there was a time when people were uninformed and thought bitcoin is giving the full anonymity also by that time no other anonymous cryptocurrency existed or were popular. then people started knowing bitcoin is not really anonymous, and also other real anon cryptos such as monero came. long story short these days bitcoin share of the market is nearly non existent. everyone is either using cash or XMR. some are using some other anon alts.

You're campaigning for BitMixer and you're saying Bitcoin is not anonymous? How about getting to know BitMixer a bit more mate Smiley

Not only you can mix your coins but you can also save the identifier so you'll never ever get back the same coins if you happen to use the mixer in the future. Bitcoin tumbling is still alive  Cheesy

Disclaimer: I have nothing against BitMixer as such

And how are we going to know BitMixer (or any other mixing service, for that matter) a bit more? How do you know that at least some of these services are not in fact established as honey-pots by alphabet agencies. I don't mean BitMixer specifically (long live them), I refer to such services in general. Further, even with mixers Bitcoin is not truly anonymous. All mixers save logs at least for some time (to resolve possible disputes with their clients), and if they are captured by the government you are pretty much screwed

Most of the transactions of the black market is using Fiat currency. It is easier and more confidential. Do not forget that the black market is breaking the law and therefore initially do not trust each other. In such circumstances, it is easier to make transactions for cash.
