin, but he does make some valid points.

What the fuck is this kind of critique lmao?

This is just ad hominem attacks and then you compare the author to Hitler like a moron, just because it hurts your fee-fees and you don't like seeing someone write something that isn't in alignment with your beliefs doesn't justify calling them Hitler for fuck's sake. You sound like a bitching liberal from the last year.

God this shit is why I haven't been able to stand this forum for the past three months. I just constantly see stupid shit like this and it irritates me because there are people with room-temperature IQs showing up and just making some of the most retarded posts I've seen on this forum.

God damn we might as well just start calling everything Hitler eh?

That's a lot of swearing in your signature spam. To me it's a compliment comparing the article with something Hitler could have wrote. A great compliment. So you are a man who has no idea, at all. Congrats!

>Everyone with a signature is signature spamming

Mmhmm. If I was spamming I would not be taking the time to write something like this as it is much more efficient to simply leave a very off-handed comment on something and then move on to the next thread instead of actually being involved with a discussion. However, again, all you have are ad hominem attacks, much out of a liberal playbook.

Most people would not equate Hitler's writing in a positive context, especially considering the comments that you had left beforehand in the same post. Implying that I am a man who has no idea at all because you're all over the place with your logic, and apparently out of touch with expected relationships with what you are writing, is, again, an ad hominem attack. Because there is a lack of an argument.

And I'm free to disagree and complain about others' posts, as this forum allows for free speech (mostly) and if I want to call someone out I can, and you can equally write a rebuttal in the same manner. Like how it should be.

The article has a point. But I think as soon Bitcoin progresses and achieves the ultimate mainstream media attention, the purpose of Bitcoin will be further enlightened. Shops and store will begin to accept Bitcoin. But it all depends on the future.

No. Please check post history. You are what we call a paragraph sig spammer. You just write a couple blocks of irrelevant or semi-relevant quark. That, however, is indeed the better type of sig spammer.

And I'm free to disagree and complain about others' posts, as this forum allows for free speech (mostly)

I can compare an article to whatever or whoever I want. Sig spammer penny collectors hating on it or not Smiley Smiley Smiley
I still manage to write on topic and contribute to a discussion as opposed to just replying to the OP, however that's something that I'm not going to bother commenting further on since because I have a signature your entire argument will revolve around the mere presence of it and not that I'm actually waiting for comments to said posts. However, I have no reason to justify anything to you and it doesn't matter to me.

And yes, you're allowed to compare whatever you want to whoever you want, and I'm allowed to say it's retarded. You can respond. Just like how it should be. I have no issue with a system like this, not sure why you would either.

The article has a point. But I think as soon Bitcoin progresses and achieves the ultimate mainstream media attention, the purpose of Bitcoin will be further enlightened. Shops and store will begin to accept Bitcoin. But it all depends on the future.
It does, this article does appear to be a little on the side of no-coiners in general (and some of the anger of not getting their hands on some of that value) and there's a lot of potential growth for Bitcoin in the actual retail scene of the global economy, assuming that retailers are willing to accept it. Any specific industries you'd like to see growth in, considering we have a significant game retailing and software-retailing platforms (Steam and Microsoft) accepting Bitcoin?

don't read too much into it, he just copy pasted the "idea" of last comment above him. and that is saying this stupid mentality of the article belongs to 2012ish. no idiot these days thinks that way. but many pretend they do to push an agenda.

and it is actually funny that the article was published on 15th after the big drop not lets say a week ago when price was rising... hmmm. makes you think doesn't it!

He did not take the dark markets into consideration. That is where almost all the commerce using Bitcoin is happening. Maybe he needs to put in more research before making strong statements.

The black and gray markets are huge and Bitcoin has only started to scratch the surface.

"None of the defenders’ other arguments stack up."   Huh

There was no points in that article except a little note commenting that the price fell.

Yap and many people or business structures was helped by btc. Mostly financially. There are some issues that just occured just when btc was starting to be recognized around the world. It may have its own downfall but it is not a garbage. Depends on the users on how they would use it and if a user was a victim of a scam than that is his own lesson to learn. Many people have become dependent just in btc alone. Others are full time here or even a sideline job but it is definitely worth it.
