I think TEZOS ICO needs a maximum cap.
They want to start the ICO with no max cap.

They need investors, but the tokens will be worthless or cheaper on the exchange.
I want to invest but these terms are bad for investors.

capped icos are scams.... you want to be part of a scam if you can get in on it. to simply dump the worthless scam tokens for more than you got them for.

any capped ico will be abused

if it were capped you would probably not have a chance of getting in before insiders and whales pulled the scheme you want to pull they just have more power to execute your same plan on a larger scale.

all these icos selling out in seconds are just ways for whales and insiders to instamine near 100% of the minting so they can manipulate the markets for months or until they have sold it all on to other gullible fomo investors for magnitudes more.

a project is meant to find a fair price to justify the work/effort and design not just be a vehicle for manipulation and fleecing through fomo those that did not get in on the insta ico in those first few seconds.

I trust ICO's that have either a maximum cap or atleast save some coins for future partnership or future sell. Because if the company needs more money to develop or market their project, they can sell more tokens.

If is uncapped then it can be uncontrolled, and it will create a bubble.

If it is uncapped it is harder for insiders to manipulate it.
Investors need to be responsible and evaluate the projects true worth and not invest after that level of funding has been reached.

This will also help for trading when it comes to exchanges people need to evaluate the project and not buy after it exceeds that MC.

With closed or capped the development team and insider whales can simply build fomo snap it all up themselves for a capped limit less than everyone believes it is worth then force others to pay magnitudes more.

these stealth and insta icos can stay at huge MC values for as long as the controlling whales want them to. I mean even if they just sell the insta ico tokens for x10 for months they soon make huge profits to repeat this over and over with other insta icos.

Yes I totally agree that there should be a max cap.I think they are being greedy as they want to get as much funds as they can.Do not invest unless it get on exchange where we can get better price

I agree. This is why I'm not taking part.
The way ICOs have gone recently, I wouldn't be surprised if Tezos immediately jumps to top 10 in marketcap, then the price plummets as whales cash out.

I agree. They said that "Following the example set by the Ethereum Foundation, there is no cap on the amount of contributions that will be accepted by the Foundation" and I think the reason is not reasonable. I hope there is a maximum cap to limit the funds.

My thought if the tezos project want to break a new record in the crypto crowdfunding that has hold by bancor project. With the unlimited cap and I think those will throw a lot of money on that place. Tezos must think for a twice about that.

If it's capped, whales will be buying in and wiping out everyone. Then people will be complaining they were pushed out of the ICO.
Now if there's no cap, both whales and all other fish can buy in.

You talk about greedy developers but you're investing in the hope to sell high once it hits the exchanges which is greedy too.

I think ico prices r absolutely insane right now. You've got unproven coins getting vallued at billions of dollars right off the bat.

If that isn't insanity, I don't know what it is, people need to step back and see what is going on

But it's hard when motivated by greed - I'm as guilty as any for fueling this insanity

If they put a maximum cap that would protect ICO investors. Tezos is collecting investment with Bitcoin, so we don't have to see some dumb contract cancellation like Ether do. At least you are safe when you pay high fees in Bitcoin transactions.
When ICO's collect 100+ million dollars there's no more way to go higher price in trading exchange. Marketcaps look like a bubble already.
