Beware of BBQcoin.com.

It could be a scam site.

The restaurants on there do not take BBQcoin as payment, the website has lied.

Even if you use Bitcoin through Tor, the way transactions are handled by the network makes anonymity difficult to achieve. Do not expect your transactions to be anonymous unless you really know what you're doing.

Prove it.

I want to make a purchase using BBQcoin please.

Can you give me a simple guide how this can be done on both of this restaurants websites?

BBQcoin.org deals with the client, in essence the coin, your website deals in services, there is a big difference and people are getting them mixed up.

Do we work together or against each other?

I won't argue with someone who defames. BBQcoin.com promotes BQC and doesn't compete with you...

I said could be a scam site, only because as they have lied on their website. Scam means a promise under false pretences.

You cannot use BBQcoin to buy anything from those website restaurants as per the screen shot.

But how? The price of BBQcoin changes every few minutes. BTC uses Bitpay but even that is not active on the site. Also both the restaurants are connected. One selling ice cream.

I have the BBQ wallet installed on the POS. The rate will be what is agreed upon based around the trading price. If anyone lives in or near Ohio they can come down (with their laptop) & I will accept BQC as form of payment at Stoney Creek Roasters or The Neapolitan.  Now this is not as sexy as Bitpay but it works.

Ok that is totally fine and I am impressed that the restaurant owners who has said he is not affiliated with BBQcoin.com is allowing payments by BQC. It works by taking your laptop down to them and then transfer your BBQcoins too them.

This should just have been explained by BBQcoin.com more clearly as to not confuse new users.

The official BBQcoin.org website works on and develops client updates and is working on adding stable nodes but the website as it is right now is designed to be simple and easy to use just like Bitcoin.org.

We also offer mining and client support in an technical sense too, the same as we do on our IRC channel.

BBQcoin.com is a service offering and information site, however I don't even think they offer the most upto date client download.

BBQcoin.org is the development website and team.

Why BBQcoin.com even has to have a client download link I don't know. It's even a self extracted installer which I know a lot of users don't like.

The client for safety reasons should only be downloaded from BBQcoin.org

Also the client source code on BBQcoin.com is the wrong one. Why is the website giving out all the wrong information and downloads?

BBQcoin.org should be handling the client download and even more so the source code which we have access and work on daily.

We don't need two sites offering download links.

BBQcoin.com - The out of date client and wrong source code.

BBQcoin.org - Fully upto date, as we develop them.

I have also just invested £1000 in an hardware and software advertisement campaign for BBQcoin to bridge the gap between high end gamers and mining BBQcoins.

I have always been a high end gamer and have always been involved in their communities.

My main aim is to help these two communities cross.

Nice find, a link to the app:

https://itunes.apple.com/us/app/coin-ticker-bitcoin-altcoins/id636476147?mt=8

Hopefully will see an Android app soon! Checking exchanges on my phone kills my battery when I'm out and about.

I agree with CaptChadd that there should only be 1 download source and that should be BBQcoin.org. Would the owners of BBQcoin.com please update their links to point to the BBQcoin.org website? This will fix some of the issues CaptChadd and the development team have with the .com website. Personally I think it's great that more people are getting involved and making websites but we need to have the main stuff at one location.

100% agree and this is the only way BBQcoin is going to work if we need to move forward and develop the currency further.

And another thing, we must be liked, as BBQcoin and only a handful of other Altcoins got picked on http://altcoinprofit.org as the most potential for the future.

Have u thought about taking BBQ orders over the phone?  Let's say i know what i want so i call u up and tell me how many coins it will be then i send them from home (or wherever i have my wallet stored) i then come down to your store and give u my coin address to confirm that i payed.

Would be nice if there was a phone app.
