Why you said that?It did always newbies.But they get lots of experiences in crypto.Then they become experts slowly.Now the time they don't do buy high & sell low.
I mean your question depend on mainly experience.

My advice (what's working for me).... write your set of trading rules on a piece of paper and stick it somewhere in front of you!!! Sounds stupid, but works. At a minimum you should three things.
1. where you will fix your profit (i'd say the profit potential should be at least twice as big as the loss you are willing to tolerate).
2. where you will fix your loss (do not less losses run).
3. reason for entering a trade (make sure the reason is not an emotional factor).

... and stick to your piece of paper!!!

Indeed. "Buy low, sell high" sounds very simple doesn't it? But I think most traders actually do the opposite. They often buy in when the crypto is on the rise, and sell in on the way down.

How do you control this? Plan your trades. Decide on and set a certain price where you're planning on buying. Don't let your emotions take control of you.

Also, be active on bitcoin news. There are tons of websites that can provide that. Google is your friend. 

I can confirm that I bought bitcoin cash when it was at 2100 lol a few hours later it went up some more and crashed within 5min to 1400 lol
i lost almost half my money with that mistake and lesson learned never ride the wave when it already started

I jumped on way too late and eventually the wave crashed back down with me.

That is what the most of the traders and investors doing, they keep on buying high and when there is a FUD or something bad about bitcoin or to a particular coin then they will just sell low and accept the loss and be proud to their selves that they get out before the ship completely sink but they didn't know that it is just normal and nothing to worry about.

Yes indeed these panic sellers thinks that they did the best and proud of themselves for selling the last dime they had just to regret and cry over it in couple of month when the price soars extremely high.

See, you should have go around this forum and see what really going up before jumping onto something. Did you really think that bitcoin cash will take over the market? Its indeed a hard lessons for you sir because people how have bought it also lost big chunks of money specially like you who bought it at top price.

You should stick to bitcoin and buy your money with it, right now bitcoin is going up. You could have make a decent profit. For the news, there nothing that can beat our old forum here. There are too much knowledgeable members here. But just be careful because some of them are just spreading fake news. Just look at their previous post and you will know if they really intelligent enough to make such bold predictions.

Buy low and sell high would be correct to all new trader. The key to not repeat this mistake is learn how to control your emotion.

It all depends on the condition through which you are going through. It is a general principal that most of us follows in order to have better profit. Buying the bitcoins at low price and then selling them at higher rates will for sure help you in earning of more money.

The thing is you cannot follow the very same lines every time you go for trading. There are certain occasions when you have to sell your coins at lower rates as well.

I've been trading FX before (mostly EURUSD and GBPUSD) for approx 2 years, and then moved into cryptos maybe half a year ago (maybe a little late, but I already got my fair share of the roller-coaster ). Currently trading only the most liquid stuff... BTC and ETH.

it is simple, stop doing random stuff and call it trading!

people usually just buy things they think are good or worse things that some random dude told them are good, not because they analyzed them and came to the conclusion that it is a good idea to invest. so it becomes a gamble at some point. and as long as it is a gamble, you can't know which way it will go.

Well, that is the basic idea of trading. Trading should be more strategic than that. Buy low sell high is so simplistic that you nay not get out alive while swimming with whales. You must be strategic, responsive and technical with a little bit of luck.

Well i call it crazy people who sell in a low price really didnt gain profit specially when theg biy it on a high price. I think people who buy high then sell low is a fool person maybe he or she can get another way to earn than doing this crazy thing.maybe it will happen to those person who are luck of experience  or maybe they are getting panic about the price but that was not really a reason to do wrong .

 That exactly what I did in the past few days because bitcoin had suddenly struggled in hard fork in that time from $7600 going to $6000 below. So I grab the opportunity buy low sell high it's really effective. But we should keep on monitoring the price chart of bitcoin so that we can updated as well and also latest news about it .

Maybe OP's just thinking about something else that is why he said "Buy high Sell low" rather than Buy low Sell High, because if you are going to buy high and sell low, then you are a insane person, lol, nobody does that, you are going to lose your money instead of having profits in the long run, though Trading is not that easy because you have to choose carefully the coins that you are going to use in Trading.
